Entering the final day running second in chips, Kobe was a dominant force throughout, railing numerous players including American pro Daniel Cates just after the money bubble burst. At heads up, Kobe only lost the lead once after doubling up Aori twice, but quickly regained it and closed it out.
A well deserved victory for Kobe who conquered the first ever Jin Bei Cup Short Deck Main Event for a payout of US$ 1,656,000.

Kobe reclaims the lead with quads
Kobe has climbed back up top after filling up to quads. Hand opens with a 1,100,00 raise by Aori that's called. At the flop 7♥ T♦ 8♥ , Kobe leads out 1,500,000, Aori check-raises all in, Kobe snap calls and doubles up back to the throne at the runout turn K♣ and river 8♦ .
