After a lengthy Day 2, the returning 64 player field played down to its final nine players with Chase Cup’s own Chase Cokaliong leading the charge. Cokaliong started the day with a hefty stack and relentlessly continued piling up chips from start to finish. Midday saw the series’ founder put a PHP 200,000 (~USD 3,490) on his head which turned out to be unclaimed through the end of the night. Cokaliong stacks a massive 4,165,000 (104 BB) chip count to start tomorrow’s Final Table games, followed by Junnie Pamplona with 2,255,000 (56 BB).

Folded to Ronn Ryan Mesina in the small blind, he shoved all-in for 260,000 with T♥ 7♥ and was called by Chris Boys behind with Q♦ J♦ . In for a race, the board 4♣ 9♣ A♦ 4♦ 3♥ missed to pair either player, leaving Boys’s queen high good for the taking.

Down to a micro stack, Clyde Ravina went with K♥ 9♥ for his last 85,000 and faced raiser Chris Boys’s A♣ 4♣ . The board 6♦ 2♣ 7♠ A♦ 4♠ offered no help for Ravina, sending him out of the Main Event games.

Hijack Rey Bagyo opened to 50,000, called by small blind Chris Boys. Action on flop K♣ J♥ 5♦ was checked through, leading to turn 7♥ . Bagyo this time, bet 80,000, check called by Boys. River came 9♥ which saw Boys move all-in and Bagyo folds.

Cutoff Chris Boys open shoved his 361,000 stack in with K♥ J♥ and was called by big blind Rey Bagyo with Q♦ J♣ . Dominated, Bagyo failed to catch up on board J♠ 6♠ 9♣ 8♦ 7♠ , doubling his opponent back up to over 60 BB.

Utg Chris Boys opened to 26,000, called behind by Edilberto Gopez. On flop 3♠ 4♦ Q♣ , Boys continued for 100,000 and proceeded with an all-in for 370,000 total on turn A♠ . Gopez called both streets with K♦ Q♦ , and was no good against Boys’ A♦ K♠ even after the river landed K♥ .

Utg Migs Espino opened to 15,000, called behind by hijack Chris Boys. On flop 5♥ J♣ 3♣ , Espino check called Boys’s 100,000 all-in with 7♣ 7♠ and was crushed to see Boys’s K♠ J♦ top pair. Down to two outs, the turn 8♣ and river 6♠ were neither one of them, leaving Espino to fork over a chunk of his stack.

Facing a cutoff open from Chris Boys, big blind Alex Cruz moved all-in for 560,000 total with T♣ T♥ , called by the raiser with A♣ J♠ . At risk, Cruz managed to fade Boys’s outs up until the river 5♠ kd} 9♥ 5♦ A♦ landed an ace to eliminate him as the day’s bubble.

From utg+1 Chris Boys opens 1,800 then calls utg+2 Jeff Sibal’s 3,100 re-raise. Sibal c-bets the flop 4♥ J♠ A♣ , Boys check-calls. On the turn 8♥ , Sibal fires 12,000 and wins the pot.

Utg+2 opened to 2,000, called by Ryan Antig behind along with button Chris Boys. Flop came 3♠ T♥ 3♥ and action was checked to Boys who bet 1,500. Both players make the call and head to turn Q♦ . Antig this time leads for 16,000, followed by an all-in from Boys for 38,000 total. Raiser calls off for his 17,800 behind and Antig puts in the final call.
