After a lengthy Day 2, the returning 64 player field played down to its final nine players with Chase Cup’s own Chase Cokaliong leading the charge. Cokaliong started the day with a hefty stack and relentlessly continued piling up chips from start to finish. Midday saw the series’ founder put a PHP 200,000 (~USD 3,490) on his head which turned out to be unclaimed through the end of the night. Cokaliong stacks a massive 4,165,000 (104 BB) chip count to start tomorrow’s Final Table games, followed by Junnie Pamplona with 2,255,000 (56 BB).

Remaining Payouts

Folded to Ronn Ryan Mesina in the small blind, he shoved all-in for 260,000 with T♥ 7♥ and was called by Chris Boys behind with Q♦ J♦ . In for a race, the board 4♣ 9♣ A♦ 4♦ 3♥ missed to pair either player, leaving Boys’s queen high good for the taking.

The 495 entry field is down to 11 players with two more eliminations to go before the Day closes.

Utg Joel Diaz opened the action and called off Joshua Figuerres’ 10 BB jam to put the latter at risk. Figuerres is ahead with A♣ 9♥ against Diaz’ K♥ Q♥ , yet quickly bid his Main Event dreams goodbye after the flop rolled 9♠ Q♠ Q♣ 8♠ 2♥ .

Down to a micro stack, Clyde Ravina went with K♥ 9♥ for his last 85,000 and faced raiser Chris Boys’s A♣ 4♣ . The board 6♦ 2♣ 7♠ A♦ 4♠ offered no help for Ravina, sending him out of the Main Event games.

Small blind Mike Takayama opened to 60,000, called behind by big blind Clyde Ravina. On flop J♥ K♣ 4♣ , Takayama continued for 30,000, Ravina with a call. Turn 7♦ saw Takayama bet all-in for 280,000, called once more by his opponent. Takayama shows K♠ 7♣ for two pair, crushing Ravina’s K♦ T♥ . The river Q♣ sealed the win for Takayama, shipping him a double up to 24 BB.

Chase Cokaliong defended his big blind vs utg Wang Tuck Heng’s 80,000 open and saw flop K♦ 6♣ 7♥ . Cokaliong led out a 100,000 bet, called by the raiser. On turn 8♦ , Cokaliong check called Wang’s all-in for 370,000 to get to showdown. Wang reveals A♣ K♣ for top pair, drawing dead against Cokaliong’s set 8♣ 8♠ to send him out of the running.

Utg John Leonao flicked in his 80,000 with K♦ J♦ , followed by a reshove from Edilberto Gopez for 235,000 with A♣ 5♣ . Small blind Martin B made the final call with A♠ Q♦ for a three way showdown. The board ran 9♥ 8♣ J♥ A♦ 3♦ , landing B the win to bust both Leonao and Gopez in quick fashion.

Cutoff Rey Bagyo opened to 60,000, joined by big blind Junnie Pamplona on flop 2♦ 9♠ 2♥ . Pamplona led for 70,000, called by the raiser. On turn T♦ , Pamplona check called 200,000, and a final 300,000 on river 4♦ . Bagyo shows 8♥ 5♠ for a bluff, leaving Pamplona’s J♠ 9♥ good for the pot.

Utg Chris Boys open shoved 730,000 in with A♦ Q♦ and was called by Ronn Ryan Mesina with K♥ K♠ . A bold move, Boys’s 29 BB jam paid off, earning him a huge double up after the river 2♠ 7♠ 4♣ 4♥ A♠ spiked the ace he needed.

Hijack Ronn Ryan Mesina shoved all-in for 350,000 with A♥ K♣ , called by Kenrick Lim right behind with K♠ J♠ . A great spot for Mesina, the king high board K♦ 3♦ 8♠ 2♦ Q♥ landed both players top pair, Mesina for the win.

Kenrick Lim defended his big blind vs button Chase Cokaliong’s 60,000 open and saw flop Q♠ 3♠ J♦ . Cokaliong continued for 80,000, and another 160,000 on turn A♠ . Lim check called both streets along with a final 350,000 on river T♥ , only to muck after Cokaliong revealed 7♠ 2♠ for a flush.

A blind vs blind battle, Abel Pilayo got his remaining 125,000 in with A♠ 2♠ and was dominated by Alex Cruz’s better A♥ J♠ . Drawing slim, Pilayo exited shortly after the board J♦ 8♦ Q♦ K♠ 2♣ faced up on the felt.

Facing a cutoff open from Edilberto Gopez, button Martin B moved all-in for his last 125,000 with 8♦ 8♠ and was called by the raiser with A♠ J♣ . Flop A♥ J♠ T♦ instantly leaned towards Gopez up until the turn rolled an 8♣ to turn the tables.

Small blind Clyde Ravina bumped it up to 50,000 and called the 105,000 more after big blind Alex Cruz moved all-in. Cruz with A♠ 4♦ is slightly ahead of Ravina’s Q♦ 8♥ and remained with the advantage all through the river 2♣ 6♣ 3♠ 9♥ J♥ .

Utg+1 Clyde Ravina open shoved 410,000 in with A♠ J♣ and faced Abel Pilayo’s better A♣ K♣ . At risk, Ravina was in luck after the flop Q♠ 8♠ J♥ 5♠ 8♥ paired up his jack to eventually secure the double up.

Cutoff Harold Ruaya went with Q♥ 9♥ for his last 440,000 and was called behind by button Chase Cokaliong with K♣ K♦ . Crushed against a monster pair, a dry ten high board quickly sent Ruaya out of the Main Event arena.

Utg Alex Cruz open jammed his 595,000 stack in with 9♦ 9♠ and saw button Wang Tuck Heng call off for a lesser 275,000 with K♠ A♣ . Flipping for his tournament life, Wang was spared from elimination after the board T♣ T♥ 5♣ K♦ 3♠ peeled one of his overcards.

An all-in preflop situation saw Martin B call off with A♣ Q♠ up against Joshua Figuerres’ A♦ K♦ . In rough shape, B flopped top pair on T♥ 4♦ Q♥ J♣ 5♦ but was left drawing slim after the turn locked in the nut straight for Figuerres.

Hijack Rey Bagyo opened to 50,000, called by small blind Chris Boys. Action on flop K♣ J♥ 5♦ was checked through, leading to turn 7♥ . Bagyo this time, bet 80,000, check called by Boys. River came 9♥ which saw Boys move all-in and Bagyo folds.

Small blind Florencio Campomanes jammed his remaining 137,000 in with K♥ J♦ vs button Joshua Figuerres’ open and was called by the latter with A♠ 3♠ . Running a race, Campones flopped top pair to put him ahead but was doomed to bust after a runner runner Q♥ K♠ 4♦ 5♦ 2♣ rolled a wheel for Figuerres.

Jessie Leonarez defended his big blind vs utg+1 Kenrick Lim’s 35,000 open and saw flop A♠ 2♦ 9♣ . Lim continued for 40,000, check called by his opponent. On turn 4♥ , Lim fired a heftier 130,000 and shoved all-in for 410,000 after Leonarez pulled a check raise. Leonarez calls off with 2♠ 4♦ and is ahead of Lim’s A♥ 3♥ . The river 5♣ however, gave Lim a straight to steal the win away and cripple down the Day 2 chip leader to 4 BB.

A three way raised pot saw flop 2♥ 8♥ 4♣ . Action was checked to last to act Joel Diaz who fired a 40,000 bet. Big blind Chase Cokaliong check raised to 160,000 total and picked up the pot after both players made the fold.

Stacks continue to swing with another all-in preflop situation seeing Wang Tuck Heng at risk for his remaining 225,000. Wang tables J♥ J♣ and is up against raiser Edilberto Gopez’ 7♦ 7♥ . A dry board faced up on the felt and left Wang’s higher pocket pair good for the pot.

Hijack Jessie Leonarez opened and called cutoff Abel Pilayo’s 261,000 all-in with 9♣ 9♠ . Pilayo reveals A♠ J♥ for a flip and landed an ace high board 8♦ 5♠ A♥ 4♦ 8♣ to lock up the win.

Utg Chris Boys opened to 26,000, called behind by Edilberto Gopez. On flop 3♠ 4♦ Q♣ , Boys continued for 100,000 and proceeded with an all-in for 370,000 total on turn A♠ . Gopez called both streets with K♦ Q♦ , and was no good against Boys’ A♦ K♠ even after the river landed K♥ .

A three way three bet pot led by button Alvin Vestil headed to flop 3♥ 3♣ 5♣ . Original raiser Migs Espino open jammed 278,000 in and was called by Vestil with K♦ K♣ . Espino is behind with 9♠ 9♥ but was in luck after the turn rolled a 9♣ to give him a boat and eventually bag the win.

Mp Rey Bagyo opened the action and called off big blind Rusty Co’s short stack jam with 3♦ 3♣ . Co with K♠ Q♥ needed to spike his overcards which unfortunately didn’t come on board 4♣ 6♠ 8♠ J♥ J♣ to send him out.

Cutoff Eugene Dy open shoved 128,000 in with K♥ J♦ and ran right into big blind Rey Bagyo’s Q♣ Q♥ . In rough shape, Dy headed for the exit after the board 9♥ 8♥ 5♥ T♦ A♦ missed to save him from elimination.

Following an utg open and a call, cutoff Martin B slammed his 75,000 stack in and was called by both players in front. On flop J♠ 2♥ Q♦ , original raiser AA Tan bet 80,000, called by Alvin Vestil behind. Turn T♦ saw both stacks pile in the middle for a three way showdown.

Philip Reyes defended his big blind vs June Barte’s button open and saw flop 7♦ 9♦ 6♥ . Reyes led out a 15,000 bet and called off Barte’s all-in with A♦ 9♣ . Barte is behind with K♦ 9♥ and failed to catch up on either turn 8♣ or river 3♦ for his elimination.
