APT Main Event (55,000 TWD)

So far there have been 517 registered entries for Flight A of the APT Taipei 2025 Main Event. 281 still have seats at the tables. The average stack is pegged at 73,600.

Some of the recent busts include Chun Yuan Chen, Ka Chuen Yip, Uhsang Anh, Jun Li, Chunlung Wong, Hao-Shan Huang, Yan Wen Yee, Fabian Rolli, Tsugunari Toma, Rui Lu, Toan Chan Truong, Jeong Yeol Yu and Ferdinand Lu.

The action was picked up when Benjamin Ebarle had shoved all in from the big blind.

A flop ran out 6♠ 3♥ T♥ with around 11,000 chips in the middle, and Chao Hauan Sun checked over from the small blind. Xing Jie Chew also knuckled it back from middle position.

The dealer delivered a board-pairing 3♦ on the turn, where Sun sent a bet of 4,000, forcing Chew to fold.

Ebarle held the lead by pairing a six with the board facing off against Sun’s Big Slick.

Unfortunately for Ebarle, the bad news came in next card as the river showed the K♦ , improving Sun to a superior pair and sending Ebarle out of the tournament.

Button Vladimir Smotrov and big blind Hauan Chao Sun built a pot of over 55,000 on a board of 5♥ 4♥ 7♠ 8♥

Both players were then treated to an A♠ on the river. Sun checked his option over to Smotrov who wanted to move all-in but didn't use one forward motion and the floor decided that only his initial move of 30,000 would be counted.

Sun tanked for a bit and threw in a chip to declare the call.

Smotrov showed 9♥ 9♠ fora. pair of nines while Sun showed K♥ K♣ for a pair of kings, winning the pot and leaving Smotrov dented.

It could've been worse, Smotrov could've gone out in that hand if it weren't for the ruling. Nevertheless, it didn't matter since Smotrov busted out a few minutes after. But before that...

There was a pot of 12,000 with a board that showed 2♥ J♠ 5♥ 5♣ 4♣

Four players were still competing in the hand - small blind Chao Hauan Sun, big blind Tran Toan, UTG Come Duret and Button Dunh Giang Truong.

Hauan tapped his option over to Toan who fired 6,500 to the pot. Duret made the call and both Sun and Hauan gave up their hand to the muck.

Toan flipped over 5♥ 7♦ to show trips while Duret mucked.
