After a lightning-fast start to Day 3 of the 2025 APPT Championship, which began with 30 players returning from a 384-entry field, the pace shifted dramatically once the final nine was set. From there, it took a grueling 132 hands before the field was finally trimmed to the official PokerStars final table of six.

Taking place at the newly renovated Coral Lounge inside Okada Manila, Philippines, the final table lineup was officially formed following the elimination of Ronald Haverkamp in 7th place, courtesy of Korea’s Minwoong Jeong.

Jeong proved the driving force as Day 3 drew to a close, dictating the action once the blinds climbed. He first sent Daniel Lei out in 9th place, then took a big bite out of Van Sang Nguyen’s stack before landing the final knockout of the day.

Jeong bagged up nearly half of the total chips in play, towering over the rest of the returning finalists to firmly position himself as the player to beat heading into the final day. To emphasize the enormity of his stack, in big blinds Jeong amassed a jaw-dropping 121 big blinds, while his closest rival, India's Aditya Agarwal bagged 42 big blinds. Nguyen also made it through, though with just 14 bigs after the loss to Jeong.

Other survivors were Brit player Craig Jones with 25 big blinds, Malaysia's Eng Loong Choi, back from his 5th place finish at the PokerStars Red Dragon earlier in the week, and Thailand’s Waris Soontorn who closed with 13 big blinds.

Minwoong Jeong has been railroading the table and Ronald Haverkamp hoped to put a halt to it when he got dealt A♣ K♥ and faced a raise from the leader. Haverkamp shoved and in a snap, Jeong called with Q♥ Q♣ . No help came on a board 5♣ 8♠ 2♦ 5♥ 9♥ for Haverkamp to finish in 7th place.

Despite missing the mark, Haverkamp won his ticket to this event for the ₱1,853,000 (~$31,600) payout to be a full on profit.

Hand #129: Massive chip leader Minwoong Jeong just got bigger. Kicking off the hand with a raise to 175,000, he proceeded to call Van Sang Nguyen's 450,000 three-bet. After the flop felted 2♥ 8♦ 9♣ , Nguyen banged out 255,000 and Jeong called again. The turn 6♠ brought more chips to the table with a bet of 1,000,000 from Nguyen still not scaring away the leader. Both slowed and checked the river 6♣ . Jeong flipped over 7♣ 7♠ and Nguyen mucked.

Hand #130: Minwoong Jeong gets a walk.

Hand #131: Minwoong Jeong limps in then checks down the board 9♣ 4♣ 6♦ K♣ K♥ with big blind Eng Loong Choi. Choi has A♠ 2♦ to rake it in.

Hand #114: Small blind Aditya Agarwal limps, big blind Waris Soontorn checks, they proceed to check down the board K♠ 8♦ 3♣ Q♣ K♣ . Agarwal wins the hand with Q♦ 5♦ .

Hand #115: Minwoong Jeong raises 175,000 on Craig Jones's big blind and the Englishman defends. No bets land throughout the board Q♠ jd 8♠ 4♦ T♣ . Jones has paired and Jeong mucks.

Hand #116: Three players are in for 160,000 each, initiated by Van Sang Nguyen. The team trims to heads-up after Nguyen c-bets with only Minwoong Jeong continuing to the turn A♣ . Both players check it to the river J♦ where Jeong jumps out with a bet of 300,000, Nguyen says "pay to see" and makes the call. Jeong has the goods with K♥ 9♦ flopped two pair. Nguyen mucks and shows A♦ .

Hand #117: No callers to Van Sang Nguyen's raise to win the blinds and ante.

Hand #118: No callers to Minwoong Jeong's raise to win the blinds and ante.

Hand #119: No callers to Eng Loong Choi's raise to win the blinds and ante.

Hand #120: Minwoong Jeong raises again for 175,000 and this time Van Sang Nguyen challenges with a three-bet to win the pot before the count.

Hand #121: After four hands without a flop, small blind Aditya Agarwal limps and big blind Waris Soontorn checks. Once the dealer spreads A♥ 9♥ 8♠ , Agarwal takes a chance for 110,000 and he wins the pot with Soontorn not interested.

Hand #122: No board again as Waris Soontorn shoves and everyone folds.

Hand #123: Minwoong Jeong steals the blinds and ante.

Hand #124: Van Sang Nguyen opens then wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #125: Small blind Eng Loong Choi limps in and Ronald Haverkamp checks to play the flop 2♦ Q♥ 5♠ . They both check for a free turn card 6♥ . Haverkamp slides out a bet that Choi quickly passes up.

Hand #126: Small blind Ronald Haverkamp limps, big blind Van Sang Nguyen raise 240,000, Haverkamp shoves and takes the pot uncontested .

Hand #127: After getting a shove through, Ronald Haverkamp raises on the button and big blind Aditya Agarwal denies him the steal. At the flop 2♥ K♥ K♣ , Haverkamp attempts again for 80,000 only to get check-raised to 200,000. Haverkamp folds.

Hand #128: Ronald Haverkamp gets involved again with a raise of 160,000 and big blind Waris Soontorn defends. Haverkamp continues for 125,000 at the flop A♠ 8♥ 9♠ , fast-fold follows from Soontorn.

Small blind Eng Loong Choi is dealt K♣ T♣ and raises to 160,000, big blind Ronald Haverkamp has 5♥ 5♣ and jams around 850,000. Choi snap-calls and Haverkamp is flipping for his tournament life.

The board quickly grants Haverkamp a full house 7♥ 7♣ 5♦ , and with the turn 3♥, Choi is drawing dead to give up a third of his stack.

Hand #108: Small blind Eng Loong Choi raises and still doesn't scare away big blind Craig Jones. The battle continues at the flop 2♥ 3♥ Q♦ with Choi c-betting 110,000, Jones answers with a raise to 355,000 and takes it down.

Hand #109: Van Sang Nguyen raises and finds no callers to take the blinds and ante.

Hand #110: Action folds to the small blind Minwoong Jeong, he raises big to 340,000 and steals Eng Loong Choi's big blind.

Hand #111: Facing a raise from Van Sang Nguyen of 160,000, Eng Loong Choi three-bets 600,000 and takes down the pot uncontested.

Hand #112: Aditya Agarwal raises 160,000 from under the gun and big blind Van Sang Nguyen defends to bring a flop of 5♠ 2♥ 4♣ to the felt. Both check to the turn T♣ where Agarwal bets 105,000 and is called again by Nguyen. The river then comes 7♣ and it is back to checking for both. Nguyen rakes it in with a small pair.

Hand #102: Eng Loong Choi raises from utg and gets called by button Waris Soontorn and big blind Minwoong Jeong. Choi continues for 210,000 at a flop 6♦ J♥ T♥ and only Jeong takes interest. Another barrel from Choi on the turn 8♣ for 450,000 and again Jeong stays in. When the 5♣ finds the river, Choi uses his last time-bank before barreling a third time for 430,000. This time, Jeong folds.

Hand #103: Van Sang Nguyen raise finds no callers to collect the blinds and ante.

Hand #104: Waris Soontorn makes it 125,000, Minwoong Jeong calls, then small blind Eng Loong Choi squeezes 500,000. Both players fold.

Hand #105: Aditya Agarwal bumps it up to 120,000, Waris Soontorn three-bets 325,000, Agarwal responds with a four-bet to 675,000. Soontorn folds his big bet.

Hand #106: Eng Loong Choi raises and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #107: Craig Jones opens then folds to Aditya Agarwal's 420,000 three-bet,

Hand #96: In a surprising move, Minwoong Jeong limps in and Eng Loong Choi checks. Jeong stays cool on a flop 7♠ T♠ 4♣ just calling Choi's 90,000 bet leading to both players checking the turn 6♥ . When the A♥ finds the river, Jeong dips in and bets 100,000, Choi pays to see then mucks to 9♠ 7♦ .

Jeong now over 5M in chips.

Hand #97: Minwoong Joeng continues with another pot claimed. He raised preflop then bet the flop 6♦ K♠ T♥ earning a fast-fold from big blind Ronald Haverkamp.

Hand #98: Craig Jones raises 120,000 and Van Sang Nguyen defends the big blind. Following a flop of 4♦ T♣ 9♦ , Nguyen check-raises 225,000, not wanting to waste his bet, Jones three-bets to 700,000. Nguyen lets it go.

Hand #99: Small blind Van Sang Nguyen limps and gets to see the flop after Aditya Agarwal checks. The cards land 5♠ T♠ 2♣ . Nguyen bets 80,000 and another 175,000 on the turn 8♦ . Agarwal calls both then folds to the 200,000 bet on the river A♥ .

Hand #100: Van Sang Nguyen raises 120,000 and two players toss in the call. Action is checked to him on a flop J♥ 3♠ 8♣ , he continues for 105,000 that gets met with one fold and a check-raise to 350,000 from Waris Soontorn. Nguyen calls.

On the turn T♦ , check again from Soontorn, Nguyen bangs out 550,000 and this time he takes it without any further work.

Hand #101: Minwoong Jeong steals the blinds and ante.

Hand #90: Aditya Agarwal initiates for 120,000 and Eng Loong Choi defends the small blind. The dealer fans Q♥ 7♦ 3♠ and Agarwal continues for 100,000. Choi tank-folds.

Hand #91: Another pot for Aditya Agarwal albeit a much larger one. Raising preflop and called by Van Sang Nguyen, he c-bet 130,000 on a flop jd 6♦ 9♣ and got called again. After they both checked the turn 7♠ , Nguyen took a chance on the river 5♣ for 150,000 then folded tho Agarwal's 500,000 raise.

Hand #92: Van Sang Nguyen recovered some of the lost chips when he three-bet to 360,000 and Ronald Haverkamp giving up his bet.

Hand #93-94: No callers on Craig Jones's raise to win the blinds and ante. Next hand, he walked.

Hand #95: Minwoong Jeong defended on the big blind then check-called Van Sang Nguyen's 80,000 c-bet on a flop 5♥ K♥ 8♦ . When the turn landed 3♦ , Nguyen fired again for a larger 210,000 then got popped to 600,000. Nguyen folded.

Hand #80: With one big bind, button Waris Soontorn raised 300,000 and won it only after Craig Jones spent a time-bank before he gave it up.

Hand #81: Van Sang Nguyen opened 120,000 then checked the all-diamond board of 3♦ J♦ T♦ with Aditya Agarwal doing the same. The turn came J♥ and Nguyen checked again but this time Agarwal bet 155,000 and won the pot uncontested.

Hand #82: Action folded around to the small blind Minwoong Jeong and raised it up to 200,000. Big blind Eng Loong Choi denied him the steal with a three-bet to 475,000. Jeong called and a monotone board landed 6♠ 3♠ 7♠ . Choi c-bet 300,000 and it was enough to take down the pot.

Hand #83: Minwoong Jeong raised 120,000 and got no callers.

Hand #84: Aditya Agarwal raised from utg and only Minwoong Jeong took him on for a flop of 2♠ K♦ 8♣ . After both checked, Agarwal tested on the turn 2♣ for 180,000 and claimed the pot.

Hand #85: No callers to Craig Jones's raise to win the blinds and ante.

Hand #86: Minwoong Jeong raises then goes head to head with caller Eng Loong Choi on a flop 5♠ 2♠ 8♥ . Choi checks, Jeong bets 200,000, Choi folds.

Hand #87: Waris Soontorn opened 400,000 and no one dared.

Hand #88: Van Sang Nguyen raised and got no callers.

Hand #89: Ronald Haverkamp raises and steals the blinds and ante.

Hand #79: Minwong Jeong raised to 100,000, Van Sang Nguyen called, then big blind Cao Ngoc Anh tanked and decided to just call. When the flop ran 4♣ 5♣ 2♣ , Cao went all in which got a fold from Jeong and a snap-call from Nguyen who flipped open K♣ Q♣ flush. Cao still had one out to his 6♣ 7♦ but the turn A♣ and river 4♦ weren't it to fall in 8th place.

Hand #75: Cao Ngoc Anh's stack is dwindling and lost more in this hand. He opened 100,000 and Ronald Haverkamp defended his big blind. Both checked the flop A♦ 6♣ K♣ , then Cao hoped to steal on the turn with a bet of 175,000 but Haverkamp matched up, then they both checked the river T♦ . Haverkamp said "ace" and showed a winning A♣ 2♥ .

Hand #76: Van Sang Nguyen walks.

Hand #77-78: Eng Loong Choi with back-to-back raises that gets no callers to win the blinds and ante.

Daniel Lei won the blinds and ante on Hand #72, then doubled up at Hand #73 that started with him limping at small blind then calling for his tournament life when big blind Minwoong Jeong jammed. Lei was ahead K♦ Q♦ against K♣ 9♥ . The board ensured his win as it landed Q♠ 6♦ 2♦ 5♥ J♥ .

Immediately after, at Hand#74, Lei opened 100,000 on the button then Jeong three-bet 500,000. Lei moved all in and Jeong snap-called showing K♣ K♦ . Lei was far behind with 9♦ 9♠. The board offered no assistance running 2♣ Q♦ A♣ A♠ 4♦ for the first bust of the final table.

Hand #60: Minwoong Jeong three-bet to 275,000 and Cao Ngoc Anh defended his initial raise however when Jeong c-bet 225,000 on a board J♥ K♠ 7♣ , he quickly folded.

Hand #61: Aditya Agarwal min-raises then calls Waris Soontorn's 260,000 three-bet. When the flop comes T♥ 9♠ 7♦ , Soontorn drills a c-bet of 75,000 and it's good enough to ship it.

Hand #62: Daniel Lei shoves 525,000 and gets no action.

Hand #63: Small blind Craig Jones calls a 100,000 raise to go flop-hunting with Minwoong Jeong. The cards land Q♦ 5♥ 2♠ . Jeong continued for 125,000 only to be check-raised by Jones to 315,000. Jeong folded.

Hand #64: Raised pot preflop by Van Sang Nguyen sees a flop come Q♣ 7♥ T♥ . Big blind Minwoong Jeong checks then folds to a 75,000 c-bet.

Hand #65: Cao Ngoc Anh raises 100,000 and Van Sang Nguyen calls. More chips fall on a flop K♣ 7♠ 8♠ with Nguyen c-betting 85,000 that's called by Cao. This is then followed by checks on the turn 6♥ and river A♥ . Nguyen takes it down with A♣ 2♣ top pair.

Hand #66: Button Minwoong Jeong opens and Eng Loong Choi calls at small blind. When the board runs, Jeong continues for another 100,000 and claims the pot.

Hand #69: Ronald Haverkamp wins the blinds and ante after an uncalled raise.

Hand #70: Cao Ngoc Anh raises and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #49: Aditya Agarwal opens and it is three-way to the flop with Minwoong Jeong and Van Sang both calling. After the board comes J♠ J♥ 4♥ , Jeong bets 175,000 and wins the pot.

Hand #50: Waris Soontorn takes down the pot after no one calls his raise.

Hand #51: Minwoong Jeong wins another pot with an uncalled raise.

Hand #52: Eng Loong Choi has a game in his hands with Cao Ngoc Anh defending the big blind. After they both check the flop, Cao leads 100,000 on a turn board 9♦ 5♣ 6♠ 4♥ and Choi calls. Both players return to checking on the river 4♦ . Cao shows K♦ Q♣ , Choi wins the pot with A♣ 7♥ .

Hand #53: Aditya Agarwal opens then wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #54: Under the gun Minwoong Jeong makes it 100,000 to go, Eng Looong Choi is in, then Ronald Haverkamp drives it up to 325,000. No one dares and Haverkamp wins the pot.

Hand #55-56: Waris Soontorn raised back to back deals and got no one to tango.

Hand #57: Minwoong Jeong opened and big blind Ronald Haverkamp defended. The board was checked to the river 4♥ 9♣ T♣ K♣ 9♠ . Jeong slid out 75,000 and the pot was his.

Hand #58-59: Aditya Agarwal claimed back-to-back pots with the first one on an uncalled raise at utg then a walk on the big blind.

Hand #35: Limped pot is checked to the turn board 4♦ 9♠ 9♣ 6♥ where small blind Cao Ngoc Anh bets 55,000 and wins the pot after Ronald Haverkamp folds.

Hand #36: No callers to Aditya Agarwal's min-raise to drag in the small pot.

Hand #37: Limped pot again brings a board J♥ T♣ K♥ . Big blind Eng Loong Choi bets 85,000 and small blind Minwoong Jeong check-calls. On the turn 8♠ , check again from Jeong, Choi fires a large 450,000 bet, Jeong answers with a shove which earns him a hefty pot with Choi snap-folding.

Hand #40: Waris Soontorn opens then gives it up after a three-bet from Minwoong Jeong.

Hand #42: Waris Soontorn defends the big blind then bets 100,000 on the turn 3♥ 9♠ 3♣ Q♠ . Preflop aggressor Cao Ngoc Anh let's go of his hand.

Hand #43: Ronald Haverkamp raises 80,000 then follows it up with a bet of 75,000 on a flop 8♠ J♦ 7♣ . Big blind defender Cao Ngoc Anh doesn't continue.

Hand #44: Ronald Haverkamp raises 80,000 and c-bets 60,000 on a flop 5♠ K♥ 2♥ to deny big blind Craig Jones the pot.

Hand #45: No one wants to go up against Aditya Agarwal who raises again and finds no takers.

Hand #46: Minwoong Jeong defends his big blind to go down the street with utg raiser Eng Loong Choi. They both check a heart board J♥ 8♥ 3♥ then Jeong leads out 100,000 on the turn K♠ . Choi calls and the 3♠ comes on the river. Jeong returns to checking, Choi want to make it cost to see his hand and fires 320,000. Jeong spends a time-bank then folds.

Hand #47: Eng Loong Choi gets a walk.

Hand #48: Last hand of the level, is raised by Cao Ngoc Anh and wins the pot easy.

Hand #34: Eng Loong Choi kicked off the hand for 80,000 then folds to the heavy action that followed. Cutoff Van Sang Nguyen re-raised 260,000 then Waris Soontorn four-bet 500,000. After Choi folded, Nguyen shoved his massive stack and Soontorn snap-called while slapping down K♠ K♦ . Nguyen had A♠ K♣ .

The board ran low 3♥ 2♦ 2♠ 7♥ 6♥ for the first double up of the final table and new chip leader.

Hand #31: Daniel Lei raises 80,000 then tanks to Ronald Haverkamp's shove for 770,000. He then decides to hold on to his 950,000 stack.

Hand #32: After shoving on the previous hand, Ronal Haverkamp calls Craig Jones 80,000 while on the button and they check it to the turn 2♠ 8♠ Q♥ 8♥ . Check again from Jones prompts a bet of 100,000 from Haverkamp, and Jones calls. When the river comes Q♠ , it's back to checking. Choi shows A♣ K♥ , Haverkamp wins it with 9♦ 9♠ .

Hand #33: Craig Jones loses another pot, raising pre then folding to Van Sang Nguyen's 55,000 bet on a flop J♠ J♥ 4♣ .

Hand #23: Ronald Haverkamp calls Minwoong Jeong's min-raise then bets 50,000 on a flop 2♠ 2♥ J♣ after Jeon checks. Jeong calls then can't continue after Haverkamp c-bets 125,000 on the turn 9♣ .

Hand #24: Daniel Lei opens and big blind Waris Soontorn gives him action. Both players check to the turn 6♣ 3♣ 2♦ J♠ where Lei sends a delayed c-bet of 70,000 and wins the pot uncontested.

Hand #25: Eng Loong Choi raises 80,000 and big blind Cao Ngoc Anh defends. The proceed to check it all the way T♦ 9♠ T♣ 8♣ A♦ . Choi's K♦ Q♣ wins it over Cao''s Q♦ 4♦ .

Hand #26: Cao Ngoc Anh limps then folds to big blind Craig Jones's 135,000 raise.

Hand #27: No callers to Daniel Lei's raise to win the blinds and ante.

Hand #28: Cao Ngoc Anh three-bets 250,000 and Waris Soontorn gives up his initial raise.

Hand #29: Waris Soontorn opens and wins the blinds an ante.

Hand #30: Minwoong Jeong three-bet 200,000 from the small blind and it's enough to steal the blinds and Daniel Lei's open-raise.

Hand #18: First hand of the new level, Van Sang Nguyen raises pre then c-bets the flop K♠ K♦ 6♠ for 55,000. Big blind defender Daniel Lei folds.

Hand #19: Van Sang Nuyen raises again and wins the blinds and ante.

Hand #20: Craig Jones opens then folds to Minwoong Jeong's 320,000 repop.

Hand #21: Aditya Agarawal min-raises and two players call - Waris Soontorn and button Miwong Jeong. They all check down the board K♠ T♠ 4♣ 4♥ K♣ . Soontorn and Agarwal chip it up with an ace on hand.

Hand #22: Minwoong Jeong raises from cutoff and finds one customer in button Eng Loong Choi. On the flop and turn J♠ Q♣ 2♥ 5♠ , Jeong fires 50,000 and 175,000, Choi calls both, then they check the river K♦ . Jeong has A♠ 5♠ pair, Choi takes it down with 9♦ 9♠ .

Hand #15: Van Sang Nguyen min-raises only to fold to big blind Waris Soontorn's 150,000 three-bet.

Hand #16: Ronald Haverkamp min-raises then calls Van Sang Nguyen's 200,000 three-bet. The pot continues to grow with Nguyen c-betting 125,000 on a flop 3♥ 3♦ 4♠ . Haverkamp check-calls then they both check the turn J♦ . When the board completes T♣ on the river, Haverkamp checks again but not this time for Nguyen who slides out a huge 700,000 bet, Haverkamp calls then mucks to K♥ J♥.

Hand #17: Eng Loong Choi's 60,000 raise gets re-raised to 150,000 by Waris Soontorn on the button. Choi calls and the flop comes 5♠ 2♦ 4♣ . Soontorn continues for 50,000 and Choi calls to keep him in check. They both tap the turn 9♠ then Choi jumps out for 400,000 on the river T♥ . Soontorn lets it go.

Hand #14: Cao Ngoc Anh opens 60,000 from under the gun only to be challenged with a re-raise to 170,000 by +1 Craig Jones. Cao fires back a four-bet to 500,000 and it's enough to win the pot.

Hand #7: From middle position, Eng Loong Choi opens 60,000 then folds to Ronald Haverkamp's 170,000 three-bet.

Hand #8: Eng Loong Choi opens 60,000 then c-bets 75,000 on a flop Q♠ J♥ 9♦ , lone caller preflop Van Sang Nguyen folds this time.

Hand #9: Everyone folds to the small blind Eng Loong Choi, he raises 60,000 and Ronald Haverkamp defends to get the flop rolling T♦ 7♠ Q♣ . Choi continues for 45,000 and again it's called. The turn brings K♦ and once more Choi resumed command with a bet of 250,000, and Haverkamp opted to fold.

Hand #10: Aditya Agarwal got in the action with a raise of 60,000 but it was short-lived as he folded to Eng Loong Choi's 180,000 three-bet.

Hand #11: Battle of the blinds opened with a limp from Minwoong Jeong and Eng Loong Choi checked. Jeong checked the flop 6♦ Q♣ 9♦ then called a 75,000 bet to take them to the turn 6♣ .Choi fired again for 160,000 and still Jeong stuck around to see the river T♠ . Jeong announced a bet and before it went in, Choi tossed his hand in the muck.

Hand #12: Minwoong Jeong wins the next pot with an uncalled raise.

Hand #13: Waris Soontorn opens 60,000 and big blind Van Sang Nguyen wants to make his forced bet count and calls. When the flop comes 4♠ Q♥ 4♣ , Nguyen quickly folds to a c-bet.

Hand #1: Ronald Haverkamp opens 60,000 and gets two players to join him to the flop 3♦ T♦ 6♥ . Two checks to Cao Ngoc Anh who tests for 85,000, Minwoong Jeong check-calls, then Haverkamp check-raises to 300,000. This was enough to win the pot.

Hand #2: Eng Loong Choi gets a walk.

Hand #3: Players fold to the small blind Eng Loong Choi who limps in and gets to see the flop easy with Ronald Haverkamp checking on the big blind. When the flop comes 2♥ T♣ A♠ , Choi bets 35,000 and wins the pot uncontested.

Hand #4: Minwoong Jeong opens 60,000 from cutoff and only small blind Ronald Haverkamp gives him action. They proceed to check the flop 8♦ 5♠ 6♣ then Jeong bets 80,000 on the turn 6♥ . Haverkamp check-calls then the K♠ river is passed up by both. Haverkamp shows A♦ J♥ and it's good to claim the pot.

Hand #5: Daniel Lei opens and finds no callers to win the blinds and ante.

Hand #6: Action folds to the button Van Sang Nguyen, he min-clicks and big blind Waris Soontorn defends. Nguyen bets 45,000 on the flop 3♠ 7♥ 2♣ and wins the pot.

No second APPT title for Alex Puchalski having been dealt his last hand here at the APPT Championship. Peeking at A♥ 7♠, he took a stand with a three-bet jam for 470,000. Cao Ngoc Anh defended and flipped over a better kicker A♣ T♠ . Puchalski's hopes all rested on the board but it refused to cooperate, instead improving Cao to a pair showing K♠ 5♥ 6♠ T♣ 9♣ to miss the final table by one spot.

What a cooler! Craig Jones was dealt T♣ T♦ and raised from cutoff. Big blind Hoa Thinh Nguyen defended with A♥ 8♣ . The dealer fanned a flop of T♥ 8♥ 2♣ to improve both players and more chips went in with Nguyen check-calling a 65,000 c-bet.

An 8♦ then came on the turn giving Nguyen trips and this time he led out 150,000. Jones with the boat set his trap and flatted for the river to appear 9♦ .

Nguyen fired again, sending out a much larger 425,000, Jones answered with a shove, Nguyen called for his tournament life and saw the bad news.

Battle of raises between Eng Loong Choi and Cao Ngoc Anh was opened by Cao from under the gun. Action folded to the button Choi who three-bet 150,000. Cao punched back with a four-bet to 390,000, and Choi stepped on the brakes and called.

This brought about a flop of K♥ J♠ T♠ where Cao bet 65,000, Choi punched back 180,000, Cao tanked then gave up his stake in the pot.

At the feature table, the flop was already laid out K♥ 5♠ 7♣ with Cao Ngoc Anh all in and at risk with J♦ J♥ against the big stacked Aditya Agarwal with 6♥ 6♣ . The turn 4♥ and river 5♦ completed the board for a safe landing to the Vietnamese pro.

Michael Uguccioni came out firing in two hands only to fall in 12th place. Both hands were up against Waris Soontorn who folded to the shove on a flop 8♥ 2♥ T♣ . Uguccioni shoved J♠ 8♠ .

Two hands later, they met again with Uguccioni three-bet shoving on the small blind after Daniel Lei's min-raise. Next to act, Soontorn snapped all-in prompting a snap-fold from Lei.

Uguccioni knew he was far behind before even showing his Q♦ 9♦ hole cards. Indeed he was with Soontorn flipping over A♠ K♣ . Though not needed, the board was to the Thai's favor 4♦ 7♦ A♥ 4♥ 7♥ .

At the feature table, David Sommer was eliminated in 13th place however we missed the hand.

Artem Utevskii moved all in with A♦ J♦ and was flipping against Craig Jones’ 8♥ 8♦ . A jack appeared in the window, but celebration was short-lived as an eight followed right after on the 8♠ J♣ 2♦ flop. The J♥ on the turn reignited Utevskii’s hopes of a full house, but the river 7♥ denied them for good.

David Wang woke up with A♠ A♥ and was looking good for a double up against caller Van Sang Nguyen with T♣ Tc . That is until the board denied him running 7♥ 8♠ 8♦ 6♣ K♠ to send him straight to the payout desk.

All the chips were in on a flop Q♠ 3♦ K♥ with Michael Uguccioni betting 100,000, leaving a 25,000 chip behind. Alex Puchalski pushed and Uguccioni tossed it in.

Uguccioni was ahead with K♥ Q♥ top two, Puchalski needed to connect with A♥ 6♦ . With the turn A♠ , Puchalski improved but still behind and Uguccioni was sweating it. The river felted K♠ to keep Uguccioni's lead intact.

David Sommer was behind at the shove with A♥ T♥ called by Aditya Agarwal with A♣ Q♠. With his tournament life on the line, the poker gods decided to keep him going, sending out a board T♦ 5♣ 8♣ 3♥ 7♦ .

Catching the action on a board showing 5♥ 7♥ 8♥ 2♦ with around 350,000 in the pot already, Aditya Agarwal pumped in more with a bet of 275,000. Van Sang Nguyen called to take them to fifth street where both checked 5♣ . Nguyen showed Q♣ Q♥ and Agarwal mucked.

Daniel Lei looked down at connectors 9♦ 8♦ and felt it. He was all-in for 365,000 and needing to get past Michael Uguccioni's A♥ J♠ . No help came to the turn 7♣ 3♠ K♥ Q♥ and Lei stood up then 9♣ found the river to bring a big smile to his face.

Van Sang Nguyen made it 50,000 to go and David Sommer joined him however when it reached hijack Cao Ngoc Anh, he ruined the fun, squeezing 285,000. Two spots over, Eng Loong Choi also wanted the pot and counted out his stack amounting to 790,000 then shoved. Everyone folded.

Cao Ngoc Anh min-clicked then several spots over at cutoff Minwoong Jeong three-bet 135,000. At small blind, Aditya Agarwal also liked his hand and four-bet to 400,000. This was more than enough to induce a fold from Cao while Jeong flatted to tame the action.

The heavy bets continued at the J♥ 5♠ Q♣ flop starting with a c-bet from Agarwal for 225,000, again Jeong flatted. Action switched on the turn 5♦ with Agarwal slowing down while Jeong took control and fired 400,000. Agarwal folded.

Jesse Rivera is sitting with a very short stack and risked it all on a flop 6♠ T♠ Q♣ . Daniel Lei called and was drawing with K♠ J♣ . Rivera was ahead with J♥ T♥ . The turn and river were good to Rivera running 7♦ and 2♦ to double through.

One orbit later, Rivera was still in danger with just 8 bigs left. He called Craig Jones's shove on a board of Q-J-4-4-9 with Ace-Jack and fell to Ace-Queen top pair.

The last two Germans in the field clashed in two hands leading to Finn Penderak losing all of his chips to David Sommer. Their first clash saw Sommer open from cutoff and Penderak defended. At the flop 6♣ 6♦ 8♥ , Sommer continued for 30,000 then called a 110,000 check-raise. Enter the turn card Q♠ , Penderak leads out 90,000 only to fold to a shove.

Several deals after, Penderak was down to just 6 big blinds and opened then this time called off the rest on another jam from Sommer. He was behind A♦ 9♠ to Sommer's A♠ J♠ . No help arrived for to Penderak to finish in 17th place for ₱668,000 (~$11,390).

We are down to the final two tables with 16 players remaining.

Thi Hue Dang three-bet all in for just under 400,000 and after a pause, Waris Soontorn defended his initial raise and turned over A♣ Q♣ . Hue Dang was made with T♣ T♠ but needed to avoid the big cards. She successfully did so however she couldn't dodge the clubs as the flop ran 7♣ J♣ 6♣ for the stone cold nuts. She was drawing dead. The turn 4♠ and river 8♣ completed the board.

After Javier Bris was chunked down by Hoa Thing Nguyen to 7 bigs, he proceeded to lose it all on a flip with A♥ K♣ unable to improve against Van Sang Nguyen's Q♠ Q♥ . He finished in 20th place for ₱581,000 (~$9,905).

We are down to 19 players.

William Teoh has been dominating the action at his table but that's all in the past having crashed out in a hand against Aditya Agarwal. Before that moment, Teoh was visibly upset over a situation regarding his buddies behind the ropes and a ruling using phones.

Jumping back on to play his hand, Teoh opened 40,000 from cutoff with A♥ 6♥ got repopped to 130,000 by button Alex Puchalski, then small blind Aditya Agarwal with A♠ K♠ squeezed for 370,000. Teoh wanted to play and topped up while Puchalski got out of the way.

On a flop A♣ 3♦ 7♠ , both players paired up. Agarwal barreled 225,000 and Teoh called. The turn was a meaningless 2♥ however heavier action erupted with Agarwal betting 475,000 and Teoh jamming for around 700,000 more. Agarwal called with a covering stack.

Teoh was in very bad shape. The river 4♦ was not the card Teoh needed to lose his massive stack and finish in 21st place. ₱505,000 (~$8,610).

Action folded around to the button Javier Bris, he laid out a min-raise and it was a three-way down the street with both blinds calling. On a K♣ T♠ 4♥ flop, checked again to Bris who continued for 40,000 and this time only Hoa Thinh Nguyen kept the game going to the turn 9♦ where another 100,000 was check-called by Nguyen.

When the river felted 7♣ , it drew one last check from Nguyen while Bris jammed with a covering stack. Nguyen quietly slid out his remaining 340,000 and flipped open K♠ T♦ top two. Bris showed K♦ 4♣ also two pair at the flop .

Joshua Chargualaf suffered a hard hit to his stack with J♦ J♥ running into Craig Jones's A♦ A♣ . Plunging to just 3 big blinds, he managed to double up with "just king" as he says on a board K♥ 3♣ K♣ K♦ J♠ . However, he was still in danger with 6 bb and lost it shortly after to finish in 22nd place for ₱505,000 (~$8,610).

Catching the action on a board 4♦ 3♥ J♣ 54c with around 200,000 in the pot, Eng Loong Choi slide out a hefty 140,000 from utg and chip leader Van Sang Nguyen called from button position. With 5♠ completing the board, Choi fired 250,000 and this time no challenge from Nguyen.

There will be no title for Japan this year with Tomoya Kakihara and Shinryo Nonin having just been zeroed out. We missed the action on Kakihara's fall in 23rd place however we did catch Nonin's bust to William Teoh. Nonin battled with 6♣ 7♣ and did not get past Teoh's K♣ K♥ . Teoh is on fire, claiming his second bust of the day.

After an orbit with no improvement, Jesse Rivera was down 10 bigs and put it all on the line with J♠ 8♠ . Luck found him with a jack finding the board to double up through Cao Ngoc Anh's A♦ 9♦ .

Seiji Kikuoka was next to go with all of his chips claimed by Rudy Edenata. It was a flip as they headed down the streets with Seiji holding 3♠ 3♦ and Edenata with overcards A♥ K♥ . The board was looking good for Seiji until the river 2♠ 5♠ 5♦ J♣ A♦ . Seiji finished in 26th place ₱439,000 (~$7,485)
