Gopez's queens step on Soyza's kings

In a raising war preflop, both Edilberto "Duroy" Gopez of the Philippines and Malaysia's Michael Soyza see all their chips go in the middle only to learn that the Filipino had the worst part of the exchange.

The flop goes: 5 2 K to give the Malaysian a near insurmountable lead. The last two community cards are the 3 and the T to give Soyza a double up at the most opportune time.

Level 14: 1,500 / 3,000 ante: 3,000
Kim Kiyoung

Ajay Abrol min-raised to 6,000 at the cut-off. Kim Kiyoung then three-bet to 17,500 when action came to him at the small blind. Big blind Edilberto Gopez made the call and Ajay Abrol also completed to build a juicy pot entering a flop of 8 J 9 . Kiyoung made a 15,000 c-bet and was called by both players to see a 9 on the turn. Kiyoung pushed another 40,000.
