Michael Soyza continues to dominate heads up winning with uncalled raises. One hand sees a board complete 2♥ 5♣ 7♥ 6♣ T♣ , Soyza bets 200,000, Mike Takayama folds.

Michael Soyza calls 250,000 preflop, cards land K♣ T♦ 6♥ . Mike Takayama bets 325,000, Soyza check-calls for the turn A♦ . Again Soyza check-calls for 550,000. Both check the river T♣ . Takayama mucks to Soyza's A♠ 6♣ two pair.

Limped pot both players check to the turn 5♥ 6♠ 4♦ T♦ . Big blind Mike Takayama bets 140,000, button Michael Soyza calls. On the turn J♥ , Takayama fires 380,000, again Soyza calls. Takayama flips over T♠ 8♥ pair and wins the pot.

From the button, Mike Takayama limps, big blind Michael Soyza raises 300,000, Takayama re-raises making it 1,000,000 which is more than half of his stack, Soyza calls. Flop comes 3♦ T♥ 8♥ , Soyza checks to Takayama who shoves his remaining 850,000, Soyza folds.

After seven hours of play, heads up has arrived. Up for grabs is the APPT shard trophy and a hefty PHP 6,168,100 (~$105K) top prize.

The turn T♦ and river Q♣ are no help to Rivera to finish in 3rd place.

Michael Soyza continues to grind down his opponents. On a board of 5♠ Q♠ Q♥ 3♦ Q♣ , he bets 80,000 on the turn that's called by Mike Takayama then a larger 400,000 on the river Q♣ . Takayama uses a time extension then calls.

Michael Soyza continues to dominate the action claiming another pot. From the big blind he raises 210,000 and sb limper Marc Rivera calls. Flop comes 3♥ 6♥ 7♠ , Soyza bets 350,000, Rivera check-calls. The turn K♦ sees a larger 750,000 bet from Soyza, this time Rivera surrenders his hand.

All three players head to a flop 3♦ 7♥ 9♥ , button Michael Soyza bets 300,000 that's called by big blind Marc Rivera. On the turn 5♠ , Soyza slides out 750,000 which is enough to claim the pot.

Next pot is another big one. Rivera raises 120,000 from the button, small blind Soyza and big blind Mike Takayama call. They all check to the turn 6♠ 9♠ T♣ T♥ . Soyza leads out 300,000, Takayama calls, Rivera folds. On the river T♦ , Soyza bets 800,000, Takayama folds.

From button, Marc Rivera raises 120,000, big blind Michael Soyza raises 420,000, Rivera calls. The board is checked to the river 6♦ 7♠ 8♥ Q♣ K♥ , Soyza bets 500,000, Rivera calls.

Two hands after, Rivera raises 240,000 from small blind and Soyza defends the big blind. At the flop Q♣ 9♣ 5♦ , Rivera continues for 300,000 which is met with a snap-fold.

From button Gary Thompson min-raises and big blind Mike Takayama calls. On a flop K♥ 5♠ 4♣ , Thompson c-bets 75,000 and Takayama check-calls. The turn 6♠ and river K♣ sees no bets. Takayama shows A♥ 2♠ , Thompson ahs A♠ 9♠ for his kicker to play.

Small blind Marc Rivera limps then calls big blind Gary Thompson's 150,000 raise. When the board completes J♦ J♥ K♣ A♣ 5♥ , Rivera proceeds to check-call every street 80,000, 330,000, 800,000, both players tanking first on the river.

Thompson opens Q♣ J♣ trips , Rivera ships it with Q♠ T♥ straight.

Gary Thompson on a heater claiming four pots in succession. First one he defends the big blind from utg Michael Soyza's 100,000 raise. Both check the flop K♣ J♥ 8♦ . Thompson leads out 90,000 on the turn J♠ and wins the pot.

Now on the small blind, Thompson raises 150,000, this time Soyza defends the big blind. Flop runs A♣ T♦ 3♠ , Thompson continues for 100,000, Soyza snap-folds.

A larger pot next, Thompson raises 100,000 on the button and Takayama defends the big blind. Takayama check-calls 75,000 on a flop J♦ 3♦ 9♣ then check-calls 235,000 on the turn J♣ . Both check the river K♥ . Thompson flips over K♠ 7♦ top pair, Takayama shows his 9♦ 8♣ .

The fourth pot Thompson three-bets 280,00 from cutoff, Marc Rivera gives up his 100,000 raise.

Not much action at five handed with raises uncalled and even a walk for Marc Rivera. One of the bigger pots was Rivera raising from the button, Michael Soyza calling from the big blind then folding to the 100,000 bet on the flop A♥ 9♣ J♦ .

The river K♠ is further improves Soyza to ship a double up and more.

Hijack Alfie Poetra opens 80,000, Edgar Asehan calls from the small blind. Poetra c-bets 45,000 at the flop K♥ Q♣ 4♦ , Asehan check-calls for a turn 7♦ . Check from Asehan, Poetra contemplates then bets 215,000, Asehan tanks for a time-bank then folds.

Dwon to 7 bb, Vamerdino Magsakay grinds for chip and finds success in back to back shoves. The first he open shoves 295,000, no callers. Next hand, Mike Takayama raises 95,000, Magsakay uses on time-bank then jams 395,000. Takayama folds.

Field is down to 7 players which means it's bubble time with only 6 players seeing the money. We will have the chip counts in a sec.

Down to 3 bb, Quang Huy Nguyen goes all in, the blinds call then proceed to check down the board J♠ 7♥ 9♥ 7♦ 5♥ . Poetra spikes a pair to send off Nguyen just before the bubble round.

From utg, Alfie Poetra raises 60,000 and big blind Vamerdino Magsakay calls. A♠ the board runs J♠ 8♦ 4♣ 6♥ Q♣ , Poetra bets 40,000, 95,000, and 130,000, Magasakay check-calls the first two bets then folds to the river bet.

Four players in on a raised pot, flop is 3♥ Q♥ 8♦ , action is checked to William Teoh, he bets 150,000, no takers.

From utg+2 Marc Rivera opens then calls Michael Soyza's 180,000 re-raise. Rivera check-calls Soyza's 150,000 c-bet on the flop 2♦ 6♠ 7♠ . The turn 6♥ and river 3♥ is checked. Rivera flips over 8♦ 8♠ and wins the pot.

Back to back hands for Alfie Poetra who defends his big blind then check-calls Marc Rivera's 50,000 c-bet at the flop J♥ 7♠ 3♣ . The turn J♠ is checked. Poetra tank-bets 185,000 on the river A♠ , Rivera calls, Poetra mucks.

Next hand, Poetra raises 60,000 from small blind and Rivera calls. Poetra bets 40,000 on the flop 3♠ 5♦ T♣ and jams 300,000 on the turn. Rivera calls then folds to the shove.

Edgar Asehan takes command, raising preflop then betting the flop and turn 4♦ T♦ J♠ T♥ , Quang Huy Nguyen and Vamerdino Magsakay call the 60,000 flop bet then fold to the 175,000 turn bet.

From hijack, Vamerdino Magsakay min-raises, big blind Gary Thompson defends. The board is checked to the river T♠ 9♣ 7♥ K♥ 5♦ . Magsakay bets 50,000, Thompson check-calls. Magsakay shows Q♠ Q♥ and wins it over Thompson's T♥ 8♣ .

Following the win, Magsakay raises the next two hands and steals the blinds and antes to cross over a million.

Three player see a flop A♦ 2♠ 3♥ , Edgar Asehan c-bets 60,000 and is check-called by the blinds Marc Rivera and William Teoh. They all check the turn Q♥ . Teoh bets 100,000 on the river 2♦ , Asehan folds, Rivera check-calls and wins with top pair.

William Teoh goes to a flop 8♦ 9♣ K♠ with two other players then jams 330,000, no takers.

Edgar Asehan opens 50,000, Mike Takayama three-bets 115,000, Asehan replies with shove of 715,000, Takayama tosses his hand in the muck.

From lojack, Michael Soyza opens, big blind Marc Rivera calls, then both stare down a flop T♦ 4♦ 6♠ . Soyza c-bets 45,000, Rivera check-raises 140,000 but not before using up a time bank, Soyza answers with a shove, Rivera folds.

Button Quang Huy Nguyen opens 50,00 and big blind Alfie Poetra calls to head to a flop 5♣ 9♦ T♦ . Nguyen c-bets 80,000, Poetra tanks using up a time-bank then check-raises 190,000 which is enough to induce a fold.

Mike Takayama opens 45,000 from utg and Michael Soyza defends the big blind. Takayama c-bets 45,000 on a flop Q♠ 7♣ 5♦ , Soyza check-calls. The turn 4♠ is checked for a river 8♥ . Takayama sends out 130,000 gets called then shows A♣ Q♣ . Soyza mucks to the top pair.

Quang Huy Nguyen opens 40,000, two players call, then all check to the turn A♥ J♥ 5♦ 3♥ . Nguyen leads out 110,000, no callers.

Mike Takayama opens 40,000, cutoff Vamerdino Magsakay pumps it to 110,000, Takayama calls and head to a flop K♠ Q♥ 3♦ . Takayama passes the betting to Magsakay who continues for 65,000, Takayama folds.

Having lost a pot to Mike Takayama, Quang Huy Nguyen enters a raised pot by Gary Thompson with Marc Rviera also joining in. On a flop 8♣ 6♦ 5♣ , action is checked to Nguyen who bets 75,000 which is good enough to win the pot.

From cutoff, Mike Takayama opens 45,000, button Quang Huy Nguyen re-raises 120,000, Takayama flats. Flop comes 6♦ 8♦ 2♥ , Nguyen bets 130,000, Takayama uses two time-banks then check-raises 290,000, Nguyen calls. On the turn K♦ , Takayama takes the reins for 150,000 and wins the pot without further challenge.

Short stacked Ngo Khoa Anh enters the day with 7 bb and has brought it up to 11 bb with two shoves uncalled to steal the blinds and antes.

Cards are now flying at Day 2 of the APPT Super High Roller with 10 players back on the felt. Only the top 6 get paid. Leading the pack is Gary Thompson with a towering 101 bb. This is deja vu for Thompson who was also seen at the top of the counts entering Day 2 of the APPT National.
