Day 1B of the APPT Manila Open is a wrap with 33 players out of the 189 entries surviving. Philippine player Jason Magbanua closed a chip leader with 370,000.

Emman Segismundo opens from cutoff and is called by two players. At the flop 7♠ 3♠ 8♥ , Segismundo continues for 15,000, button folds, Ryan Platon check-raises 45,000, Segismundo answers with a jam that covers Platon.

All in preflop with Moon Kyung Ho holding K♣ K♠ that stays ahead of Datuking Magelna's Q♣ Q♦ on a Jack-high board.

Utg Ryan Platon opens and big blind Neo Zhi Han calls with 3♦ 7♦ . Han lands trips on the flop 3♣ Q♥ 3♠ and check-calls Platon's 12,000 bet. On the turn 9♣, Platon continues for 25,000, Han check-raises all in for 111,500, Platon calls.

William Ysmael opens from the button and big blind Andrew Kitchen defends. The board runs 7♠ 4♣ 4♥ 8♥ 3♠ , Ysmael bets 5500, 13,300, 18,000, Kitchen check-calls it down. Ysmael has A♣ 8♠ top pair, Kitchen mucks.

Facing a raise that's called, ig blind Randee Clybouw three-bets 32,000 and one player calls to the flop 6♣ K♦ 8♣ . Clybouw continues 15,000 that's called again. On the turn 6♦ , Clybouw shove 33,000 and this time wins without challenge.

Action folds to the button Seonghun Park who raises 5500 then calls small blind Xiong Cheng's 16,500 re-raise. Cheng continues on the flop K♠ 6♥ 2♠ , Park calls again. The turn 8♠ and river J♠ is checked. Cheng has A♦ 6♦ , Park wins the pot with K♥ Q♣ top pair.

Big blind Alvir Inocentes calls hijack Alex Kaminski's raise then takes charge throughout the board 8♥ 9♦ 6♣ 4♠ 2♥ . Inocentes bets 2000, 17,500, and is called, no call by Kaminski on the 75,000 river bet.

Maxwell Rosete opens 3500 and Ryan Platon defends the big blind. Rosete continues 4500 on the flop K♠ 2♠ 7♣ , Platon check-calls. The turn 9♣ , Rosete fires another barrel of 16,500 and this time wins it without challenge.

The river 6♠ is not one of Concepcion's four outs for Budykin to double up.

All in preflop with Lenart Ecarma A♥ K♥ calls short stacked player A♣ T♣ . Board runs T♥ K♦ 4♦ 3♥ 9♦ .

Button Noel Araniel three-bets 6500 and utg Feng Ji Chua calls. When the board completes 9♦ A♥ K♥ 2♠ 2♥ , Araniel continues 6500, 11,500, and 16,500, Chua calls it down. Araniel flips over 9♠ 9♣ , Chua mucks.

Button Dhaval Mudgal raises 3000, big blind Ryan Platon three-bets 9600, Mudgal calls. When the board runs 2♦ 7♠ 8♥ 3♠ , Platon continues for 5000 and 35,000, Mudgal calls. On the river 3♥ , Platon sizes up Mudgal's stack of 82,000 and slides out the exact amount, Mudgal folds.

William Ysmael opens 2500, button Randee Clybouw three-bets 6000, Ysmael four-bets all in for 40,200 and wins it unchallenged.

Gou Zhan Xi opens 2500 and two players call to the flop Q♦ T♣ 2♣ . Gou continues for 2800, Dexter Santos bumps it up to 6400, one player folds, Gou calls. On the turn 5♦ , Santos fires again for 26,500, Gou gives up.

Hijack opens 2800 and three players call. At the flop J♥ 4♠ T♥ , Kunlong Yu bet 5500, no callers.

Neo Zhi Han opens 2500, big blind Liao Chengyu three-bets 6000, Neo four-bets all in for 45,000, Liao calls with less behind.

Alexander Ciresa calls an open jam and is ahead A♦ K♣ to the at-risk player's A♣ Q♣ . When the board runs 6♥ 8♣ 2♥ Q♠ , Ciresa falls behind which quickly changes on the river K♥ to ship it and boot one.

Jose Drilon opens 2500 and button Ronnie Alcano looks him up for a flop 5♦ J♠ 7♥ . Drilon continues for 5000 and Alcano sticks around. On the turn 6♥ , Drilon checks, Alcano bets 25,000, Drilon gives up his hand.

With the river 6♠ , Cayetano misses his draw and busts.

With a 23,500 pot brewed preflop, cards land K♥ 9♣ 2♥ . John Dela Cruz bets 6500 and Badrudin Ampatuan calls. On the turn Q♥ , Ampatuan takes the reins for 6500, no call from Dela Cruz.

Lijun Zhang bets 2000 on a flop 4♦ 8♥ 6♥ , Florencio Campomanes check-raises 6400, one player folds, Zhang calls. On the turn 9♠ , Campomanes sends out 14,000 and this time finds no challenge for the pot.

The turn T♠ and river Q♥ improves Erquiaga to a straight to survive and double up.

Kazushi Nomura four-bets all in with A♠ 9♦ and Aron Dermer calls for his tournament life with A♣ A♦ . The board runs out 3♣ 7♦ 9♥ 2♦ 2♣ , Dermer doubles up.

With 15,000 brewed and a board showing Q♥ 8♣ T♠ 7♥ , Marvin Cerbito bets 5000, Tom Verbruggen check-raises all in for 14,500, Cerbito calls then pays up with Q♦ J♠ behind Verbruggen's K♣ K♥ .

On a board showing 9♦ 8♥ 4♣ 7♠ K♦ with 21,300 in the pot, Ryan Platon overbets 24,000, Maxwell Rosete calls then mucks to Platon's K♥ K♠ .

Richard Tolentino opens 2000 and heads to the flop 3♦ T♦ K♠ with one caller. Tolentino continues 1000 that's called. Tolentino bets a larger 2500 on the turn 6♠ called again. On the river 8♣ Tolentino fires 7000 and this time wins the pot uncontested.

Noel Araniel drives the action with a raise preflop that's called by Ching Li Lok. At the flop and turn 6♠ T♠ Q♣ 9♣, Araniel c-bets 2000 and 2500, called both times by Ching. The river is checked by both. Araniel has A♦ 8♣ flush that beats Ching's J♦ 5♣ lower flush.

Dhaval Mudgal calls Randee Clybouw three-bets shove with K♦ J♠ up against 6♠ 6♦ . The board favors the made pair runnnig 3♥ 6♣ 7♠ 9♠ 9♣ for a double up to Clybouw.

Preflop battle ends with button player three-betting all in for 22,000 holding A♣ K♦ and faces Gabby Concepcion with K♠ K♥ . With no hits on the board 4♥ J♠ T♦ T♣ 6♠ , Concepcion ships it and rails one.

Four players in on a raised pot preflop, board runs K♠ 9♥ 7♦ , Benjamin Jacobs bets 2100 and heads to the turn K♣ with two callers. Jacobs continues for 2500, gets called, then Feng Zhao check-raises 8000, Jacobs answers with a re-raise of 17,500, one player folds, Zhao shoves 23,000 total. Jacobs folds.

Youngbae Kim calls a three-bet shove of 23,200 with T♣ T♦ and is behind A♦ A♠. However with the board running 9♣ T♠ 6♦ Q♣ 4♥ , Kim lands the two-outer to ship it and rail one.

Florencio Campomanes three-bets 3100 from cutoff and initial raiser Phillip Nguyen obliges and both see a flop Q♣ Q♦ 7♠ . Campomanes continues 2200 and just like that, he wins the pot.

Three-bet pot to 9000 sees a flop 6♣ 3♦ 9♥ with three players in. Hijack Benhur Ybarsabal bets 2000 and gets called by both button Christian Lortie and utg+2. On the turn 4♥ , Lortie leads out 6500, loses one player while Ybarsabal continues. The river K♣ is checked. Ybarsabal shows A♣ J♣ , Lortie mucks.

With a pot of 15,100 brewed by the turn J♥ 3♠ 6♦ T♠ , Florencio Campomanes raises 40,000 on the river A♠ putting his opponent all in who calls and shows T♣ T♠ . Campomanes has J♦ J♠ for the higher full house.

On a board showing T♥ J♦ 8♦ 5♦ with 23,400 in the pot, Ronnie Alcano bets 7500 on the river J♣ , Lee Suya check-raises all in for 30,200, Alcano calls.

Two players build a 9000 pot, Elan Zak bets 2700 on the flop 8♦ 9♠ 6♠ and Edgar Asehan calls. Both check the turn J♥ . Zak checks the river 2♠ , Asehan shoves 18,000, Zak folds.

With a pot of 6000, Philipson Chua bets 3300 on the flop 7♠ T♦ Q♠ and Kunlong Yu check-calls. On the turn J♠ , Chua shoves 8400 and wins the pot.

Preflop battle begins with Lin Hao raising 1000, button re-raises 2000, small blind Alex Kaminski calls, back to Lin who four-bets 6500, only Kaminski calls. At the flop 8♣ 4♦ 7♦ , Kaminski leads out 10,000 that meets no challenge from Lin.

Philipson Chua open shoves 5600 with K♣ 7♦ and Beng Hong Ker gives him a sweat with A♠ J♣ . With the board running 8♥ Q♥ 8♣ 7♠ 2♥ , Chua survives.

Daiisuke Yano open shoves a large 10,200 and is called by two players to who check the flop 8♥ 9♣ J♣ . On the turn A♥ , Benhur Ybarsabal 50,000 for a side pot but no call.

The river 5♦ spells the end for Yano.

Jannodin Riga opens then calls cutoff Minho Cho's 2600 three-bet. Cho c-bets 1500 on the flop 6♥ 3♣ A♣ only to face a check-raise from Riga of 4200, Cho folds.

Seven players build a 5200 pot and head to a flop T♠ 8♣ 9♣ . Soo Ghee Lim jams his last 5700 and is called only by Alexis Lim.

The turn T♥ and river 2♣ keep Lim's bottom straight ahead to ship it.

Back for another try, Francisco Osuna calls down Noel Araniel's 1600 preflop raise and 1700 flop Q♦ A♦ 8♦ bet. Both check the turn 4♦ then Araniel fires 10,100 on the river T♦ , Osuna calls again then mucks to the K♦ Q♣ nut flush.

Utg+1 Li Lok Ching opens then four-bets to 6200, cutoff Thi Bao An calls to end the preflop battle. Dealer fans out J♦ 6♠ A♠ , Ching continues for 4100 and wins it unchallenged.

Okada Kickoff winner Christian Lortie has joined the action and looks down at A♥ A♣ on the button and puts in an 800 raise. Big blind Mike Takayama defends. A♠ the board completes T♦ 8♦ 2♥ 6♠ J♣ , Lortie continues 600 and 1800 then checks the river. Takayama sticks with him throughout and shows 4♦ 5♦ that missed. Lortie collects the pot.

Ashley Patterson opens then calls button Noel Araniel's 2300 re-raise and both head to the flop Q♣ 7♣ 2♦ . Araniel continues for 2000 that's check-called. Check-check the turn 9♣ until the river Q♦ that sees a 5100 bet from Patterson. Araniel gives up his hand.

Elan Zak opens 800 and finds two callers to the flop T♦ 6♦ 4♠ . Zak continues for 1300, Zhining Chen calls, big blind Gabriel Roh check-raises 3500 and both call. Action is checked to button Chen on the turn A♦ , he bets 5000, Roh check-raises all in for 11,000, no takers.

Sham Wing Sheuk calls Mike Takayama's preflop 500 raise and calls another 500 on the flop 5♣ 3♠ 2♥ . On the turn T♣ , Sham raises from 1400 to 3400 and Takayama calls. The river 8♣ , Sham bets 2000, Takayama check-calls, Sham shows A♥ 4♥ straight, Takayama mucks.

Benhur Ybarsabal opens then calls Wing Sheuk Sham's 2500 three-bet. On a flop T♠ 3♥ A♠ , Ybarsabal calls a 3000 c-bet and leads out 7000 on the turn 5♣ . Sham folds.

Mikko Cayetano three-bets from the button and initial raiser Joshua Chargualaf calls. Cayetano continues 1500 n a flop J♠ T♦ 8♠ and just like that, he collects the pot.

On a board showing J♥ J♦ 9♠ 3♥ T♠ with 9000 in the pot, Arlon Carrera bets 8000, Xiong Cheng shoves (40,000), Carrera calls and falls with Q♥ J♣ trips crushed by T♦ T♥ full house.

Five players in on a raised pot amounting to 1600. Utg Uday Duggal bets 700, two players call, then all check the turn A♠ . On the river Q♣ , Ker Beng Hong bets 2100, no takers.

Three players in on a 6500 pot with a flop showing 2♣ J♦ T♠ . No bets land until the turn 6♠ with button player Daiisuke Yano sliding out 2200. Both Joshua Chargualaf and Emmanuel Derecho call to head to the river 5♠. Once again, they check. Derecho wins the pot with A♠ 6♣ .

Following a raise with one caller, small blind Uday Duggal bumps it up to 7700 and goes to the flop K♥ A♠ 5♠ with one caller Ker Beng Hong. Duggal c-bets 2200 and takes it down.

On a raised pot preflop, cards land 4♦ T♣ 6♥ with Thomas Ward continuing for 500. Ronald Haverkamp calls and both check the turn 8♦ . Ward bets 1100 on the river A♠ and wins the pot.

Seokchul Hwang opens for 300, big blind Andrew Kitchen defends, and both check the flop 8♥ 2♣ 5♦ . Kitchen leads out 600 on the turn A♥ and Hwang calls. Kitchen bets 1100 on the river 9♥ , is met with 3100 raise, Kitchen calls then mucks to Hwang's K♥ 6♥ flush.

Cards are now flying at Day 1B of the APPT Open! Registration stays open until the end of Level 10 at 7:10pm.

The first key event of APPT Manila resumes today at Cove in Okada Manila starting at 12pm with Day 1B on the floor. The event features a generous PHP 20,000,000 (~USD 340,550) guarantee. This is the second of three starting days scheduled.

For a buy in of PHP 60,000 (~USD 1,020), players receive a 30,000 stack equivalent to 300 times the opening blinds. Blinds increase every 40 minutes for Day 1B, and every 20 minutes for Day 1C Turbo. Players that advance to Day 2, will see a looser 60 minutes for the duration of the tournament. All Day 1 flights play a total of 15 levels. Re-entries are allowed and multiple stacks however only the largest stack advances while the extra will be removed from play and earns the minimum payout.
