After several orbits with Keng Yong Tan picking up a couple of small pots he claims a big one to end Day 2. Hand opens with Tan raising 100,000 from the button, called by the big blind Jeoffrey Sibal.

Both players check the flop 7♥ A♠ 9♦ , then Sibal leads out 150,000 on the turn J♦, Tan raises 300,000, Sibal shoves his remaining 615,000 and is snap-called.

From the small blind, Vivencio Nachor looks down at A♠ A♥ and raises 85,000, big blind Gary Thompson calls. When the board completes Q♠ 3♣ J♦ A♣ 6♠ , Nachor bets every street 75,000, 100,000, 150,000, Thompson calls it down then mucks.

Penderak misses the board to fall in 12th place.

Just before the new level, Mike Takayama doubled up through Finn Penderak with his K♠ K♣ standing up against A♣ Q♦ . At the turn of the new level, Takayama shoves again and is flipping with T♥ 9♣ against Hiroyuki Akanuma's 8♣ 8♠ . The board runs K♣ 7♥ 2♠ 6♣ 4♥ .

Takayama falls in 13th place just missing his fourth final table in this series.

Andrei Budykin raises to 55,000, two players join to the flop J♠ 7♦ K♦ . Budykin continues for 70,000, Hiroyuki Akanuma folds, Keng Yong Tan check-raises 500,000 to put Budykin all in (280,000), Budykin calls.

Vivencio Nachor opens for 50,000 and finds two callers to the flop 8♣ 3♥ K♠ . Nachor leads 60,000, Li Mu Ze calls as Seokchul Hwang folds. Turn 6♥ is checked by both. Nachor also checks the river 4♦ , Li bets 100,000, gets called. Nachor shows 7♠ 7♦ and wins the pot.

Seokchul Hwang opens 55,000 and is called by Vivencio Nachor and Seungcheol Choi. Flop comes Q♥ 5♦ 7♣ , Hwang continues for 100,000, Nachor raises 220,000, Choi folds, Hwang thinks about it then folds as well.

This time Liao doesn't get past kings and exits. Kishimoto soars to over 2 Million in chips.

From hijack, Vivencio Nachor bumps it up to 45,000, big blind Kaoru Kishimoto defends. They both check the flop 7♣ 4♥ 6♦ then Kishimoto leads out the turn 7♦ for 50,000. Nachor raises to 125,000, Kishimoto calls to bring the river 6♥ . Both check. Kishimoto has the boat

Sitting with a mountain of chips at one point, Zhiyu Wang plunges then falls in two hands against Seokchul Hwang. First one Wang opens 32,000, Hwang defends the big blind. The board goes on to complete 7♦ K♦ 6♦ 4♣ J♦ , Wang calls down Hwang's 50,000, 100,000, and 300,000 bets. Hwang opens A♦ 9♥ , Wang mucks.

Next encounter, opens a huge 142,000, Hwang three-bets 300,000 which covers Wang (242,000) who calls.

A huge pot was already weighing down the middle of around 324,000 with two players staring down a flop 4♣ 2♣ 5♥ . Ho Kuen Li bets 105,000, Zhiyu Wang check-calls. Li fires 270,000 on the turn T♥ , Wang gives up his hand.

A couple of hands from chip leader Gary Thompson with the first one against William Ysmael who defends the big blind on Thompson's raise. Thompson continues on a flop K♣ A♣ 9♠ , Ysmael calls. Thompson fires 33,000 on the turn Q♠ and wins the pot uncalled.

Four hands later, Thompson is on the big blind and lays out a three-bet of 140,000. Initial raiser Li Mu Ze re-pops it to 250,000, small blind folds and Thompson ends the battle by calling.

Both players check the flop 8♣ 6♠ 4♠ , Li bets 125,000on the turn A♣ , Thompson check-calls. Both check the river 8♥ . Li's kicker plays.

Though behind, the board improves Sibal to a straight to be given renewed life.

Following a raise from Yasuda Kazuma, Vivencio Nachor defends his big blind then both check the flop 7♥ 3♥ T♦ . Nachor leads out 30,000 on the turn 8♦ and 50,000 on the river T♠ , Kazuma calls both . Nachor flips over T♥ 9♥ trips for the win.

Yohei takes the lead at the flop that vanishes on Patterson's rivered set.

Gary Thompson rakes in another pot to rise to 1,500,000. From cutoff, he min-raises and button Mike Takayama calls. Thompson continues for 55,000 at the flop A♥ J♣ 7♠ and 90,000 on the turn K♦ . Takayama folds to the turn bet.

Ashley Patterson raises 25,000, two players call, they all check the flop T♥ 2♦ J♣ . Following two checks, Vivencio Nachor bets 15,000, only Patterson continues to the river K♣ then leads out 50,000. Nachor calls and takes it down with a straight.

The day's entering chip leader Gary Thompson continues to command having risen past a million in chips (110 bb). His latest hand he opens opens then calls small blind Renniel Galvez's 80,000 re-raise. On the flop K♠ 8♦ 7♦ , Thompson calls the 65,000 c-bet then both check the turn 4♠ . Switching up, Thompson bets a huges 375,000 on the river 8♣ which well covers Galvez's stack. Galvez folds.

Li's jacks for a huge double up while Seung plunges to 1.5 bb.

An Seokyeol kicks off the hand with a raise of 22,000 that's called by Finn Penderak from cutoff. A♠ the board completes 3♠ K♥ T♥ 6♦ 2♠ , Penderak calls down 25,000, 75,000, then on the 140,000 bet, Penderak shoves for 317,000 in total. Seokyeol calls then loses to the set.

Ryan Platon opens from the button and the blinds call. Action is checked to the turn 4♥ 9♥ 5♣ 5♦ , Vivencio Nachor bets 20,000, Platon calls, and Kimura folds. Another 40,000 from Nachor on the river 6♦ , Platon calls then mucks to Nachor's 2♣ 6♠ rivered pair.

Nachor looks to be one of the chip leaders with Gary Thompson just slighty ahead.

Uday misses the turn 5♠ and river 5♣ to pack up as Choi ships it.

Chip leader Gary Thompson opens 12,000 then calls small blind Yoo Seung's 36,000 re-raise. Seung continues on the flop and turn 3♠ A♠ 9♦ 9♥ with 15,000 and 45,000, Thompson calls the flop then folds on the turn.

Cards are now flying at Day 2 of the APPT National. Leading the way is Gary Thompson with a towering 151 bb which is nearly double his closes challenger Kaoru Kishimoto with 77 bb.

After three entry days, the APPT National drew 449 entries to breach the PHP 10 Million guarantee. The 68 remaining players are now secured a piece of the PHP 15,679,080 (~~USD 268,325) prize pool with a minimum payout of PHP 63,000 (~USD 1,925). The ultimate winner earns the biggest cut, a cool PHP 3,000,000 (~USD 51,340).
