The World Poker Tour Asia Online is well underway on the Poker King app with numerous players already crowned as champions. Games kicked off on November 12 and will run through November 22. The CN¥ 10,000,000 guaranteed Main Event headliner is currently in progress with three starting days in the books. Players can still jump in with four more entry flights available. WPT Asia

Main Event – CN¥ 10,000,000 guaranteed

Attraction has been tremendous at the Main Event with a tide of players logging in for a chance at the massive CN¥ 10,000,000 (~US$ 1.56 Million) guaranteed prize pool. The first three starting days drew 1,466 entries with 362 moving on to Day 2. Among the advancing crowd were Patrik Antonius, Lynn Gilmartin, and DJ Steve Aoki. Gilmartin ran up a big stack early on Day 1A, climbing as high as fourth rank before closing in the middle of the pack. One of her winning hands was AdKc top pair higher kicker over KhJh on a board Ks5c3c2s10h. As for Antonius and Aoki, both survived Day 1C.

Four starting days remain with Poker King brand ambassadors Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan, and pro player Daniel Dvoress due to appear. As an added incentive, players will receive a special bounty reward for every participating star they eliminate.

Event #2: NLHE CN¥ 1,000,000 GTD

Opening day came out blasting with the featured NLHE CN¥ 1 Million (~US$ 156,600) guaranteed event. Although a sizable 907 entry field was seen, it still met a slight overlay. Out of the 109 players earning a cut, “Woshuaiwoleyi89” emerged the richest, converting the CN¥ 1,100 (~US$ 172) buy in into a hefty CN¥ 191,400 (~US$ 29,985) bankroll.

Event #4: NLHE Progressive Bounties CN¥ 500K GTD

The second featured event was the NLHE Progressive Bounties CN¥ 500,000 (~US$ 78,330) guaranteed, and this too drew another impressive field. 716 logged on, each one investing CN¥ 1,100 (~US$ 172), to build a sweeter prize pool amounting to CN¥ 787,600 (~US$ 123,390). Out of the 257 players that reached the money, the lone head hunter standing was player “xixixiHao” to earn a worthy champion’s payout of CN¥ 116,135 (~US$ 18,200).

Event #6: Mini Main Event – CN¥ 1,000,000 GTD

The CN¥ 1,000,000 (~US$ 156,600) guaranteed Mini Main Event brought a flood of entries, with 669 turning up for Day 1A and a larger 827 for Day 1B. At CN¥ 550 (~US$ 86) buy in each, this meant plenty of value as it overlaid CN¥ 252K. Out of the 1,496 combined entries, only 362 moved on to Day 2 with a further 180 reaching the money. In the end, player “Xunhuawenliu” banked a handsome CN¥ 180,675 (~US$ 28,300) for his triumph.
