Three day countdown for PokerStars LIVE’s APPT Warm Up begins

 

Following last June’s record breaking results, PokerStars LIVE is gearing up for a busy month ahead with two full-fledged festivals taking the stage at Okada Manila, Philippines this July. Players in preparation for the upcoming Asia Pacific Poker Tour Manila 15 can test the felt as early as this Sunday, July 7th with the APPT Warm Up running through the 14th.

The eight day series features over PHP 10,000,000 (~USD 170,580) in guarantees across its 18 trophy event lineup, headlined by a PHP 5,000,000 (~USD 85,290) guaranteed Main Event. Grinding the entire festival is seemingly light on the pocket with buy-ins ranging from PHP 4,000 (~USD 68) to its highest listed at PHP 25,000 (~USD 426). Aside from the prizes in store, up to 12 APPT Manila packages valued at PHP 120,000 (~USD 2,040) will also be given away, with a Mega Qualifier running on Saturday, July 13th for a fraction of the price. With the APPT Warm Up festival kicking off this weekend, it’s not until midweek, July 10th until the Main Event hits the felt. Hoisting a sizeable guarantee, buy-in is set at an affordable PHP 16,500 (~USD 280) with players given the option to fire as many bullets as they wish across the four starting flights on schedule. Each Day 1 will play down to 15% of the field, allowing those who make it through a sure return on their money. All tournament runners start off with a 30,000 stack, equivalent to 300x the starting blinds.

Day 2 survivors will continue for another day of battle across 30 minute blind levels with the action deemed to close once the final nine is set. Final Day is in for an extended 40 minute duration of play, finishing off with the top two winners receiving a ₱120,000 APPT Manila Package (seat and accommodation) taken from the prize pool.

Scheduled ten days after the APPT Warm Up games runs its course, the APPT Manila 15 takes over from July 24 – August 5 for a much bigger celebration at Cove Manila, Okada Manila. An event not to miss, this season’s festivities boasts a whopping PHP 144 Million (~USD 2.6M) in guarantees with the Main Event itself covering PHP 55 Million (~USD 938,200) of that magnitude. 

Considering the notable prize pools, buy-ins are set at a higher tier with the Main Event priced at PHP 80,000 (~USD 1,360). Those who find this a bit too steep are welcome to jump in the qualifiers available at the tail end of the APPT Warm Up schedule and attempt to score entries for cheap.
