Taiwan Millions Tournament Day 1G Draws 1,224; Pot Rises to $1.2 Million

Taiwan Millions Tournament

The Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) set themselves a high bar for the Taiwan Millions Tournament 16 Main Event with a jaw-dropping USD 1 Million Main Event prize pool guaranteed. That ambitious figure has now been way dusted with 4,430 entries across five entry flights. Players can still sign up with two final flights on deck today.

At the time of posting, Day 1G had already closed with a roaring 1,224 entries. That boosted the entries to 5,655 and the pot well over USD 1.2 Million! Day 1H is still open with final signups only allowed until the end of Level 9 at 9:30pm. This is a turbo flight so action will be fast.

In a quote by CTP owner David Tai,

“Taiwan Million Tournament 16th has seen a remarkable turnout, already surpassing the guaranteed prize pool of $1 million USD. With the final flight set to begin at 6 PM today, we believe it is possible to reach 7,000 entries. The growth of the poker community in Taiwan, along with a significant influx of players from overseas countries such as Hong Kong, the Philippines, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia, marks this event as a historic milestone for the largest poker tournament in Asia. In addition to the huge prize pool, the final nine players will also receive TMT Championship seats worth NT$33,000, with the event to be held in October. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the players who have made this event possible and contributed to this incredible achievement.”
