Rising Chinese brand, Top Joy Poker Tour (TJPT) and South Korea’s premier brand Ace Poker League (APL) have joined forces to bring players the richest event in Seoul, South Korea!
Taking place at the Swiss Grand Hotel from September 28 to October 9, 2023, it features over ₩3.82 Billion (~US$ 2.88 Million) in combined guarantees, the largest ever prize pool advertised in the Asian region.
With poker’s continued boom in the country, players are advised to secure tickets as seats sell out quite fast. Unlike other events in the region, in Korea, once an event guarantee has been met, it is considered “sold out”. Seats are no longer available.

About Top Joy Poker Tour
Emerging into the Chinese poker scene in 2019, Top Joy Poker Tour has quickly become one of the most popular brands in the mainland. In April, the TJPT Shanghai Poker Tournament drew 1,771 Main Event entries for a prize pool of CNY 9,160,000, equivalent to over USD 1.33 Million.
TJPT’s biggest event was in February 2023, the 4th annual TJPT Grand Finale which drew 2,183 entries for a brand record Main Event prize pool of CNY 17,426,000, equivalent to over USD 2.5 Million.
Ace Poker League Seoul 2023
The second leg of the festival is hosted by Korea’s foremost brand, Ace Poker League, with games slated from October 3 to 9, 2023. As tradition dictates, the tables will be bustling from the outset. APL Seoul 2023 boasts a total of ₩2.5 Billion (~USD 1.88 Million) in guarantees across 19 events, with the Main Event featuring the most substantial prize pool at ₩1.1 Billion (~USD 827,500).
Since 2020, APL has established its dominance in the Korean poker scene, to the extent that local players find little reason to venture beyond the country’s borders, given the substantial prize pools on offer. Players can expect to see WSOP bracelet winners Jinho Hong, Sung Joo Hyun, and other Korean ace players such as Hyun Sup Kim, Jae Ho Lee, Daewoong Song, Soo Jo Kim, and Yo Hwan Lim.
To win tickets, APL has been running satellites at various pubs around South Korea and in the 2ACE online poker app (GG skin). Players also have chance at winning packages to WSOP Paradise Bahamas in December.
