Red Dragon Poker Tour Jeju 2024 packs a full house

Day two of the Red Dragon Poker Tour festivities at Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World, South Korea quickly picked up the pace and welcomed a full house just in time for the last two flights of the KPC Baby Dragon Special Event. With three heats in the books, a total of 512 entries for the opening highlight were recorded, generating a prize pool of KRW 670,464,000 (~USD 484,130). Each flight played down to 15% of the field and saw a combined 78 players advance to Day 2. Action resumes today, July 28th at 12:00 sharp – Level 16: 4,000 / 8,000 ante 8,000, and will play down to a winner with KRW 132,654,000 (~USD 95,780) listed up top.

Running alongside the KPC Baby Dragon Day 2 games this Sunday, are side events Single Day High Roller, No Limit 2-7 Single Draw, and a concluding Win the Button Hyper Turbo for some late night action. Two qualifying rounds for the Dragon Egg Mystery Bounty event will also run in addition, with runners set to return tomorrow for the final games.

KPC Baby Dragon Day 1B and Day 1C Recap

China’s Sun Yuan leads KPC Baby Dragon Day 2 charge

Day 1B was off to a smashing start with the initial flight’s numbers surpassed right by the second level of the day. By the time registration closed, 273 entries were locked in with play due to conclude at 41 players. Gameplay ran for sixteen 30-minute levels and saw China’s Sun Yuan stack the highest by night’s end. Sun wielded his big stack left and right and continuously took down several pots to finally end the day with a commanding lead at 543,000 (68 BB). Sun leads the overall Day 2 charge with second in following, Sun Jianfeng stacking just behind with 366,000 (46 BB). 

The last flight on schedule, Day 1C Turbo completed the event’s qualifying rounds and saw another 25 survivors advance through, led by Xiaosheng Zheng. Xiaosheng busted one right at hand for hand play to inch the lead and come into Day 2 with 348,000 (44 BB). Other Asian notables joining the list are Queen of Poker Celina Lin (298,000), Valeriy Pak (252,000), Tianyuan Tang (159,000), The Lord Poker Tournament’s Ivan Zhang (152,000), and Kuang Hung Lee (14,000). Team Dragon, who just made their debut this season, was likewise in full force with Ying Song (267,000), Liu Yin (158,000), Tao Yin (155,000), and Chenxu Zhang (138,000) amongst survivors.
