Chaar-LeeAuthor
Chaar-Lee discovered poker over 20 years ago, starting with fixed-limit games before embracing the rise of No-Limit Hold’em across cash games, STTs, and MTTs. In the early days, he and his circle sometimes played more than 40 different formats in a single night. He organized the first poker camp in his region and has contributed poker technology to several televised shows. Today, he supports the SOMUCHPOKER team from the tech side, blending two decades of poker passion with technical expertise.

After kicking off his poker career in 2020 at the Japan Open Poker Tour, Japanese player Yuta Takazawa gained impressive momentum on the felt in 2023. He commenced his 2023 run with a 1st-place win at the 2023 WPL X KSOP Live Series in Seoul, bagging KRW 17,000,000 (USD 13,026) in prize money.

Takazawa’s next 1st-place win came during the Ace Poker League in Seoul, where he dominated the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event. He achieved a career-high of KRW 350,600,000 in winnings (USD 258,915) and became the second non-Korean to claim a major APL title on Korean soil.

The Japanese player began his 2024 run on a high, placing 1st in the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event at the 2024 WPL X KSOP Live Series third season, enjoying a prize pot of KRW 270,000,000 (USD 205,567).

Takazawa is inching his way up the Japan All-Time Money List at 30th place, and has nearly USD 500,000 in live earnings.
