Chaar-Lee discovered poker over 20 years ago, starting with fixed-limit games before embracing the rise of No-Limit Hold’em across cash games, STTs, and MTTs. In the early days, he and his circle sometimes played more than 40 different formats in a single night. He organized the first poker camp in his region and has contributed poker technology to several televised shows. Today, he supports the SOMUCHPOKER team from the tech side, blending two decades of poker passion with technical expertise.

For Chinese online pro Xuming Qi, the idiom “slow but steady wins the race” seems to fit his live tournament strategy. While his most prominent achievement to date is from placing runner-up to Germany’s poker champion Daniel Smiljkovic at the 2021 GGPoker World Series of Poker Online, Xuming Qi is picking up speed in the live felt action.

Xuming Qi began a promising live tournament career in 2015. In only his second event, Qi placed third at the World Poker Tour National China High Roller Event. Then a year after, he finished second at the 2016 Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau Poker Cup, again in the High Roller Event cashing his first six-figure paycheck of $198,827. The following year, the Chinese player registered his career best cash of $212,098 as runner-up at the Macau Poker Cup 26 High Roller Event.

While his favorite hunting grounds were in the China circuits of Macau and Sanya cities, Xuming Qi discovered the Las Vegas scene, participating in the World Series of Poker beginning in 2017. Most of his notable WSOP achievements though were on-line as mentioned earlier. His best live WSOP tournament showing to date came in June 2023 at the 54th WSOP edition running deep at a bracelet event to bank $89,644. Combined with his online play, his WSOP winnings account for over $400,000 in prize money.

In 2018, Xuming Qi captured his first title, winning the Megastack Event of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau Poker Cup. His second title came at the 2020 China Poker Games Sanya Championship adding $153,374 to his career earnings. Qi’s slow but consistent play has given him the $1 Million milestone in live cash earnings with a total of $1,435,902 as of this writing. Qi is ranked 25th in the China All Time Money List.
