Profile

American-Vietnamese poker player Diep Quoc Bao or Kyle Bao Diep was first drawn to the card world in 2003. Once a former distributor for electronics overseas, Diep realized that poker was his calling when he ran deep at WPT in California in 2007. The son of renowned Vietnamese player Jimmy Diep, the younger Diep pursued a career with great success.

Since officially beginning his poker career in 2015, Diep has racked up over USD 250,000 in live earnings, with the majority of his significant cashes occurring in 2022 and 2023 in Vietnam. Diep landed his first major title in 2022 at the APT Mystery Bounty Hunter in Hanoi and enjoyed a hefty payout of VN₫ 520,660,000 (USD 21,800).

In the same summer of 2022, Diep went on to earn himself 3rd place at the WPT Prime Cambodia Opener for a generous USD 28,865. Diep’s next five-figure win occurred in 2023 at the VSOP Main Event, during which he bagged VN₫ 856,000,000 (~USD 35,900) for runner-up.  He bested that score in November, finishing 2nd again, this time at the USOP Danang Mini Main Event for over VND 1 Billion (~USD 44.6K), his largest career score until 2024 rolled in. At that time, he was also signed as the first USOP brand ambassador.

Diep’s new year kicked off with a bang. In January, he finished 6th at the inaugural WPT Cambodia Championship – first Main Tour in Southeast Asia – for a career high payout of USD 90,532.
