WPT Philippines: final side event winners; Pete Chen becomes only player to win two
With the Main Event now completed, it’s time to turn our attention back to the WPT Philippines side events. Throughout the 12-day series at Okada Manila, players hunted and battled for a taste of small victory. The final five winners are listed below. Among them were notable players Florencio Campomanes, Pete Yen Han Chen, and three first time winners – Yang Dongmyeong, Ronny Luok, and Vikaash Shah.
For Chen, he flew in from Taiwan once the travel ban was lifted, He made his efforts worth every chip by finishing the series as the only player to lift two titles. As For Campomanes, his hot streak continued. He triumphed at the High Roller event adding yet another title to his achievements.

That concludes the series in Manila. Despite the challenges due to the situation in the region, WPT Philippines exceeded expectations. WPT Vietnam in March has been canceled while WPT Taiwan was moved to May 14 to 24.
