The spotlight was firmly on the WPT Prime Cambodia Championship as Day 1B wrapped up, while two side events crowned their champions, highlighting both elite-level competition and veteran experience.
WPT Prime Cambodia Championship Day 1B: Kochhar Sets The Pace

Day 1B of the $1,100 WPT Prime Cambodia Championship drew 380 entries at NagaWorld. After the bubble burst, 48 players advanced, keeping the $750,000 guaranteed prize pool on track to be surpassed.
Armaan Kochhar of India led the field, bagging 1,067,000 chips (89 big blinds), setting a high benchmark for the final starting flight. Michael Falcon finished second with 943,000, while Vitaly Ivanov secured third with 908,000 after a late surge. Vaibhav Sharma capped off a strong day with 895,000 chips after eliminating Jaco Mouton on the bubble.
After two flights, the event has 671 entries, with 84 players already qualified for Day 2. The final flight, Day 1C, runs Sunday, February 1 at 11:30 a.m. local time.
Event #40: Seniors 50+ – Patrik Selin Claims the Title

The $300 Seniors 50+ event drew 59 entries, creating a $15,010 prize pool with nine players paid. At the final table, Sweden’s Patrik Selin started the three-way deal as the shortest stack, but he stayed calm and played his cards perfectly, eventually coming out on top as champion.
Selin agreed to the deal with Joughhun Kim and Alain Jacques Dumouchel, earning $2,744 for the win. Selin’s victory proves that experience and timing can make all the difference, even when the chips aren’t in your favor, and it adds another highlight to his WPT Cambodia journey.
Event #41: Deepstack Turbo High Roller – Xiaosheng Zheng Triumphs

The $3,000 Deepstack Turbo High Roller featured a 20-second shot clock and drew 10 entries, producing a $27,160 prize pool. Xiaosheng Zheng defeated Thomas Haverstad heads-up to claim $16,296 for his first trophy of the series, while Haverstad collected $10,864.
Zheng also had a strong run earlier in the festival, finishing 4th in the $3K Mystery Bounty High Roller for $39,850, having drawn the tournament’s largest bounty of $20,000, demonstrating his expertise in high-roller events.
What’s Next At WPT Cambodia 2026
Day 1C of the $1,100 WPT Prime Cambodia Championship wraps up the starting flights on February 1, completing the first stage of the tournament. All survivors from Day 1A, 1B, and 1C will return for Day 2 on February 2, where the stakes rise and the race toward the title heats up.
The most anticipated tournament of the festival, the WPT Cambodia Championship , will kick off on February 4 with a $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool. The $3,500 buy-in event features a 50,000 starting stack and one-hour levels, allowing for deep-stack play and strategic decisions.
