World Poker Championship Main Event pot now over ₫14B, One flight left on schedule
The World Poker Championship – South East Asian Poker Tour (SEAPT) festivities at Grand Loyal Poker Club has brought in a different level of buzz across the international live tournament scene. Throughout its first week, the festival had its share of record turnouts and insanely crushing prize pools, taking everyone in awe.
Players of several neighboring countries have flocked in time for the humongous Main Event currently underway. Among the recognizable faces seen in today’s qualifiers are Vietnam’s Dang Xuan Canh, Singapore’s Norbert Koh and Alex Lee, Philippines‘ Dave Erquiaga, India’s Ashish Munot, and Korea’s tandem Gab Yong Kim and Vivian Im.
A total of 479 entries have been collected through its first two flights, with its third one still open for registration as of writing. So far, 356 players have come to play Day 1C, pushing the growing prize pool now at a whopping VN₫ 14,094,000,000 (~US$ 594,382). Undeniably the biggest national event yet, players can still jump into Day 1D and join in on the action beginning at exactly 15:30. Buy-in is priced at VN₫ 20,000,000 (~US$ 843) and will run on a Turbo format for 25 minute blind levels.
