Stakes are high for WPT Korea Main Event featuring KR₩ 2 Billion (~USD 1.57M) guarantee
The World Poker Tour (WPT) has set a new benchmark in Asia with the WPT Korea Main Event backed by a jaw-dropping KR₩ 2,000,000,000 (~USD 1,575,600) guarantee.This is the largest prize pool ever extended by the brand in the region.
To have a chance at seizing a sizable portion, three starting days are scheduled on July 17, 18, and 19, followed by Day 2 on July 20 and Day 3 on July 21.Games take place at the Landing Casino located within the premises of the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa World atworld heritage site Jeju island.
In addition to the enticing guarantee, the structure is similar to that of the highly revered WPT Main Tour. Players begin with a deep 50,000 stack which is equivalent to 250 times the opening blinds. From start to finish, the blinds increase at a slow 60 minute pace.
To enter the Main Event, buy in is KR₩ 3,400,000 (~USD 2,680). This is only the second time the brand has offered its Main tour structure at half the price. The first offering was seen at the 2019 WPT Vietnam festival that was won by New Zealander Hamish Crawshaw.

Getting to Jeju Shinhwa Landing Resort
For arriving players, getting to the venue couldn’t be any easier. Just look for the WPT Korea banner with the bus schedule and hop in once it arrives. It takes approximately one hour to get to the venue. The bus runs daily on a two hour schedule starting at 6am. The last bus to the venue is at 10pm.
