PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series 19 greets 2024 with a PHP 10M (~USD 180K) guaranteed Main Event; Flight A sets off today
A preview of what’s to come for the rest of the year, PokerStars LIVE is kicking off 2024 strong with its 19th Manila Super Series currently running through the 9th at Okada Manila. The eight day series features 21 trophy events boasting a combined festival guarantee of PHP 16,500,000 (~USD 296,860). All eyes however are on the headlining PHP 20,000 (~USD 360) buy-in Main Event where it has since tripled its prize pool to a generous PHP 10,000,000 (~USD 180,000) guarantee.
Last September’s festivities recorded the festival’s richest Main Event to date and welcomed over a thousand runners at the tables. Keeping that in mind, this season’s boosted offerings are likely to record results through the roof in the next few days. This Wednesday, January 3rd marks the beginning of the Main Event festivities with a champion crowned by week’s end, January 7th.

Runners jumping on the Main Event action will see a starting stack of 30,000 to course through 30 minute blind intervals (15 minutes for Flight D Turbo). Each qualifier will play down once more to 15% of the field where all survivors returning to Day 2 will be guaranteed a piece of the pot. The Best Stack Forward format remains in effect with players allowed to qualify multiple times, carrying their largest Day 1 stack through and receiving the minimum payout for their shortest stack. Day 2 is slated to play through longer 40 minute blind levels all the way down to the Final Day.
In addition to the exciting top prize in store, the Main Event champion will also receive a PHP 120,000 APPT Manila Main Event Package (seat and accommodation) taken from the prize pool. The runner up in consolation, will likewise claim a lesser PHP 45,000 entry to the upcoming Manila Megastack Main Event this February.
