When Dan “Jungleman” Cates is involved, you know things are going to get interesting! The two-time WSOP champion and high-stakes legend recently traded the poker table for the boxing ring, making his debut at the newly formed Beverly Hills Fight Club.

While the poker community was eager to see if Cates could deliver a knockout blow, the match ended in a way that left everyone talking.

A High-Stakes Showdown

Facing off against sports betting host Ryan “Elf” Noel, Jungleman entered the ring as a heavy underdog. The crowd at The Maybourne Beverly Hills was packed with fans and celebrities – including social media star Andrew Tate – all waiting to see if the poker pro had the fighting chops to match his card skills.

The first round was competitive, with Noel taking a slight lead. However, the drama truly unfolded in the second round.

The “Cheap Shot” Controversy

Early in the second round, both fighters ended up on the canvas following a tangle. As they stood back up, a moment of confusion regarding the referee’s signal led to a shocking finish. While Cates wasn’t yet in a defensive stance, Noel lunged across the ring and landed a massive haymaker to the side of Jungleman’s head.

The blow left Jungleman bloodied, and with safety as the top priority, the referee immediately called the fight off.

No Winner, Just Bruises

Because the fight ended due to a “questionable” shot during a moment of confusion, it was officially ruled a No Contest. While Noel disputed the ruling, the result stands: no winner was crowned.

The good news? Despite suffering a concussion from the hit, Jungleman reported feeling fine shortly after the match. While it wasn’t the “TKO” victory fans might have hoped for, Cates proved once again that he’s never afraid to step out of his comfort zone.
