Following through on the announcement made in January, the All Japan Poker Circuit (AJPC) has sealed a deal that will extend the brand to Taiwan. According to the recent press release, the AJPC and the Taiwan Poker Club (Chinese Texas Holdem Association) have partnered up to bring in the first-ever Japanese poker brand to Taiwanese soil. This monumental event will take place on June 14 – 18 at the Texas Hold’em Poker Club in New Taipei City.

AJPC CEO Yasuhiro Sasaki stated,

“We are delighted to have entered into a formal partnership with the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association. As a legitimate, recognized poker association in Taiwan, they have been supportive of Taiwanese players and worked hard to grow the recognition of the sport in Taiwan and China. The AJPC looks forward to its first Taiwan event as we continue to expand our brand outside of Japan while offering Japanese players opportunities to play in a circuit for recognition throughout Asia.”

The AJPC is a highly reputable brand in Japan hosting poker events in the country since 2007. One of their main goals is to develop the game of poker for Japanese players and find ways to promote it not just inside Japan but outside of the country as well. Last December, the brand sailed west to Paradise City in Incheon, Korea for their first international affair, the AJPC Asian Circuit. This was to be their first international stop with intentions of many more on the horizon. Taiwan now becomes the second international destination added to that list.

Included in the press release, the AJPC also announced its return to Paradise City, Incheon for its second run in South Korea. This event is expected to attract a large field of 1,000 entries. The games to watch out for are the Main Event with a buy-in of ₩1,100,000 (~USD1,025), the High Roller event with a ₩3,500,000 (~USD3,270) buy-in, and the Super High Rollers at ₩10,000,000 (~USD9,340). Festival date yet to be announced.
