Day 1C brought in 152 entries with 16 players reaching the money round. Malaysia’s Tse Paul Lee 李詩堡 was the bane of several players with his pocket Tens causing plenty of damage.

Well before the bubble round, Lee entered a four way shove that granted him a winning set of Tens to knock out a couple of players and jump to an enormous lead.

Down to three tables, Lee 李詩堡delivered another crushing bad beat with a double gutshot finding the river. Lee 李詩堡opened from under the gun and got called by the blinds. At the flop 9c7hKh, Lee c-bet then tank-called a check-raise by the small blind. The turn Jc, small blind shoved, Lee tanked then said, “l know I’m behind but let’s go for it!” He made the call and showed 10d10c which was behind AhKs. That all changed when the 8s landed to award the straight.

Lee 李詩堡 bagged up 685,000 (69 BB) to place him overall third in chips. Day 1C wrapped up with Michael Kravitz KcKd dominating 10c10d.

Over at the Day 1D turbo flight, 14 advanced out of 133 entries. WSOP Online bracelet winner Aaron Siyang Phua was happy to bag up 808,000 (81 BB) and commented “ahh, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen this many chips”.

One bust before the bubble round, Phua added to his already bloated pile by ending a short stack’s desperation. From the big blind, Phua defended with Jh2h that went on to land trips Twos on the flop to easily defeat AdQh.

The day ended with USA’s Duy Ho delivering the bubble. Also making it through were Singapore’s Jacky Wang 王立傑 who finished 2nd at the Kick Off event, UPoker’s Tse Ian Lee 李詩堡, and Taiwan’s Chia Yun Wu 吳家運.
