The newly introduced WPT Global application recently celebrated its launch with a $100,000 guaranteed Welcome Event to greet its new user base with massive rewards. Carrying a price tag of $110, hundreds of players claimed their seats via the generous promotion of all depositing players being entitled to a ticket. In spite of this however, the opening tournament fell short of its 1000-entry requirement and saw a huge overlay of roughly 40% after the 18 flights in total wrapped up.

Following the festivities, a fresh major event has been added to the budding application’s weekly schedule. The Golden Weekly Tournament with a buy-in of CNY 550 (~USD 82) boasts a guarantee of CNY 688,000 (~USD 100,000) in an attempt to attract more runners to pursue their grinds on the growing platform. Aside from this, a modest daily tournament schedule featuring bounty events in majority is also available with buy-ins ranging from $25 to $550. The biggest prize pool listed is currently at a modest $5,500 with its great value Deepstack Turbo event likewise susceptible to overlays.
