Main Event – Ke Hong Jing

In Won Majestic Hotel in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, Ke Hong Jing from Malaysia has won the very first Won Poker Cup Main Event#2 which guaranteed a prize pool of $500,000, beating a field of 404 entries to take home the Eagle trophy and a 1st place cash prize of $97,100.

Jing was consistently building his stack by being aggressive at the right moments, choosing his spots and his targets carefully. Despite not winning any one big hand, he was chipping away from everyone’s stack, especially those whom he felt were afraid to commit their chips. In his last hand, with an almost 2:1 ratio in chips, he called an all-in from Armon Van Wijk from Australia with Jh 9h and caught the top pair on the turn. Wijk received $61,000 for his efforts in 2nd place.

Despite the intense battle happening on the felt, the final table was very sportsmans-like and had a very friendly atmosphere. Apart from the smiles that were constant, the more experienced players would patiently explain some of the rules to the recreational players. Zou, who came in as chip leader coming into the final table, had a very good disposition even as his chips dwindled. He finished in 3rd place for a cash prize of $43,800.

The Final Table consisted of the following players and cashed out accordingly:
