Jin Bei Cup sets record prize pool for Short Deck Main Event in Asia

 

The inaugural Jin Bei Cup set itself an ambitious US$ 5 Million guarantee for its flagship Short Deck Main Event and have not only met it but surpassed it with a total of 105 buy ins on record and a prize pool of US$ 5,250,000.

Taking place at the Jin Bei Palace in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, the final day had registration open just before the starting buzzer with only five needed to match the enormous prize pool. Ten ponied up the US$ 53,000 buy in making this the richest Short Deck tournament prize pool in Asia, surpassing Triton SHR Vietnam by US$ 350,000.

Listed below are the payouts. The top 12 will earn a cut of the pot with a minimum US$ 113,000 and awaiting the champion is a handsome US$ 1,656,000.
