Jeju International Poker Tour (JIPT) Main Event underway feat KR₩ 600,000,000 (~USD 444K) guaranteee

 

The Jeju International Poker Tour (JIPT) is now underway at Jeju Oriental Hotel & Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea with cards flying on April 7 and running through April 14. The past two days crowned the first three champions, we will have those results for you in our next post.

As the newest poker brand to enter the market, JIPT is organized and hosted by the Korea Hold’em Association. The series is open to everyone, including Korean nationals. A large contingent of Chinese players is expected. Entering Day 3, the floor lights up with the Main Event and its bold KR₩ 600,000,000 (~USD 444,000) guaranteed prize pool. Jeju International Poker Tour – JIPT Main Event

The jewel of the Jeju International Poker Tour – JIPT Main Event runs April 9 to 14, 2024 with buy in of KR₩ 1,700,000 (~USD 1,260). Day 1A first deal was at 12pm with early go-ers enjoying a 50,000 stack (250x the opening blinds). For latecomers, there’s plenty of time to jump in with registration closing at 9:45pm local time. If you miss that window, there are three more entry flights to play out on the following days.

Day 1A: April 9, 2024 at 12pm
Day 1B: April 10, 2024 at 12pm

The Main Event structure is a special one with Day 1A, Day 1B, Day 1C seeing blinds increase at a very liberal 60 minutes. This aim is for players to maintain an average stack of 70-80 big blinds until Day 3. For those that prefer fast action, the Day 1D Turbo blinds crank out every 20 minutes. Registration for each flight is open for the first eight levels.
