In his latest hand, Verbruggen opened to 8,000 from the hijack and both blinds defended. After the flop 6♥ 5♠ 3♦ , Anzhela Vasylenko moved all in from the small blind for 15,000. The big blind folded, and Verbruggen snap-called.

Championship Warm Up Day 1A Underway At WPT Cambodia 2026

The action continues today as the first guaranteed event of WPT Cambodia 2026 gets underway at 11:30 AM local time with the Championship Warm Up. The event carries a $600 buy-in and a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool, offering players a deep and well-structured tournament to kick off the marquee action.

Players begin with a 50,000 starting stack, equivalent to 250 big blinds at Level 1, alongside 40-minute blind levels and 10-minute breaks every two hours. Late registration remains open for 10 levels, closing at the start of Level 10 at approximately 6:00 PM local time.

At WPT Cambodia 2025, the Championship Warm Up proved to be one of the most popular events of the series. With the same buy-in and guarantee, the tournament attracted a massive 527-entry field, building a $274,943 prize pool, nearly double the guarantee. Martin Sedlak claimed the title and $45,578, setting the tone for a strong series that saw him add four more cashes.

The Championship Warm Up features three starting flights. Day 1B begins tomorrow at 11:30 AM, following the same structure as Day 1A, while Day 1C starts at 6:00 PM and will be played in turbo format with 20-minute blind levels.

Each starting flight will play 15 levels, with no money reached on Day 1. All surviving players from Day 1A, Day 1B, and Day 1C will return on Saturday at 11:30 AM for Day 2, where the field will play down to secure spots in the money. Day 2 will conclude once the tournament reaches the final six players, who will then return for Day 3 to crown the champion.
