Ahuja Leads After Bubble Bursts In $3K Mystery Bounty

After 13 hours of play, Day 1 of the $3K Mystery Bounty High Roller finally came to a close, but not before delivering a tense and dramatic bubble-bursting moment that pushed the remaining players into the money. The event drew 67 entries, generating a total prize pool of $178,723, split between $111,723 in the regular prize pool and $67,000 allocated to mystery bounties. At the top of it all sits a $32,400 first-place prize, ensuring plenty of motivation beyond the bounty hunt.

The turning point came late in the night when Ankit Ahuja and Qi Li collided in a hand that instantly reshaped the tournament. Li committed his stack holding a full house, only to see the worst possible outcome as Ahuja revealed rivered quads, eliminating Li as the sole bubble and locking up a payout for the rest of the field. The massive pot vaulted Ahuja into a commanding chip lead and firmly set the tone heading into Day 2.

When the bags finally came out, Ahuja sat comfortably on top with 1,194,000, giving him a strong advantage as mystery bounty play gets underway. Xiaosheng Zheng stayed on his heels after a steady climb throughout the day, finishing with 929,000, while Rishi Mehra rounded out the top three with 890,000 heading into the next stage of the tournament.

Li was dominated preflop but found the dream flop Q♦ 4♦ 3♥ , pairing his queen. Kyaw was left with just three outs, but neither the 7♠ turn nor the 6♠ river provided help. Li doubled up, leaving Kyaw with just 5,000 chips.

Kyaw was eliminated shortly after, and the tournament officially reached bubble time.

$3K Mystery Bounty High Roller Trophy

The $3,000 Mystery Bounty High Roller gets underway today at 12:30 PM local time, setting the stage for another high-stakes battle at WPT Cambodia 2026. Players will start with a deep 100,000 stack and play 40-minute blind levels, beginning at 200/400, allowing plenty of maneuverability before the mystery bounties come into sharp focus. Late registration remains open until just before the start of Level 12, at approximately 8:40 PM.

The event returns after a standout showing at WPT Cambodia 2025, when the tournament drew a massive 177-entry field packed with elite talent from around the world. From that field, 23 players reached the money, but it was Erik Rozhynskyi who once again proved his mastery of the format. Rozhynskyi captured back-to-back Mystery Bounty titles after defeating Australia’s Aaron Lim heads-up, earning $76,000 for the win. He went on to dominate the bounty pool as well, claiming the top two mystery bounties and boosting his total haul to an eye-catching $163,000.

Another name to watch is Kevin Ewald, who finished third in last year’s $3K Mystery Bounty and comes into this event full of momentum after a runner-up finish in yesterday’s Mystery Bounty.
