Within the first two hands of the day, the field has doubled and among the early arrivals are Jungsup Yun, Xiaosheng Zheng, Dongkyu Kim, Robert Kiss, Peter Kiem, Travis Endersby, and Ankit Wadhawan.

Last year's runner-up Joshua McCully from Australia entered not long ago and has not been able yet to run up a profit. He is involved in a heads-up pot with Adrien Berger right now and bets the J♠ 7♠ 4♠ flop for 2,000. Berger check-raises to6,000 and forces out the Aussie.

Also on the table are Peter Kiem, John "Bert" Perry, Kou Vang and Aliaksandr Shylko.

In a three-bet pot to the 7♠ 4♥ 2♣ flop, table big stack Peter Kiem bets and Aliaksandr Shylko calls. Kiem bets the 5♠ turn and calls Shylko's raise to then check the A♦ on the river. Shylko jams for 20,800 and Kiem reluctantly folds.

The Day 1a field is approaching 200 entries and among the latest joiners are Adam Friedman, Thi Bao An Nguyen, Kyosuke Nagami, Luc Ramos, Xianling Chen, Javier Gomez, Remy Murcia, Joris Michl, Naj Ajez, Lander Lijo, Abhinav Iyer, and Dhaval Mudgal to name just a few of the new faces.

Marc Joseph is also in contention as well after making the trip to Cambodia from South Africa. He tangles with early big stack Peter Kiem and they check the T♣ 4♣ 4♥ K♣ turn, Kiem then bets the J♦ river to force out Joseph.
