Rann gains some outs on the T♦ 9♦ 3♥ flop but bricks the 3♠ 5♣ on turn and river.

Sungmin Cho opens to 8,000 and Yakiv Syzghanov calls in the cutoff. James Rann three-bets to 28,000 and Cho folds, while Syzghanov calls. On the A♠ 8♣ 7♥ flop, Syzghanov checks and Rann continues for 18,000. The check-raise to 42,000 follows and that ends the hand right there.

From hijack, Donghyup Kim raises 2500, small blind James Rann goes all in for14,700, big blind Jennifer Cassell smooth-calls and Kim joins for a possible side pot. Both players take it easy and check to the river A♦ 4♦ 5♦ K♦ 4♥ . Kim bets30,000 but no action as Cassell folds.

Rann flips open A♣ Q♦ and say he didn't realize he had a diamond. Kim has J♦ J♣ lower flush for a triple up to the short stack.

After a flop of T♦ 9♦ 7♦ , Ashwani Dewan bets 1,200 from the small blind, James Rann calls from the big blind, and the player in the cutoff also calls.

The turn card is the J♣ , Dewan bets 3,300, Rann calls, and the cutoff folds.

The river card pairs the board with the J♠ , Dewan bets 5,200, and Rann tanks for a while before he folds. Dewan takes the pot.
