The new level is underway and within two fast hands, Hugues Girard falls in 15th place. Before that happens, he shoves 510,000 from the small blind and wins the blinds and ante. On the next hand, he pushes again, and this time Daniel Charlton makes the call.

Daniel Charlton raises under the gun to 80,000, Hugues Girard uses a Time Chip to tank for a while before he reraises from the big blind to 210,000, and Charlton calls.

Both players check to the river on a board of J♥ T♦ 3♥ J♠ 7♥ . Girard checks, Charlton bets 225,000, and Girard uses a Time Chip to tank for a while before he folds. Charlton takes the pot.

Yinghao Zhuo raises to 60,000 and Hugues Girard three-bets to 180,000. It folds back to Zhuo who elects to call and then checks the Q♥ 6♥ 6♦ flop. Girard continues for80,000 but folds when Zhuo check-raises to 180,000.

In the very next hand, Zhuo opens to 60,000 and Ankit Ahuja three-bets to 225,000. Zhuo four-bets to 475,000 and Ahuja uses one time bank extension before he five-bets to 825.000. Zhuo gives up and folds, while Girard jokingly asks for a seat change.

Once the final three tables are set, Aditya Agarwal raises into the blinds and Sho Homma defends. Homma check-calls for 85,000 on the A♣ J♠ 7♦ flop and checks the K♦ turn. Agarwal now bets 225,000 and that wins the pot without further resistance.

Kevin Ewald squeezes to 250,000 preflop and then calls the shove by initial raiser Hugues Girard for 490,000 with the A♠ Q♠ The WPT Prime Paris 2025 champion Girard is ahead with the T♣ T♠ and flips to a double on the 9♦ 2♣ 2♠ 5♥ 5♠ runout.

Kevin Ewald loses a small pot to Hugues Girard when he check-calls the river of a J♠ 9♣ 7♦ K♣ 8♠ river for 50,000 and mucks against the 8♠ of the Frenchman.

Two hands later, he more than makes up for it by sending Michael Gathy to the rail.

They get it in after a 9♦ 5♦ 4♥ flop and Gathy needs a lot of help with the Q♥ 9♥ for top pair, as Ewald is miles ahead holding the 4♣ 4♠ for bottom set. The T♥ turn opens up the flush draw but the 3♦ river is a blank.

With the board showing 8♠ 4♦ 3♥ 2♦ on the turn, Hugues Girard checks from middle position, Yoon Kang bets 225,000 from the hijack, and Girard uses a Time Chip to tank for a while before he calls.

The river card is the 5♣ , Girard checks, and Kang uses a Time Chip to tank for a while before he bets 300,000. Girard thinks for a while before he folds, and Kang takes the pot.

Ankit Ahuja had previously won a healthy pot by betting out Yukako Hiroi. She then jams over the top of the short stack all-in of Shmuel Snir Bechor, who is at risk for 101,000 only.

Kevin Ewald in the blinds happily calls all-in for 717,000 as he has the A♥ A♦

Bechor with the A♣ K♠ and Hiroi with A♠ K♥ need a lot of help. They actually have the chance for an unlikely chop after the J♥ 6♣ 4♠ 3♦ turn but the wheel never completes, instead it is the 9♣ that follows on the river.

After the hand is over, Hiroi asks if she should have just called the first all-in preflop. The answer from several players is yes, but as Michael Gathy points out "you just saved time", referring to the likely call of Ewald's reshove.

Hugues Girard raises and subsequently four-bet jams for 245,000 with the A♠ A♥. He is called by three-bettor Koen Breed with the 9♠ 9♦ and the superior pair holds on a board of J♦ 5♦ 2♠ 7♠ K♥ .

On the river of a A♦ Q♦ J♣ Q♣ Q♠ board, Juyeol Lee check-calls the shove by Hugues Girard for 128,000. Girard shows the Q♥ 9♣ for quads to earn a late boost.

Zapatero Gomez goes all in for his last 35,000 and doesn't get past Hugue Girard who wins the flip. Gomez's A♠ K♣ connects on the board K♣ 8♥ 6♥ T♣ 9♦ however Girard has 7♠ 7♦ for the knockout straight.

A player raises under the gun to 12,000, Yukako Hiroi calls from the cutoff, and Hugues Girard reraises from the button to 42,000. The UTG player folds, and Hiroi calls.

The flop comes K♦ Q♦ T♣ , Hiroi checks, Girard bets 30,000, and Hiroi check-raises to 80,000. Girard thinks for a while before he calls.

The turn card is the A♦ , and both players check.

The river card is the 9♦ , Hiroi bets 100,000, and Girard thinks for a while before he folds. Hiroi takes the pot.

Before their table breaks, Marc Joseph tangles with Sho Homma and they create a pot of nearly 150,000 to the 5♣ 4♥ 2♣ 8♥ 9♥ river. Homma checks and Joseph bets 100,000 with only a few chips behind. The snap fold follows and they head different ways soon after.

Kunal Patni won a big flip with jacks against the ace-king of Joshua McCully, who busts soon after. In the meanwhile, Konstantin Held emerges from his undercover run and nearly doubles the stack he started with so far, now sitting between Hugues Girard and Ngoc Ha Nguyen. The same table has already lost Joris Michl and Dhaval Mudgal.
