Paul Hoefer opens to 4,000 from under the gun and calls a three-bet to 13,000 by Dinesh Alt in the cutoff. They check the 9♦ 8♣ 7♥ flop before Hoefer bets the 8♦ turn for 10,500 and the 2♣ river for 5,500.

Alt calls the first bet swiftly, then mulls over the final decision for half a minute to call. Hoefer rolls over 5♠ 5♥ and Alt takes it down with the K♦ K♠ .
