Day 1 of the WPT Cambodia $20,000 Super High Roller has concluded here at NagaWorld in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. So far the Super High Roller has attracted 34 entrants and that number will continue to grow as late registration remains open for two more levels at the start of tomorrow’s Day 2. Just 12 players remained by the end of the evening.

After 11 40-minute levels Michael Andersson ended the night with the chip lead at 1,850,000. Anderson is most closely followed by Damir Zhugralin (1,337,000) while Chengcai Pen rounds out the top three with 1,227,000.

Day 2 starts tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. local time and will play down to a winner, with late registration and reentries being open for the first two levels of play. Stay tuned to SMP as we bring you all the action from the moment cards are in the air until a winner is crowned.

The 4♠ 6♣ K♣ Q♥ 2♠ runout gave Pan a set of fours to send Mendoza to the rail and win the pot.

Lander Lijo opened to 20,000 from the button, Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 80,000 from the small blind and Lijo called.

The flop came 2♠ K♦ 7♥ and Lijo called a 45,000 continuation bet from Nitsche.

Lijo check-called another bet from Nitsche on the 5♦ turn, this time for 130,000.

On the K♣ river Lijo checked, Nitsche bet 279,500, leaving just 500 behind, and Lijo opted to fold.

Michael Andersson opened to 21,000 from under the gun and received calls from a player in the cutoff and Dominik Nitsche in the big blind.

All three players checked the 9♣ 6♣ 4♠ flop leading to the 2♥ turn. Nitsche checked, Andersson bet 59,000, Nitsche check-raised to 130,000 and Andersson folded.

Lander Lijo opened to 20,000 from the hijack, a player in the cutoff called and Michael Anderrson three-bet to 80,000 from the button. Lijo shoved and both opponents folded.

Masato Yokosawa opened to 23,000 from the cutoff and received calls from Roman Hrabec on the button and a player in the big blind.

All three players checked the A♥ 8♥ T♦ flop leading to the 9♦ turn. The big blind checked, Yokosawa checked and Hrabec bet 55,000. Only Yokosawa called.

Yokosawa check-folded to a 55,000 bet from Hrabec on the 4♠ river.

Nitsche had his Glaser dominated and remained ahead on the J♠ 3♦ 8♥ 4♣ 9♠ runout to send his opponent to the rail and take the pot.

Benny Glaser opened to 20,000 from the cutoff, Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 70,000 from the small blind and Michael Andersson four-bet to 175,000 from the big blind. Both opponents folded and Andersson took the pot.

Pan’s pocket eights stayed ahead on the 2♠ 4♦ 4♥ 5♥ 6♦ runout and he took the pot while Lee exited the tournament area.

Mendoza was ahead with the higher pocket pair and after remaining ahead on the J♦ 6♥ A♦ 7♥ 5♣ runout he doubled up through Zhugralin.

Benny Glaser opened to 18,000 from the hijack and Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 56,000 from the button. Glaser made the call.

The flop came 9♠ 9♣ 6♥ and Glaser check-called a 34,000 bet from Nitsche.

Glaser checked again on the 5♠ turn and Nitsche bet 85,000. Glaser burned through two time banks before folding and Nitsche took the pot.

The A♣ 4♥ 3♥ Q♣ 6♠ runout gave Ajez top pair to double up through Mendoza.

Victor Chong shoved for 14,500 from under the gun, Mike Takayama called from the button, Zapatero Gomez raised to 45,000 from the small blind and Takayama called.

The flop came J♦ 2♦ 6♥ and Takayama called a 32,000 continuation bet from Gomez.

On the 4♣ turn Gomez bet 105,000 and Takayama folded.

Chong was drawing dead against Gomez’ aces and after the K♣ river he made his exit from the tournament area while Gomez took the pot.

Roman Hrabec opened to 16,000 from the button and Dominik Nitsche defended from the big blind.

The flop came T♥ 5♥ 2♣ and Nitsche checked. Hrabec bet 12,000, Nitsche check-raised to 48,000 and Hrabec called.

On the 5♣ turn Nitsche bet 85,000 and this time Hrabec opted to fold.

The Q♥ 4♦ 8♦ 8♠ 6♦ runout gave Lee two pair, eights and fours to double up through Chong.

Victor Chong opened to 16,000 from the cutoff, Zapatero Gomez shoved for 187,500 from the big blind and Chong called with a covering stack to put him at risk.

The Q♠ 5♣ 8♦ 5♦ J♦ runout gave Gomez the nut-flush to double through Chong.

Damir Zhugralin opened to 17,000 from the button and received calls from Roman Hrabec in the small blind and a player in the big blind.

The flop came 3♠ 2♥ T♦ and action checked around to Zhugralin who bet 17,000. Hrabec check-raised to 55,000, the big blind folded and Zhugralin called.

Both players checked the 4♥ turn leading to the J♠ river. Hrabec bet 70,000 and Zhugralin folded.

Lee just had second pair while Takayama had a Broadway straight to double up.

Najeem Ajez limped in from the small blind and Michael Andersson checked from the big blind.

The flop came K♣ K♥ 8♠ and Ajez checked. Andersson bet 8,000, Ajez check-raised to 20,000 and Andersson called.

On the 3♥ turn Ajez bet 24,000 and Andersson called again. Ajez shoved for 86,500 on the 9♠ river and this time it was enough to force a fold from Andersson.

Mike Takayama opened to 17,000 from the button and Zapatero Gomez three-bet to 45,000 from the small blind. Takayama called.

The flop came T♣ 9♣ 4♦ and Gomez bet 26,000

Takayama shoved for around 200,000, Gomez folded and Takayama took the pot.

Ghosh had top pair but was behind Zhugralin’s two pair. Zhugralin remained ahead on the 6♠ and 8♣ runout to eliminate Ghosh and win the pot.

Zapatero Gomez opened to 16,000 from the button and Jyeol Lee called from the small blind.

The flop came K♣ Q♥ 9♠ and Lee checked. Gomez bet 16,000, Lee check-raised to 35,000 and Gomez called.

Both players checked the K♥ turn leading to the 7♦ river. Gomez check-called a 60,000 bet from Lee. Lee was bluffing with A♣ T♣ while Gomez had trips with K♠ T♦ to win the pot.

The 4♣ 3♦ Q♥ J♣ 8♣ runout gave Mendoza a set of fours to eliminate Kamphues and claim the last of his chips.

Victor Chong opened to 16,000 from under the gun and received calls from Yang Liu in the hijack, Chengcai Pan in the cutoff and a player in the big blind.

The flop came Q♦ 4♥ 5♥ and action checked around to Pan who bet 25,000. Only Liu called.

Liu check-called a 40,000 bet from Pan on the 2♦ turn before before players checked the A♦ river. Pan showed second pair with Q♥ T♣ and Liu mucked

Juyeol Lee opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and received calls from Victor Chong on the button and a player in the big blind.

The flop came T♣ K♠ 6♣ and action checked around to Chong who bet 20,000. Only Lee called.

Chong continued for 60,000 on the 4♦ turn and this time Lee opted to fold.

Lars was in great shape with a dominating ace and after remaining ahead on the 3♦ 2♥ 7♥ 6♠ A♥ runout he doubled up through Andersson.

Benny Glaser opened to 16,000 from the button and received calls from Damir Zhugralin in the small blind and a player in the big blind.

The flop came K♣ 6♥ 4♣ and action checked around to Glaser who bet 15,000. Zhugralin check-raised to 65,000, the big blind folded and Glaser called.

Zhugralin checked the 7♥ turn and Glaser bet 90,000. Zhugralin shoved with a covering stack and Glaser used a time bank before folding.

Nitsche held with the higher pocket pair on the Q♣ J♠ 2♣ 9♥ 3♦ runout to send Shylko to the rail and take the pot.

Michael Andersson opened to 15,000 from the button and Josh Mccully three-bet to 70,000 from the big blind. Andersson called.

The flop came A♥ J♥ 5♣ and Mccully fired a 45,000 continuation bet that Andersson called. Mccully checked the 9♥ turn and Andersson bet 105,000. Mccully called again. On the K♠ river Mccully checked, Andersson shoved and Mccully called with his remaining stack of 250,000.

Mccully had two pair with A♠ K♣ but Andersson had the nut-flush with K♥ Q♥ to send Mccully to the rail and take down a colossal pot.

Yokosawa had top pair but was drawing dead to Mccully’s flush. The 5♥ river changed nothing and Mcaully doubled through Yokosawa.

Zhugralin had a dominating ace but Shylko hit his four on the 9♥ 4♠ Q♠ J♥ 5♠ runout to double up.

Kamphues was ahead with his pair of tens and after the Q♠ and 4♥ runout he doubled up through Mendoza.

Lee’s pocket kings held up on the T♠ 9♦ 7♣ 5♠ 4♠ runout and he collected a massive double up at Pan’s expense.

With two players seeing a board of 7♣ J♥ 5♥ 3♦ 8♠ and 74,000 in the middle Dominik Nitsche checked from the big blind and Michael Andersson bet 45,000 from the cutoff. Nitsche check-raised to 204,000 and Andersson called.

Nitsche had a pair with 9♠ 7♠ while Andersson had top pair with J♣ T♣ to take the pot.

Juyeol Lee opened to 12,000 from under the gun and Asish Ghosh three-bet to 35,000 from the small blind. Lee made the call.

The flop came A♠ Q♣ 3♦ and Ghosh fired a 12,000 continuation bet that was called by Lee.

Lee called a 101,500 bet from Ghosh on the 2♣ turn. On the J♠ river Ghosh shoved for 75,000 and Lee called. Lee had top pair with A♦ 9♣ but Ghosh had top pair, top kicker with A♥ K♠ to secure the double up.

Both players had a straight and Deyra was a heavy favorite but the T♥ river improved Yokosawa to a flush to eliminate Deyra and take down a healthy pot.

Roman Hrabec opened to 12,500 from under the gun, Benny Glaser three-bet to 36,000 from the button and Hrabec called.

The flop came A♦ 7♥ 8♠ and Hrabec check-called an 18,000 bet from Glaser.

On the 9♦ turn Hrabec checked, Glaser shoved with a covering stack and Hrabec called.

Glaser was ahead with two pair but the 8♥ river gave Hrabec trips to double up through Glaser.

The 6♦ Q♣ 7♣ A♦ 3♠ runout gave Yokosawa top pair, top kicker to send Bohdanov to the rail, double up and make a serious dent in Kamphues’ stack.

With two players seeing a board of Q♣ A♠ 9♠ 5♥ and 85,000 in the middle Masato Yokosawa checked from the big blind and Michael Andersson bet 60,000 from under the gun. Yokosawa made the call.

On the 8♥ turn Yokosawa checked, Andersson shoved and Yokosawa, who was covered with 147,000 left in his stack, opted to fold.

The rest of the board ran out Q♠ and 2♠ . Bohdanov was good at showdown with a pair of eights and quadrupled up.

Asish Ghosh opened to 11,000 from the button and Juyeol Lee defended from the big blind.

The flop came 4♦ 6♦ 9♥ and Lee check-called a 15,000 bet from Ghosh.

Both players checked the 8♣ turn leading to the T♣ river. Lee bet 17,000 and Ghosh called. Lee tabled a pair of eights with K♦ 8♥ and Ghosh mucked.

With two players seeing a board of A♠ 8♠ 3♠ Q♥ 4♦ and 295,000 in the middle Damir Zhugralin shoved from the big blind and Roman Hrabec, who was on the button with 248,000 and was covered, made the call for his tournament life.

Hrabec had a flush with T♠ 9♠ but Zhugralin had flopped a bigger flush with Q♠ 2♠ to send Hrabec to the rail and take down a sizable pot.

Lars Kamphues opened to 11,000 from under the gun and Ivan Deyra called from the small blind.

The flop came 7♣ 8♥ 3♦ and Deyra check-called a 16,000 bet from Kamphues.

Kamphues bet 40,000 when checked to on the 9♠ turn and this time Deyra opted to fold.

Benny Glaser opened to 11,000 from the hijack, Aliaksandr Shylko three-bet to 44,000 from the small blind and Glaser called.

The flop came Q♠ 7♦ 3♥ and Shylko check-called a 50,000 bet from Glaser.

On the K♠ turn Shylko checked, Glaser shoved for 130,500 and Shylko folded.

The 4♠ Q♠ Q♥ 8♥ J♣ runout gave Ghosh two pair, queens and jacks to send Bohdanov to the rail and take the pot.

Chengcai Pan opened to 10,000 from the button and James Mendoza three-bet to 35,000 from the small blind. Pan made the call.

The flop came J♣ 2♦ 2♣ and Pan folded to a 30,000 continuation bet from Mendoza.

Damir Zhugralin opened to 8,000 from under the gun, Aliaksandr Shylko called from the cutoff and Lander Lijo called from the button.

The flop came 7♠ 4♥ 3♠ and action checked around to Shylko who bet 12,000. Lijo called before Zhugralin check-raised to 60,000. Shylko called and Lijo folded.

Zhugralin checked the A♥ turn and folded to a 40,000 bet from Shylko.

James Mendoza opened to 10,000 from early position and received calls from Hugo Machado in the cutoff and a player in the big blind.

The flop came 6♠ A♠ J♣ and action checked around to Mendoza who bet 12,000. Only Machado called. Machado continued for 45,000 when checked to on the 5♥ turn. Mendoza check-raised to 110,000 and Machado called.

On the 3♣ river Mendoza shoved for 118,000 and Machado called with a covering stack. Machado had two pair with A♣ 5♣ but Mendoza had a set with J♠ J♥ to score the double up.

Renat Bohdanov opened to 8,000 from the button and Artem Vezhenkov shoved for 44,000 from the small blind. Bohdanov made the call with a covering stack.

Bohdanov was ahead with pocket jacks but the 7♦ K♣ 9♣ 5♦ A♥ runout gave Vezhenkov top pair on the river to double up.

Zhugralin’s pocket jacks held up on the 6♥ 8♦ 4♣ 7♣ 2♥ runout and he secured a colossal double up through Vezhenkov.

Roman Hrabec opened to 9,000 from the button and Aliaksandr Shylko defended from the big blind.

The flop came 2♣ K♥ 4♥ and Shylko checked. Hrabec bet 6,000, Shylko check-raised to 27,000 and Hrabec called.

Both players checked the 9♣ turn leading to the J♣ river. Shylko bet 48,000 and Hrabec called. Shylko had two pair with K♣ 9♠ but Hrabec had rivered a set with J♠ J♥ to win the pot.

Ghosh remained ahead with the best possible starting hand on the 8♥ 6♠ 8♠ K♦ 4♣ runout to eliminate Neilson and take the pot.

Machado made two pair on the river when the board ran out 8♠ 9♣ 3♠ 9♥ K♦ to send Arrocha to the rail and take down another sizable pot.

Nitsche’s jacks remained ahead on the K♦ 9♣ 6♠ 5♥ T♥ runout and he doubled up through Andersson.

Daniel Neilson opened to 6,500 from under the gun and Renat Bohdanov defended from the big blind.

The flop came Q♠ 9♦ 3♦ and Bohdanov check-called a 19,000 bet from Neilson.

Bohdanov led out with a 17,000 bet on the 8♥ turn and Neilson folded.

Asish Ghosh opened to 12,700 from under the gun, Renat Bohdanov shoved for 56,500 from the hijack, Daniel Neilson shoved with a covering stack from the cutoff and Ghost got out of the way.

Both players checked the A♣ turn and 3♣ river. Lee had a missed gutshost with K♣ T♦ while Pan was good at showdown with 9♠ 9♦ to win the pot.

Short stacked Tobias Schwecht was eliminated by Artem Vezhenkov.

With two players seeing a board of 4♦ 2♥ 8♠ 7♥ and 52,000 in the middle Renat Bohdanov bet 18,000 from the big blind and Michael Andersson called from the button.

Bohdanov checked the T♦ river and folded to a 75,000 bet from Andersson.

With two players seeing a board of 4♥ A♠ 5♥ 4♣ 2♣ and 42,500 in the middle Juyeol Lee bet 24,000 from the small blind and Chengcai Pan called from early position.

Chengcai Pan opened to 6,000 from under the gun and received three callers including Thomas Boivin in the small blind and Mario Arrocha in the big blind.

The flop came 3♣ 2♣ T♥ and all four players checked leading to the 5♥ turn. Boivin bet 13,500 and only Arrocha called.

The two remaining players checked the 9♦ river. Boivin showed K♥ 4♥ for a missed flush draw while Arrocha had a pair of fives with 6♦ 5♦ to win the pot.

Roman Hrabec opened to 7,000 from the cutoff, Hugo Machado three-bet to 24,000 from the button, Juyeol Lee cfour-bet to 75,000 from the small blind and both opponents folded.

The K♦ 5♥ 9♣ J♠ 6♥ runout gave Andersson top pair but Bohdanov had two pair to score the double up.

With two players seeing a board of T♦ 4♥ 2♠ T♠ 7♦ and 76,000 in the middle Hugo Machado shoved with a covering stack from the big blind and Michael Gathy called from the button.

Gathy had trips with T♥ 8♥ but Machado had A♣ T♣ for trips with a better kicker to score the first knockout of the day.

Tobias Schwecht opened to 6,000 on the button, Lander Lijo three-bet to 25,000 from the big blind and Schwecht called.

The flop came 8♠ 3♣ K♥ and Lijo fired a 14,000 continuation bet that Schwecht called.

Lijo continued for 21,000 on the J♠ turn and this time Schwecht opted to fold.

Renat Bohdanov opened to 5,500 from the cutoff and Daniel Neilson three-bet to 17,000 from the button. Bohdanov four-bet to 40,000 and Neilson shoved with a covering stack. Bohdanov folded leaving 102,000 behind and Neilson took the pot.

On the 7♠ turn Bohdanov checked, Neilson bet 22,500 and Bohdanov folded.

With two players seeing a board of 2♦ 3♣ K♥ 6♠ and 22,500 in the middle Asish Ghosh bet 10,500 from the small blind and Renat Bohdanov three-bet to 35,000 from the big blind. Asish made the call and both players checked the J♦ river.

Asish showed top pair with K♦ 8♣ and Bohdanov mucked.

Michael Gathy opened to 5,500 from under the gun, Roman Hrabec three-bet to 17,000 from early position and Chengcai Pan four-bet to 50,000 from the big blind. Both Gathy and Hrabec folded and Pan took the pot without showdown.

Juyeol Lee opened to 6,000 from early position and Mario Arrocha three-bet to 25,000 from the hijack. Lee made the call.

The flop came 5♥ T♦ 9♠ and Lee check-called an 18,000 bet from Arrocha.

Both players checked the 4♣ turn leading to the T♠ river. Lee shoved for 165,500 and Arrocha folded.

Hugo Machado opened to 4,000 from early position, Thomas Boivin three-bet to 17,000 from the hijack and Machado called.

The flop came 4♣ 9♥ 9♦ and Machado check-called a 17,000 bet from Boivin.

On the 6♥ turn Machado checked and Boivin bet 55,000. Machado used a time bank before folding and Boivin took the pot without showdown.
