Calvin Tan emerged victorious in this season's WPT Seniors Championship after overcoming a modest field of 40 entries, earning him $3,355 in cashes. A deal was set in place once the player pool narrowed down to three remaining, with the top three payouts shared evenly amongst Harry Cheatman and Neil Davidson.
Tan kicked off the final round middle of the pack and overtook the lead after eliminating both Rudolf Fourie (4th) and Michael Wood (5th) in quick succession. Play was halted following the bust, with Tan claiming the victory along with the coveted WPT trophy for his chip advantage.

This WPT season is embracing inclusivity with the addition of the Seniors Championship, a highlight of the 19-day festivities. Exclusively for players aged 50 and older, this event offers seasoned veterans a chance to showcase their skills and compete for a coveted WPT title.
With a buy-in of $300, participants begin with a starting stack of 15,000, 150 times the opening blinds, providing ample room for play. Twenty five minute levels are set on the clock, and will only come to a halt once a winner is crowned.
Action kicks off at 11:30 am local time with registration remaining open through Level 7 @14:10. Remember to bring your IDs, as proper identification will be required during registration to ensure eligibility.
