A massive stack is in front of Kimsour Kong while Siarhei Chudapal was replaced by Xiaosheng Zheng. The latter calls Kong's raise to 11,000 and check-calls for 9,000 on the 9♠ 3♠ 2♠ flop. They check down the 7♠ 8♥ river for Kong to show A♥ 9♣ , which Zheng has beat with the 8♠ 6♥ .

A short-stacked Sertac Turker is all-in holding the J♣ T♦ and Siarhei Chudapal looks him up with the A♠ Q♦ . The A♥ Q♥ T♣ 6♥ 5♠ board sends the 2013 WPT National Cyprus winner to the rail in the late stages of Day 1a.

Sertac Turker raises to 8,000 and Siarhei Chudapal calls on the button. Joshua McSwiney then jams for 143,000 and Turker goes all-in over the top to force out Chudapal.

McSwiney is at risk with the J♦ T♦ and has a mountain to climb versus K♥ K♣ .

On the K♦ T♥ 9♦ flop, McSwiney says "okay, more of this," as he picks up a gutshot and flush draw. The J♣ turn is a blank but the A♦ river comes to the rescue.

One hand later, Turker gets the last 19,000 in with K♦ 9♦ and big stack Kimsour Kong calls from the big blind with 4♥ 3♥ . There is no upset this time on the A♠ 8♦ 5♣ T♣ runout.

Perfect timing for Siarhei Chudapal as he picks up A♣ A♠ and goes down the board for all of his chips with a player holding A♥ K♣ . Slight scare on the turn board doesn't pan out for big slick 5♣ 7♥ J♥ Q♦ 9♦ , aces still hold for a double up.

The cards of Shmuel Rechor are already in the muck and he pays off a double to Siarhei Chudapal to be left with a very short stack. On a board of 8♥ 6♥ 2♦ 9♦ 5♦ , Chudapal's T♣ T♥ for an overpair secures the double worth 26,700.
