Day 1A came to an end with 42 players remaining, and the big stack belongs to Raffaele Sorrentino, who bagged 970,000 (97 big blinds).

Action ended with 7:55 remaining in Level 17, with blinds at 5,000-10,000 and a10,000 ante. Day 2 will roll the blinds back to the earliest point where a starting flight finished.

Official chip counts for the 42 survivors will be released by the casino later tonight, and they will be returning on Monday at 11:30 pm for Day 2, where everyone will start play in the money.

There will be two more starting flights over the next two days, with Day 1B beginning tomorrow at 11:30 am, and Day 1C beginning on Sunday at 11:30 am.

A scan of the field during the break turned up nine players with at least 450K in chips, creating an unofficial leaderboard:

Brian Green raises from under the gun and Alex Tchong three-bets to 32,000, then picks up a call by Green only. On the 9♥ 8♣ 3♣ flop, Green checks and Tchong continues for 20,000. The check-raise to 50,000 follows and Tchong folds.

Green rakes in the pot and currently competes against Kimsour Kong for the top of the leaderboard.

Leo Soma raises to 8,000 and Nikolai Guliaev calls from two seats over, all other players fold. On the Q♥ T♣ 2♥ flop, Soma checks and Guliaev wins the pot with a bet of 12,000.

The same table also features Brian Green and Jun Li, the latter of which reached the final table in the 2024 WPT Prime Taiwan Main Event.

After Xianling Chen's 2200 raise is called, Brian Green takes charge at the flop A♥ T♥ 7♦ with a 4000 bet. This loses one player while Chen wants to see the turn 5 . Green continues with a larger 9000 bet, Chen gives it a thought then opts to fold.
