On flop J♦ T♥ T♠ , Verbruggen continued for 3,000, called firstly by Josip Simunic. Choi on the other hand, went for a 16,000 check raise, and saw only Simunic complete.

Both checked turn 2♠ through to river 8♠ , where Simunic led 8,000. Choi made it 23,500, giving Simunic a chance to escape.
