The last tournament at WPT Korea 2024 wrapped up with Thomas Boivin bagging the WPT High Roller title after defeating American pro Stanley Weng in heads up play. Boivin kicked off the final games with a healthy stack and started the final duel with a 2:1 advantage. Once with the lead, Boivin did not relinquish his advantage and secured the victory all the way to the end, taking with him the KRW 218,520,000 top payout, trophy, as well as a WPT High Roller Ring.

Button Stanley Weng opened to 400,000 with K♥ Q♦ and saw Thomas Boivin shove all-in with A♣ K♦ . Weng called off for his 3,900,000 stack and banked a runner up finish after the board 3♠ 9♠ 2♦ 4♥ 5♣ sealed his fate.

Button Thomas Boivin limped in with A♦ 9♦ and called big blind Stanley Weng’s 2,300,000 all-in with K♦ 5♠ . At risk, Weng outflopped his opponent, landing top pair on K♣ J♥ 3♣ 9♠ 7♦ to survive through.

Button Zhou Quan open shoved for 1,300,000 with Q♦ J♥ and was called by Thomas Boivin with 6♦ 6♠ . Flipping for his tournament life, Zhou headed for the rails after the board 5♣ J♣ 3♦ 4♦ 7♣ ran a one card straight for his opponent.

Small blind Thomas Boivin limp called a 180,000 raise with A♣ 8♠ against big blind Stanley Weng. Both players checked flop A♦ 7♠ 9♣ through, peeling turn 3♥ . Weng fired a 370,000 bet, check called by his opponent. On river K♣ , Weng barreled a hefty 1,000,000, called by Boivin. Weng reveals two pair once more for the win.

Utg Thomas Boivin defended his 5♠ 6♠ open and called a 270,000 three bet from small blind Noda Hiroyuki with K♥ 9♦ . On flop 8♠ 6♣ K♦ , Noda continued for 175,000, called by his opponent. Turn 7♠ went check check, revealing river 5♦ . Noda led for 1,400,000 and Boivin folds his two pair.

Facing an utg open, button Thomas Boivin fired a three bet to 180,000 with K♥ K♠ and saw big blind Daniel Lee move all-in for 980,000 with A♣ K♦ . Boivin puts in the call and scoops it up after the board 3♠ 9♥ T♠ K♣ Q♣ felted no aces.

Utg+1 opened and saw hijack Yang Peng fire a three bet to 165,000 with K♦ K♠ . Cutoff Thomas Boivin bumped it up to 330,000 with A♦ A♣ and called Yang’s 1,300,000 jam. A cooler situation, the board T♥ 9♠ K♥ A♥ 8♦ landed Boivin a higher set to bag the win.

Utg Valeriy Pak opened to 60,000 with K♠ Q♦ , called by Thomas Boivin behind with 5♦ 5♣ . Flop came 2♦ 3♦ Q♠ and saw Pak check call 45,000. Boivin barreled another 125,000 on turn T♦ and checked down the river 3♥ after Pak put in another call. Pak claims the pot with top pair, crushing Boivin’s fives.

Utg Zhu Jiahao opened to 220,000, called by both small blind Zhou Quan and big blind Thomas Boivin. On flop 7♥ A♠ 9♥ , Zhou led for 90,000, called by Boivin. Zhu tank folds, saving his 1 BB behind. Turn J♦ and river 9♣ was checked through, revealing Zhou’s A♦ 8♦ and Boivin’s A♥ T♠ for a split pot.

Button Thomas Boivin opened to 40,000 and called off small blind Lin Wenguo’s 500,000 all-in with 9♥ 9♠ . Lin is behind with 6♠ 6♣ and crashed after the board Q♣ 3♥ 8♣ T♦ 3♠ spared no sixes.
