Today's final table welcomed the return of the final nine contenders out of a 59-entry field, with Hoang starting the day in the lead. His relentless aggression kept him firmly in control, dictating the pace from start to finish .As the field narrowed, Hoang continuously extended his lead, eventually securing him a seat in heads-up play with a commanding advantage.

It took a mere three hands in the final duel for Hoang to seal the victory, skillfully eliminating his last opponent in swift fashion. Hoang went with his gut and rose to the challenge with bottom pair, landing him the title in style once the cards were turned over.

It took only three deals for Hoang Hai Nam to bring the W High Roller to a swift and decisive close, eliminating his final opponent to secure the title, along with the coveted W Ring and $78,681 top prize.

In the final hand, Hoang limped on the button and called a 750,000 raise from Craig Jones on the big blind. Jones decided to follow through the agression with a check raise to 2,200,000 on flop 2♥ 7♦ 5♥ . Hoang stood his ground and moved all-in, leaving Jones committed to his play with Q♦ 8♦ .

Hoang ahead with bottom pair K♣ 5♦ , further improved on runout K♥ 6♣ , securing him the overall win while Jones was left to settle for a runner up finish.

Only two players remain on the hunt for this season's W High Roller title and $78,681 top prize. While both are already guaranteed a sizeable cash, only one will walk away with the exclusive W Ring.

Chip Counts

Craig Jones opened on the button and was eager to get in the rest as chip leader Hoang Hai Nam raised all-in.

Jones, with the best hand in the deck, was poised for a double up but failed to clutch one as board 4♠ Q♥ T♠ K♥ J♦ ran both players a straight, saving Hoang from a potentially great loss.

Hoang Hai Nam currently stacks over half the chips in play following a series of preflop raises and no callers up to the test. The Vietnamese' commanding lead is undeniable, keeping him in prime position to seal the victory.

David Erquiaga opened 200,000 from utg and was joined by chip leader Hoang Hai Nam on the small blind.

On flop J♣ 7♣ T♣ , Hoang checked to Erquiaga, who wasted no time moving all-in for his last 1,450,000. Hoang took a minute before making the call with top pair K♠ J♠ , only to find himself behind Erquiaga's overpair Q♦ Q♥ .

Lucky for Hoang, the turn K♣ was enough to turn the tables in his favor as the river 4♥ sealed Erquiaga's fate in 8th place.

A limp pot blind vs blind saw Hoang Hai Nam test the waters with a 1 BB bet on flop 3♥ Q♥ 6♣ . Mr. Fendy called behind, and continued to stand his ground as Hoang fired another 160,000 on turn T♦ . Hoang finally slowed down on river 4♣ , allowing Mr. Fendy to take it to showdown.

Hoang showed K♣ 2♦ , no good against Mr. Fendy's two pair A♣ 4♦ .

Hoang Hai Nam opened on the cutoff and was priced in to call David Erquiaga's 520,000 all-in from the small blind.

Erquiaga, in search of a double up, bagged one as his ladies held up on board 5♥ 7♦ 8♥ 6♣ 5♣ .

With a pot brewing between Hoang Hai Nam and Conor Grimsley on the big blind on board T♠ 6♥ 8♣ J♣ , Hoang decided to pad the pot even further with a hefty 300,000 turn bet.

Grimsley check called onto river A♠ and was put in a tough spot as Hoang went for a final 850,000. Grimsley used up all his six time banks before throwing in the call, only to muck as Hoang revealed flopped straight 9♥ 7♥ for the win.

Hoang Hai Nam opened 85,000 utg+1, joined by Mr. Fendy right behind along with Phan Huu Minh Tri on the big blind.

Three way action on flop Q♣ 9♠ 4♦ began with a check from Phan, followed with a 100,000 cbet from Hoang. Mr. Fendy called while Phan on the other hand, bumped it up to 325,000.

Only Hoang completed, revealing turn 4♠ . Phan checked to his opponent, in hopes of a free pass yet surrendered as Hoang elected to bet 400,000.

Phan Huu Minh Tri opened 90,000 and shelled out 140,000 more following a raise from Hoang Hai Nam behind.

On flop 9♦ 5♣ J♠ , Phan check called a 155,000 cbet from the aggressor, yet surrendered as Hoang continued for another 425,000 on turn 7♥ .

Conor Grimsley opened on the cutoff and was met with a 210,000 three bet from Hoang Hai Nam right behind. Grimsley, standing his ground, padded it further to 500,000, more than enough to get Hoang to lay it down.

The Won Poker Cup III – W High Roller resumes today at 12pm at the Won Majestic Casino, with 9 players left in contention for the title and the $78,681 top prize. Each one is guaranteed at least $8,000.

Leading the star-studded lineup is Vietnam's Hoang Hai Nam with 65 bb. Not too far behind is recent APPT Cambodia National champion Fabian Rolli with 52 bb. Armon Van Wijk will also be one to watch for having had plenty of success at WPC in the past. Wijk enters with 36 bb.
