Japan’s Sumire Hori Seizes Flight B Chip Lead

Flight B of the JPY 100,000 Main Event at USOP Osaka 2025 has officially wrapped up inside the Dojima River Forum.
Building on the momentum from the morning’s opening flight, Flight B attracted 239 entries, bringing the total turnout to 539 across the day. After twelve 40-minute levels, 47 players survived to bag their stacks.
With late registration still open until the start of Day 2, the field is expected to grow further as three more opening flights get underway tomorrow.
Topping the Flight B leaderboard is Japan’s Sumire Hori, who closed the night with a commanding stack of 650,000. The Japanese pro showed remarkable resilience late in the day, climbing back from around 300,000 in Level 8 before ultimately seizing the chip lead by the end of play.
Chasing close behind is Japan's Mike, who bagged 555,000 in chips, while T3T rounds out the top three with 522,000 chips.

The clock was paused as the floor announced the final five hands of Main Event Flight B.
Dio Survives with River Ace

Dio open-shoved for 52,000 from under the gun and was put at risk by Mike from the small blind.
Dio: A♥ Q♣
Mike: 6♣ 6♦
Dio was on the edge of elimination but still had plenty of outs against Mike’s pocket sixes. The flop landed 5♠ 8♣ 2♥, keeping Mike ahead and eyeing a knockout in the final level of the day.
The turn brought the 5♣, pairing the board and leaving Dio still looking to spike an ace or queen for survival.
Asked, you should receive. The river peeled off the A♣, giving Dio top pair, a crucial double-up, and fresh life in the tournament.
Highest Heart Wins

Mike raised to 3,000 from under the gun which was called by Naoki Kubota one seat to his left. Dio then three-bet to 6,000 from middle position, then faced an 11,000 four-bet from Horis in the hijack, which was called by button Yuxin Niu and the rest of the players, and they went five-ways to the flop.
All players checked through the entirety of the Q♥ 4♠ 4♥ K♥ 7♥ runout, with Mike asking for the highest flush at showdown, revealing he had the 6♥. Kubota showed his 9♥ and ultimately took down the modest pot during the penultimate level of the event.

Iida Forced to Fold on the River
Iida opened the button to 6,000 and received calls from the blinds, Mochi and Mii.
The blinds checked the T♣ 5♣ T♥ flop to Iida, who continued for 7,000, which only Mochi tagged along.
It went check-check on the 4♣ turn, and the river carried out the board-pairing 5♥. Mochi then sent a bet of 18,500. It was good for the pot as Iida threw his cards into the muck.
Niu Catches Dio's Bluff

Dio opened the button to 4,000 and Yuxin Niu defended his big blind.
The two checked through the 2♥ 5♥ 7♣ flop to see a K♠ land on the turn, where Niu checked to Dio, who led out for 4,000. Niu called.
When a 4♣ filled out the board, Niu checked again. Dio sent another barrel of 17,000, sending Niu into the tank. After mulling it over, Niu eventually opted to call.
Dio flipped over T♠ 6♠ for ten-high, while Niu turned A♦ J♥ for ace-high and raked in the pot.
Kim's Jack Secures the Pot

Gun Young Kim made it 4,500 to go from middle position and got himself two callers from the blinds: Iida and Karl Dias.
Three players checked through the J♠ K♦ T♦ flop to see a 6♦ fall on the turn, where Iida checked. Dias led out for 4,000, which both of his opponents called.
When a board-pairing 6♥ hit on the river, the trio checked to a free showdown. After seeing Iida table Q♦ T♥ for a flopped pair of tens, Kim revealed a stronger flopped pair of jacks with A♦ J♥ and took down the pot. Dias mucked his cards.

Jiro's Lady Holds
With around 10,000 chips in the pot, a flop came 2♦ J♣ 5♥, and Gy led out for 2,500 from the big blind. Jiro called from middle position.
Both players checked through the runout of 5♦ 9♠.
Gy quickly revealed A♥ 4♦ for ace-high, while Jiro also tabled ace-high with A♣ Q♦ and took down the pot.
T3T Forces Tang to Fold

Shihhesien Tang limped in from the small blind and T3T checked over in the big blind.
A flop went 6♠ 9♦ K♣ and it went check-check. The turn brought a Q♠, where Tang checked to T3T, who sent a bet of 3,500. Tang dropped in the call.
When the 2♣ filled out the board, Tang checked over again. T3T fired another barrel of 5,500. Tang let go of his cards.

Zheng Bombs the Flop, Takes Down Four-Way

Taku opened to 2,000 from under the gun and picked up three callers: Zhiyang Zheng in the hijack, Takuya on the button, and Mamu in the big blind, sending the action four-ways to the flop.
The flop came 6♥ 6♣ 7♦ and action checked around to Takuya, who fired 5,000 into the middle. Mamu called, but Taku folded. Zheng then slid a massive 24,000 overbet into the pot. The pressure proved too much, as neither Takuya nor Mamu could call, and both tossed their hands to the muck.

Horis' Five Gets Job Done

Horis opened to 2,800 from the hijack and Daon Kang defended her the big blind.
Both players checked throughout the 8♠ 9♦ Q♣ 5♣ 7♠ board.
Kang tabled J♥ 3♥ for jack-high, while Horis revealed K♦ 5♦ for a turned pair of fives and took down the pot.

Doh's River Fires Works

Kese opened the hijack to 2,300 and Yuho Doh defended his big blind.
Doh check-called a continuation-bet of 2,000 from Kese on the K♦ 5♥ 9♦ flop.
It went check-check when a 6♦ landed on the turn. Doh then sent a bet of 6,000 on the 3♦ river, prompting a snap-fold from Kese.
Yu Sails Oosawa Out

Oosawa opened the button to 2,000 and Seungmin Yu three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind. Oosawa then four-bet shoved for around 80,000. Yu snap-called to put his opponent at risk.

Oosawa picked up the lead with his ladies and still maintained the lead on the T♣ 4♦ 2♦ flop, while Yu got a pair of tens.
The turn brought the T♥, improving Yu to trip tens and flipping the momentum his way. The river sealed Oosawa's fate with the K♠, giving Yu a full house and eliminating Oosawa from the field.

Kawahira made it 2,000 to go from the cutoff, only to be jammed by Ryuto for 13,300 in the big blind. Kawahira snap-called to put his opponent at risk.

Ryuto picked up the lead with pocket fives and held control on the 3♣ J♠ K♣ flop. An 8♦ hit on the turn, while Kawahira was still looking to spike an ace or seven to collect one elimination.
The river brought the 5♣, giving Ryuto a set and a much-needed double-up.
Kojitan Turns a Boat and Collects One-Street Value

Kojitan made it 1,200 to go from middle position and Saibou three-bet to 2,500 from the hijack. Kojitan called.
Both players checked through on the 7♣ 6♦ 7♥ flop to see a board-pairing 6♠ fall on the turn, where Kojitan checked and Saibou led out for 5,000. Kojitan check-called.
When a 2♠ filled out the board, it went check-check. Kojitan quickly revealed 7♦ 4♦ for a full house and took down the pot.
Huang's Big Slick Pay for Kang's Double-Up

With a pile of chips in the middle, Jinyoung Kang shoved all in for around 33,000 and was put at risk by Casper Huang from the small blind.

It was a classic coin flip, and Kang had chances to stay alive. The dealer revealed a clean board of 3♦ 7♠ 9♣ 2♠ 6♦, locking up a much-needed double-up for Kang.

Kyaruma Goes Aggressive with Bullets

Kyaruma made it 1,000 to go from the hijak, and Taka three-bet to 2,500 in the cutoff. Kyaruma then four-bet 6,000, which didn't deter Taka from making the call.
Both players checked through the Q♣ 2♠ 2♦ flop to see a 7♠ fall on the turn, where Kyaruma led out for 5,500. Taka stuck around.
When a 6♣ filled out the board, Kyaruma sent another barrel of 13,500. Taka tossed his cards into the muck. Before returning his cards, Kyaruma was friendly enough to reveal his strong holding A♥ A♣.
Machiru Shows the Table
Shino raised to 800 from late position and was called by button Machiru, small blind KRKR and big blind Maharo, and they headed four-ways to the flop.
Action was checked through the 2♥ 6♣ Q♣ flop to the 5♣ turn. all other players check-folded when Machiru slid 2,000 into the middle, not before revealing he had turned a flush by showing 7♣ 9♣ to the table.

Flight B Opens at 5 PM, Expanding the Field of Opportunities
Flight B of the USOP Osaka Main Event kicks off at 17:00 local time, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of 77M.
Players begin with a 50,000 starting stack, starting blinds at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. The schedule runs twelve 40-minute levels, with 10-minute breaks after every three levels to help contenders reset in this high-pressure minefield.
Late registration remains open until the start of Day 2, giving plenty of time for hopefuls to join this premier event.
