Day 1D of the Main Event drew a massive 498 entries (321 unique), eclipsing previous flights and bringing the total field to 1,564 entries, with just 197 advancing to Day 2. After thirteen hours of intense play inside the Grand Vista Hotel today, just 63 players survived to secure a guaranteed cash, led by Yong Li of China.

Li bagged the second-largest stack of the series so far, trailing only Day 1A leader Van Quoc Vo. With over $320,000 in live earnings, the Chinese regular has become a familiar face on the Asian circuit, boasting multiple final-table finishes this year alone - including a runner-up in Jeju’s Hyper Turbo High Roller and a fifth-place run in the Red Dragon Prestige High Roller.

His path to the top wasn’t without drama. Earlier in the day, Li picked up a sizeable pot after cracking Amit Kaushik’s top pair in a four-way all-in, not long after he found himself on the receiving end of a three-round penalty for exposing his cards mid-tank. The setback barely slowed him down, however, as he rebuilt quickly and maintained steady momentum through to the finish.

The money bubble burst in memorable fashion. After an earlier soft-bubble knockout, Giang Dinh Truong got the last of his 35,000 chips in from under the gun holding pocket sevens, and Jan Peter Eikholt called with kings. The board ran 3♥ 6♣ 9♦ 4♦ A♠, sending Truong out as the official bubble boy and locking in the remaining 63 players for a Day 2 payday.

After an intense soft bubble elimination the hand prior, Giang Dinh Truong got his short stack - just 35,000 chips - in from under the gun, and Jan Peter Eikholt called looking to burst the Day 1d bubble. The crowd gathered and the floor instructed them to reveal their hands:

The room was ecstatic as the anticipation built before the board was ran out.

There were calls for a seven, but the dealer didn't answer them, spreading 3♥ 6♣ 9♦ 4♦ A♠ to send Truong home as the official bubble boy, securing the remaining 63 players a cash.

With 65 players left in the field, play is now hand-for-hand until the bubble bursts, with only 63 players qualifying for Day 2 tomorrow.

Only three more players need to bust before we wrap up for the day! Hand-for-hand play will begin when 65 players remain.

Thanh Trung Nguyen opened to 35,000, getting a call from Yong Li on the button and a defense from Tran Duc Tuan in the big blind.

On the flop K♠ T♠ 2♥ , Tuan checked, and Nguyen continued with a 50,000 bet. Li quickly folded, but Tuan responded by shoving all in for 151,000.

Nguyen didn’t take long, he snap-folded then revealed his hand Q♦ Q♣ . A disciplined laydown, but a tough one to make with such a big pair.

The 8♣ K♣ 3♣ Q♣ T♥ runout secured the double for Chan. "Chop!" was joked at the table after the board was completed.

Chengshan Wu opened the action, then called the 3-bet to 50,000 from Yuequan Jia. On the flop 7♣ 6♣ 3♣ , Wu checked, and Jia continued with a 50,000 c-bet. Wu came back strong with a raise to 150,000, putting Jia to the test.

Without hesitation, Jia moved all in for 435,000, sending Wu deep into the tank. After burning through all his time banks, Wu eventually folded.

Jia then flipped over his hand A♣ A♥ showing pure confidence, as he dragged in the massive pot, proving he’s not afraid to put maximum pressure on his opponents.

Kim Long Lam opened to 16,000 from middle position and received a call from hijack Nguyen Van Vuong.

Lam led for 12,000 on the 2♥ 9♦ K♦ flop, but Vuong raised to 30,000. After a brief pause to consider his options, Lam decided to let it go.

Vuong flashed a lone king before sliding his cards back to the dealer.

Action folded to the button where Viet Tien Nguyen opened to 20,000. From the small blind, Bing Li shoved his stack for 135,000, and Nguyen went deep into the tank before eventually making the call.

Li was well ahead and only needed to fade a six. The flop K♣ 7♦ 3♥ and turn 4♥ ran clean and just as the dealer prepared to reveal the river, Nguyen shouted, “Five!”

The poker gods must’ve been listening, the five hit the river 5♥ , completing Nguyen’s straight! The table erupted as Nguyen snatched the pot in dramatic fashion, while Li could only shake his head in disbelief.

The Thanh Hoang moved all in for around 70,000 from middle position and was called by big blind Nikoloas Kiourntzidis with the covering stack:

Hoang rose from his seat after seeing Kiourntzidis’ hand, but the K♦ 2♥ 5♥ flop gave him top pair and a fighting chance - he simply needed to dodge a heart to stay alive. The 9♦ 4♣ completed the board safely, and he sat back down in relief.

“I’m back in the game!” he exclaimed.

Players are now on a 10-minute break.

Action folded to the button where Kai Li opened to 15,000, and big blind Quang Tuan Dinh responded with a raise to 40,000. Li didn’t back down then he shoved all in for 143,000.

Dinh went into the tank, burned a time bank, and eventually made an unsure call.

The table let out a “woah” when the cards were revealed, Li was dominated and in rough shape. The board T♥ 4♥ 5♠ 6♠ 3♥ offered no help, and Kai Li was eliminated, while Dinh collected a solid pot.

Action folded to the button where Anh Tuan Trinh opened to 12,000, and Yihao Jiang defended his big blind.

Trinh continued for 7,000 on the flop 4♣ 2♣ 2♠ and fired again for 15,000 on the turn 9♣ , both streets were check-called by Jiang.

When the river J♣ brought a possible one-card flush, Jiang led out with a bold 50,000 bet. After taking some time in the tank, Trinh decided to lay it down, giving Jiang the pot with a well-timed river donk bet.

Action was joined in a four-way pot on a flop showing 8♥ 6♣ 6♥. Amit Kaushik shoved for his 112,000-chip stack and was facing action from cutoff Yong Li, as well as blinds Duc Tuan Tran and The Dan Chu.

Li re-shoved for around 200,000, leaving Tran with a decision. He used a couple of timebanks before eventually folding, but not before showing his cards to the player beside him. The dealer exposed his hand for violating the rules, revealing seven-six offsuit - a straight draw that didn’t quite make the cut. Chu folded soon after, leaving Kaushik and Li to table their hands:

Each had a suited overcard to go with their trip eights, but Li had pipped Kaushik with his ace.

The 3♦ J♦ runout confirmed Kaushik’s elimination, giving Li a healthy boost to his stack.

Blinds Jue Jiang and Trinh Anh Tuan went heads-up after Jiang completed and Tuan checked. Both checked through the 2♠ 4♠ J♠ 5♦ Q♣ board, with Jiang showing A♣ K♦ for ace-high to take the pot.

Hand 2

UTG Ashwin Vijayvergiya raised to 10,000 and was called by Yihao Jiang next door. On the A♣ 4♥ 9♦ flop, Vijayvergiya check-folded to Jiang’s 15,000 bet.

Hand 3

Button Tuan raised to 10,000, then folded to small blind Nikolaos Kiourntzidis’ 45,000 three-bet.

Hand 4

Yankai Zhang raised to 10,000 from middle position. Tuan three-bet to 20,000, and Zhang called.

Zhang check-called an 18,000 bet from Tuan on the Q♥ 6♣ 9♥ flop.

Zhang moved all in for his remaining 60,000 on the turn, and Tuan snap-called. Zhang showed pocket sevens but was dominated by Tuan’s ace-queen and found no help on the runout.

From the cutoff, Harsh Bubna opened, and Superstar Challenge Champion Tran Vinh Hoan Nguyen moved all in for 47,000. Bubna called.

Earlier, Tran Duc Tuan was the first bust-out with J♥ 9♣ and immediately rebought. Now, he’s all in again for 267,000 with the same hand, facing Duy Thuc Nguyen.

A nine hit the flop 9♠ 6♦ 4♣ , holding through the turn A♦ and river 5♠ , giving Tuan the win and a major boost toward the chip leader spot. Nguyen could hardly believe it. It seems Jack-Nine is definitely Tuan’s lucky hand.

Small blind Truong Dinh Giang called after big blind Ha Manh Tuong raised to 12,000, and the two went heads up to the flop.

Giang check-called Tuong’s 8,000 continuation bet once the dealer spread Q♦ J♠ 4♦.

On the T♦ turn, Giang used a timebank before calling another 15,000.

When the 4♠ completed the board, Giang led out for 6,000. Tuong paused to use a timebank of his own, then raised to 60,000. Giang folded, sending the pot Tuong’s way.

Players are now on a 10-minute break. There will be a chip race for the 500-denomination chips during this time.

From Utg, Weining Liang open shoved for 56,500, only to be met by cutoff Bing Li for 87,000.

Hand 1

Cutoff Tranh Danh Cong raised to 6,000, and both button Pal Laksh Singh and big blind Doan Bao Nguyen came along to see the flop.

Cong and Nguyen check-folded to Singh's 7,500 bet once the 4♥ J♣ 6♣ hit the felt.

Hand 2

Thanh Do Nguyen raised to 6,000 from middle position, with blinds Bao Nguyen and Jinhui Xiao coming along this time.

All three checked the K♥ 2♠ 6♣ flop. Bao Nguyen check-folded to Xiao's 7,000 bet on the Q♦ turn, with Do Nguyen sticking around.

Do Nguyen then fired 40,000 on the T♠ river, enough to throw Xiao swiftly off the pot.

Hand 3

Do Nguyen raised to 6,000, which was called by Cong and Singh. Duc Thien Bui then moved all in for 109,500 (as confirmed by Singh). Do Nguyen asked for a count before the rest of the table folded behind him.

The flop A♥ 8♥ 6♥ was up with 77,000 in the middle. After the turn 7♣ , Xuan Khang Dinh shoved all in for 98,000. Yong Li tanked but showed his hand while thinking, prompting the dealer to call the floor. The floor waited for Li’s decision, and he eventually called.

Li failed to hit his two outer on the river A♦ , and the floor handed him a three-hand penalty for exposing his cards.

In the next hand, Nguyen Trung Ha raised to 5,500 from middle position, with Yuan Sun one seat over and big blind Ybo Wu making the call. Ha and Wu check-folded to Sun's 10,000 bet once the A♣ 7♠ 5♦ hit the flop.

The board Q♥ 9♠ 7♣ 6♥ K♦ ran with 43,500 in the middle. Valerii Riabov fired 35,000, but current chip leader Van Hai Do snap-called.

Minh dominated Nguyen from the start. The flop K♦ 6♣ 2♠ nearly secured the win for Minh, and the turn 5♣ sealed the deal. The river 3♣ was just a formality. Nguyen was eliminated but stayed seated to finish his food before leaving the table.

Cutoff Dan Anh Tuan raised to 4,000 and found one caller, Shihao He in the big blind.

He checked on the K♦ 2♦ A♥ flop, and Tuan fired 3,000 into the middle.

On the A♣ turn, He took the lead with a 15,000 bet. Tuan pondered for a while before making the call.

The 6♣ landed on the river, and He moved all in with the covering stack. Tuan promptly called, revealing He’s 2♥ 2♣ for a full house.

Tuan nonchalantly flicked over A♦ A♠ for quad aces, to the amazement of the table.

With 110,000 already in the middle K♠ 3♣ 4♦ 7♠ , Duc Cuong Nguyen was all in on the turn for his remaining 36,500, and Thi Xoa Nguyen made the call.

Duc Cuong was ahead and just needed to fade a jack, but the J♠ river brought one of Thi Xoa’s three outs, ending Duc Cuong’s run in brutal fashion.

A total of 498 entries have been confirmed (321 unique), with 219 players still battling it out on the felt - 12.5% of the field is guaranteed a cash, meaning the money bubble will burst at 63 players. Hand-for-hand play will commence when the field reaches 65.

Zeyu Chen opened to 4,000 and was called by hijack Nguyen Van Chien and big blind Ngoc Thai Luong, taking them three-ways to the flop.

Once the 6♠ 6♣ 5♦ hit the felt, Luong moved all in for his last 10,000 chips, and only Chen called.

When the dealer revealed the 8♠ turn, Chien slammed the table in frustration (presumably after folding the nuts,) before the A♥ completed the board, keeping Chen’s pocket nines ahead and eliminating Luong right after registration closed.

Cutoff Himanshu Chhikara opened and got called by both blinds. On the flop T♦ 8♦ 3♦ , Chhikara continued for 7,000, with only small blind Van Vuong Nguyen making the call. Chhikara fired again for 11,000 on the turn 8♣ , another check-call from Nguyen.

No slowing down from Chhikara as he blasted 19,000 on the river K♠ , but Nguyen snap-called.

Nguyen’s trip eights crushed Chhikara’s bluff attempt, pulling in a nice pot for the local player.

Valerii Riabov completed in the small blind and Vu Chau Duong checked in the big.

Riabov check-called a 2,000 bet from Duong once the 8♣ 6♠ 5♥ flop hit the felt.

Both players checked the 8♠ turn to the T♠ river, where Riabov cautiously slid 2,500 into the middle. Duong made the call.

"Ahh, bluff!" Riabov said, referencing his own hand as he flipped over 4♦ 2♥ for a missed straight-come-bluff. Duong took down the pot with 6♦ 3♣ for a pair of sixes.

Already 460 entries with 240 players remaining in the field. This is the final level to enter Main Event Flight 1D, but don’t worry, Flight 1E (Turbo Flight) kicks off later at 5:30 p.m. local time, giving players one last chance to join the action!

Xuan Tuan Nguyen opened pre-flop and faced a 3-bet to 7,400 from small blind Alfie Adam. Nguyen made the call, and after Adam pushed out a stack of 5K chips on the flop A♣ J♠ 2♣ , Nguyen moved all in for his remaining 25,100.

Nguyen was looking for a double-up after the turn 6♥ , but the dealer delivered heartbreak. Adam spiked one of his two outs on the river K♦ , eliminating Nguyen on a brutal hand.

Amit Kaushik opened to 2,500 from middle position and received three calls — from cutoff Satsuki Suzuki, button Shigeaki Okada, and big blind Beomseok Son - taking the action four ways to the flop.

Action checked through the Q♥ 9♣ 4♠ flop to the 9♠ turn, where Suzuki fired 5,400 into the middle. Only Kaushik stuck around.

Kaushik checked the A♦ river, and Suzuki fired again, this time for 15,000. After burning a time bank, Kaushik made the call, only to see Suzuki reveal A♣ 7♦ for top pair after catching an ace on the river.

Just two levels remain before registration closes for Day 1d. Still more than enough time for those wanting to get back in!

Superstar Challenge Winner Tran Vinh Hoan Nguyen suffered a brutal river blow at the hands of Van Chien Nguyen.

Action began with Tran Vinh opening from UTG and Ngoc Tuan Pham calling. On the button, Van Chien Nguyen raised to 8,000, and both opponents called. After Van Chien’s 13,000 bet on the flop K♦ T♣ 7♦ , only Tran Vinh continued.

On the turn A♣ , Tran Vinh led 10,000, only to face a snap shove from Van Chien. Already pot-committed, Tran Vinh called, leading against Van Chien.

But fate had other plans, a devastating river J♦ gave Van Chien the straight, eliminating Tran Vinh, who headed straight to the cashier for a rebuy.

Fresh off her victory in the A$350 NLH Monster at APLPT, Jenny Chhauv is showing no signs of slowing down. She opened to 2,000, and Danh Cong Tran raised to 4,500, which Chhauv called.

Both players checked the flop Q♦ J♦ 9♠ , but on the turn 8♥ , Chhauv led out for 7,000, and Tran made the call. When Chhauv fired again for 11,000 on the river 5♥ , Tran finally gave up his hand, giving Chhauv the pot with her relentless aggression.

After losing to Pham Thi Minh Hong's queens on a previous hand, small blind Koichi Inoue got his ~7,000-chip short stack in against button Ferenc Torok, who called looking to take him out.

The 4♦ 6♥ J♦ flop looked good for Inoue, but the Q♥ 9♥ completed the board, giving Torok a higher pair and sending Inoue back to the registration desk for another crack at it.

Billionaire Club Champion Benjamin LeBlond is now in action at the Main Event and has already scored a big double-up.

After pre-flop action built the pot to around 15,500, Hai Yen Nguyen moved all in for 39,000, and LeBLond called all in for 39,800 after the flop 5♥ 4♣ 2♦ .

LeBlond just needed to avoid a seven and successfully did so as both the turn J♣ and river T♠ missed, securing his double-up and keeping him strong in the field.

Yishou Han raised to 1,600 from middle position and was called by Woojin Kim a couple of seats over.

On the 8♦ 7♠ 4♣ flop, Han check-raised to 5,000 after Kim’s 1,700 bet. Kim moved all-in with his covering stack, and Han snap-called. Both tabled eight-seven offsuit, to amusement from the table.

The 2♣ K♥ runout changed nothing, and the pot was chopped evenly.

Pre-flop action saw Trung Kien Nguyen move all in for 19200, facing table chip leader Do Van Hai.

Tianshi Hu raised to 1,300 from the button and blinds Tingjia Cao and Son Anh Tran Minh came along.

All three checked through the J♥ 3♥ 2♠ Q♣ board, and on the 7♥ river Cao fired 4,500, taking it down uncontested.

In the following hand, Cao raised to 1,500, with Minh and big blind Ruiji Xie joining in. Once the 7♣ T♣ J♦ flop fell, Minh led for 1,500, forcing folds from both Cao and Xie.

The board 8♠ 7♣ 2♦ 3♦ was up with around 25000 in the middle. Current chip leader Viet Tien Nguyen fired 13000, and Trung Kien Nguyen check-called. On the river 6♥ , Viet Tien bet 40000, Trung Kien checked then called.

Trung Kien had a flush draw on the turn but missed the river. With only a middle pair, he fell short, allowing Viet Tien's pair of tens to take the pot and extend his early chip lead.

The 3♦ landed on the turn, and this time Shuto led out for 2,500, enough to shake Nguyen off and take down the pot.
