Teng Yu Yu Emerges As Flight B Leader
The TMT 17 Main Event Flight B had a total of 400 entries. The massive field lead to an electrifying day full of explosive poker action. Main Event Day1B ran through twenty-two levels before the field drew down to 8% at 32 survivors. With an impressive NTD 32,500,000 (~USD 1,000,000) guaranteed prize pool, It is expected to see many of the players who did not make the cut today to return for another chance to qualify for next Sunday's Day 2. Six more heats are due to follow beginning this Wednesday, January 15th, available each day through the weekend.
Taiwan's Teng Yu Yu topped today's TMT Main Event Say1B - Early Bird, with a massive 851,000 (42.5 BB) and tailing in close second is Malaysia’s Lu Jie Wong with 807,000 chips (40BB). Teng Yu Yu got his first major when he called Lin Li’s all-in with 3♠ Q♥ . Lin Li at the time held A♦ 3♣ . Things did not look good for Teng Yu Yu until the board ran 4♠ 2♥ 8♥ T♦ Q♣ giving him the win. This is when Teng Yu Yu doubled his stack to 300,000 chips.
