Andrew Ma entered the day as second chip leader but has now gone bust early with Justin Wu shipping it. Hand opens with a raise from utg+1, hijack Ma three-bets 70,000, big blind Wu four-bets 170,000, initial raiser folds, Ma flats to slow the pace.

Flop comes A♣ K♣ Q♣ , Wu continues for 180,000, Ma flats, turn is J♥ . Wu shoves 540,000, Ma tanks with 527,000 behind, then can't find reason not to call and risks it.

Day 1A of the Main Event wrapped up with Hong Kong's Andrew Ma (Chun Yu Ma) bagging the lead with over a million in chips. Ma topped the 50 survivors out of the thunderous 329 field. Stay tuned for the recap.

Faced with a raise, Andrew Ma three-bets 65,000 and Hwasoo defends his initial raise. With the board running 4♦ A♦ 9♦ 8♠ 3♥ , Ma bets 32,000, 68,000, and 215,000, Hwasoo check-calls throughout and shows A♣ Q♣ top pair. Ma's A♠ K♥ kicker plays to drag in a big pot and rise to the top of the counts.

Hwansoo raises 13,000, Andrew Ma makes it 36,000, Hwasoo punches back with 81,000, Ma surrenders his hand.

Looking down at 5♥ 8♥ , button player Andrew Ma raises 12,000 then calls small blind Ko Chia Hsiang's 3500 re-raise. Both check to the turn A♠ 8♠ 2♥ Q♥ . Ma bets 30,000 and Ko check-calls. Bigger bet by Ma on the river 8♦ unloading it all for 103,000, Ko snap-calls.

Ko Chia Hsiang flips over A♥ 5♦ top pair however it's not good enough against Ma's trips.
