TMT Championship 2024 Flight D Mini Main (NT$ 3M GTD) (Event #6)

Jun Lun Liao raised all-in from the hi-jack and was called by Yong Cing Zeng at the big blind for his remaining do-or-die 45,000 chips.

Both players missed the board, but Liao had the upper hand with the A-high to eliminate Yong ZIng Zeng as the bubble boy.

TMT Championship 2024 Flight C Mini Main (NT$ 3M GTD) (Event #6)

The Bubble has burst!

Hi-jack Shun Yi Zheng raised to 30,000 and put his remaining 302,000 chips at risk along with his tournament life when he called the all-in re-raise of Yu Ting Chen from the button.

Shun Yi Zheng led most of the way and was on track to double up. However, the river paired Yu Ting Chen's ten to make a better two pair against the pair eights of Zheng, sending Zheng home as the bubble boy.

Kazuyuki Tanemura Wins Bubble Rush (Event #8)

Kazuyuki Tanemura - Bubble Rush Champion

TMT Championship 2024 Bubble Rush (Event #8)

25 hopefuls made the NT$ 5,000 (~US$ 155) buy-in of the TMT Championship 2024 Bubble Rush (Event #8) with the top 4 players getting the privilege of a payout from the NT$ 103,100 (~US$ 3,200) prize pool. Japanese poker pro Kazuyuki Tanemura bested Tsugunari Toma in the final heads-up battle to win the TMT Championship trophy and a purse of NT$ 46,500 (~US$ 1,450).

This is the first recorded championship of Kazuyuki Tanemura since June 2019 when he won the APPT Manila PHP20,000 NLH - Superstack. Tanemura has made significant cashes in a lot of events since then, but this is his first championship in a long time... (at least, according to The Hendon Mob). The win inches him closer to breaking the $US 200,000 mark in total live earnings.

Tsugunari Toma earned NT$ 27,800 (~US$ 860) for 2nd place.

Quick Question? with Anton Lu

Our SMP Field Reporter asked a Quick Question? to Australian poker pro Anton Lu after he became the champion of the TMT Championship 2024 Single Day HighRoller (Event #H3) at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei, Taiwan.

How does it feel to be Single Day High Roller champion?

I feel great about the win. It always feels good to win a tournament.

I registered in this event before registration closed. Just because I felt tired, I didn’t really want to play throughout the day. I was sleeping throughout the day, came in, then registered and ran hot. I won a bunch of flips and then won the tournament.

How was the final table?

The final table had a bunch of good Taiwanese players. It definitely wasn’t an easy final table.

Anton Lu Wins TMT Championship Single Day High Roller (Event #H3)

Level 21: 10,000 / 20,000 ante: 20,000
Anton Lu - TMT Championship Single Day High Roller Champion

TMT Championship 2024 Single Day HighRoller (Event #H3)

The heads-up battle didn't last very long. In just a few hands, it was over. In the final hand...

Anton Lu made the 40,000 min-raise and called the 100,000 re-raise by Ko Chia Hsiang. Both players were given a flop of 9 8 6. Hsiang started off with a 75,000 bet that was met by Lu to see a 7 on the turn. Hsiang pushed his last 480,000 all-in and Lu made the snap call.

Anton Lu turned a straight to crack the pocket kings of Hsiang and eliminate him at second place. The 5 on the river was just a formality.

Anton Lu was awarded the champion's purse of NT$ 475,900 (~US$ 14,800) accompanied by a TMT Championship trophy. Anton Lu has been playing around Asia. The last time he won a championship was back in September 2024 when he took down the ₫ 22,000,000 No Limit Hold'em - Mini High Roller at the U Series of Poker Hai Phong. He made a few more final table cashes at that series and also at the Poker Dream 12 Jeju in Korea.

Ko Chia Hsiang earned NT$ 280,700 (~US$ 8,750) for the runner-up finish

It's down to the last two to battle for the championship of the Single Day HighRoller (Event #43). Who will claim the TMT Championship trophy and the top prize of NT$ 475,900 (~US$ 14,800)?

Anton Lu of Australia has a near two-to-on advantage in chips over Ko Chia Hsiang of Taiwan, but that doesn't assure the victory. Not in poker. Anything is still possible.

Action was checked to Chun at the button who bet 10,000. Lin called the 10,000. When action came to Jeewon Kim, he three-bet to 36,000. Both players called behind and a K came on the turn. Action was checked to Chen Tzu Chun, who fired 40,000. Lin backed down while Kim stayed on to see a 4 on the river. Kim checked while Chun released another 100,000. Kim tanked for two lifetimes and eventually made the call.

Jeewon Kim flipped over A Q for a ten-to-ace broadway straight. Chun mucked.

TMT Championship 2024 Flight D Mini Main (NT$ 3M GTD) (Event #6)

Flight D - the last and final flight - of Mini Main (NT$ 3M GTD) is under way with 22 players getting a jump start when cards were first dealt. The entry numbers are sure to rise before the reg deadline ends after three hours from opening.

Survivors of Flight D will join the remaining qualifiers from three other flights to advance to tomorrow's Day 2 Final.

Among the players seen at the tables of Flight D Mini Main (NT$ 3M GTD) are Japanese poker pro Saciko Uchihara, who is fresh from her recent success at the APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024 where she won the NT$ 2,000 NLH - Women's Event and was runner-up at the NT$ 3,000 NLH - Poker Queen. Uchihara has not only dominated women's NLH events, but she also came 6th at the NT$ 10,000 Dealer's Choice, which offers more poker variants than just No Limit Hold-em. She's definitely well-versed at speaking any kind of poker.

Taiwanese poker pro Kun Han Lee is also on the field. Lee has a dozen cashes this year, including a 3rd place finish in the ₫ 22,000,000No Limit Hold'em - Mini High Roller of the U Series of Poker in Hai Phong, Vietnam last September 2024.

Josei Kamei recently won the KRW 400,000 No Limit Hold'em - Turbo in Poker Dream 12 at Jeju, South Korea earlier this October, and is now riffling chips at this last flight.
