The 886 entry RDPT Jeju II 2025 Championship with a colossal KR₩ 2 Billion (~$1,451,326) prize pool concludes and has two recreational players on top, banking life changing scores after a lopsided heads-up that only lasted for eight hands. The entirety of the final table was barely longer than the bubble last night with less than four hours and saw Bohong Yu crowned as the new champion on hand #62.

After winning his first trophy, the Champion's Jacket and a massive first prize of almost a quarter million US dollars he said:

It feels very good and exciting! I feel very happy now, but it doesn't have a special meaning to me. I fantasized about how it would feel to win the Main Event, but after winning the event I feel different.

This concludes one of the shortest, if not the shortest, Main Event Final 9 in Red Dragon history after the longest bubble on record last night with seven players banking career high cashes along the way today. Both players stand up with their eyes fixated on the dealers hands flipping over 9♠ Q♠ J♥ 9♣ and Yu throws his fist in the air and shouts when the T♥ river makes his first tournament victory official and sends Huang home with a massive cash as his first recorded live result.

Hand #55: Entering a very lopsided heads-up with a 5:1 lead, Bohong Yu walks.

Hand #56: Yu opens 700,000 and collects the blinds.

Hand #57: Haitao Huang leads 700,000 and Yu defends before folding to a 450,000 c-bet from Yu on the 3♦ A♥ 3♥ flop.

Hand #58: Yu limps before filling up a 900,000 raise from Huang and the T♣ 2♥ 2♣ flop hits the felt. Huang's 400,000 continuation gets called, the 5♠ turn is checked to the K♥ river and Huang takes it down with a 1,200,000 bet.

Flipping for the biggest pot of the tournament, Pan misses on 7♦ 8♠ 8♦ 6♥ 5♥ and his hunt for the second RDPT Main Event Title grinds to a halt.

Barely a sweat for Yu on 7♥ 9♠ A♠ A♥ 3♦ and the remaining three have a six-digit score secured.

Hand #45: Button Peng Zhou raises 500,000 and big blind Haitao Huang defends to see the 8♣ 6♣ 2♠ flop where he calls a 350,000 c-bet before both check down to the A♥ turn and A♠ river with Huang's 6♥ 5♥ beating K♦ J♥ from Zhou.

Hand #46: Zhou picks up the blinds with a min raise from under the gun.

Hand #47: Button Huang makes it 500,000 and takes small blind Yuefeng Pan to the 8♦ J♠ J♣ turn. Huang continues for 300,000 and fills up after Pan check-raised to 750,000. Pan forks out another 1,400,000 on the 4♠ turn which is enough to push Huang off the hand after using a time bank.

Hand #48: Now it is Pan who raises 500,000 from the button and big blind Bohong Yu comes along for the ride to the J♦ Q♦ 6♦ flop. Pan triple barrels 350,000, 950,000 and 2,700,000 on the 3♣ turn and 7♥ river with Yu calling all the way holding 8♦ 6♥ against Pan's 9♦ 7♦ flush. Yu needed two time banks to find the call on the river.

Hand #49: First to act Pan puts 500,000 in the middle and finds no takers.

Hand #42: Yuefeng Pan walks.

Hand #43: First to act Bohong Yu min-raises and small blind Pan defends to see the A♠ A♣ K♥ flop where he check-calls 350,000 from Yu and another 875,000 on the 3♠ turn before the Q♠ river gets checked down and Yu tables the K♦ J♦ winner against 6♠ 6♥ from Pan.

Hand #44: Button Yuefeng Pan wants 500,000 and big blind Yu defends to watch the A♠ 7♣ 4♠ hit the felt. Pan's 400,000 continuation gets called before the 5♦ turn and Q♦ river get rejected with Yu's Q♥ 7♠ having the upper hand against Q♠ 3♠ from Pan.

Hand #38: Haitao Huang shoves the small blind to collect the blinds.

Hand #39: Small blind Yuefeng Pan raises 825,000, but lets it go when faced with a 3,900,000 all-in from Peng Zhou.

Hand #40: Under the gun Huang wants 550,000 and button Pan obliges to see the 3♠ 2♠ 4♣ flop where Huang starts a triple barrel sequence of 375,000, 900,000 and 1,700,000 to the Q♣ turn and J♥ river with Pan surrendering in the end.

Hand #41: Now Pan leads 500,000 from utg and Bohong Yu joins from the small blind before check-folding to Pan's 500,000 continuation on the 7♣ Q♣ 6♣ flop.

Dead on arrival, Huang doesn't need to see the 9♣ river to realize he picked the wrong spot to semi-bluff.

Hand #30: Bohong Yu collects blinds with min-raise from the button.

Hand #31: Haitao Huang tries the same, but small blind Yuefeng Pan jams 5,200,000 to scoop.

Hand #32: First to act Huang goes for another 500,000 open and big blind Bohong Yu defends to see the 9♣ 6♥ 2♣ flop where he calls a 350,000 continuation from Huang before letting it go on the 2♥ turn against a 1,300,000 second barrel from Huang.

Hand #33: Pan lays out 500,000 from under the gun, but surrenders to button Peng Zhou's 3,000,000 jam.

Hand #28: A limped blind battle is checked to the 3♦ Q♠ 4♠ J♦ turn where small blind Peng Zhou tests the waters for 250,000 and Bohong Yu tags along to the 9♣ river. Zhou checks before surrendering to a 1,700,000 bet from Yu.

Hand #29: Under the gun Yuefeng Pan min-raises and big blind Haitao Huang defends to see the 4♦ 2♦ K♠ flop where he calls a 300,000 c-bet from Pan, the Q♦ turn gets checked to the 7♦ river and Pan lays out another 900,000. Huang check raises to 2,500,000, Pan calls and throws it in the muck after seeing Huang's hand which nobody else than the players could see due to a graphics error.

Hand #23: Under the gun Bohong Yu opens 500,000 with no takers.

Hand #24: Yuefeng Pan does the same from the button.

Hand #25: Small blind Bohong Yu increases the fee to 750,000 and big blind Haitao Huang defends to see the 8♠ J♦ A♠ flop where he folds to Yu's 475,000 c-bet.

Hand #26: Peng Zhou collects the dead money with a min-open from under the gun.

Hand #27: First to act Bohong Yu slides 500,000 over the line and big blind Peng Zhou fills up to watch the K♠ Q♣ 7♣ flop drop. Yu triple barrels 375,000, 1,500,000 and 3,700,000 to the 8♠ turn and 9♥ river where Zhou takes a time bank before making a strong fold with K♣ J♥ against Yu's J♣ T♥ straight.

Hand #21: Button Peng Zhou makes it 450,000, but lets it go after small blind Bohong Yu increased to 1,500,000.

Hand #22: Haitao Huang open-limps the small blind before folding to a 600,000 raise from Yuefeng Pan.

Another quick affair with the A♣ in the window and the board completing 2♣ 3♠ 2♠ K♥ which leaves the field with only four players less than 20 hands into the final table.

Pan jumps ahead on Q♥ T♦ 5♣ 3♦ 7♥ and leaves Shi in the dust.

Hand #14: Hijack Yuefeng Pan puts 400,000 in front and finds two takers to share the 4♦ K♠ Q♠ flop with. He continues for 600,000, button Peng Zhou flats, but Tao Li's 1,500,000 check-raise scares both of them away.

Hand #15: Yuefeng Pan min-opens the lojack and fills up small blind Tao Li's 1,200,000 three-bet to lay eyes on the 9♣ 5♥ 5♣ flop. Li triple barrels 500,000, 1,100,000 and 2,300,000 to the 6♣ turn and J♥ river where Pan jams with 9♠ 9♦ and Li snaps for 500,000 more with A♥ A♣ .

The dealer makes quick work of Chu by flipping over A♠ J♥ 8♥ Q♦ 6♣ and the first contender hits the rail.

Hand #4: Small blind Peng Zhou puts Ning Chu all-in who needs a time bank before letting it go.

Hand #5: Haitao Huang declares all-in for 2,900,000 in +1 and collects the blinds.

Hand #6: Cutoff Yuefeng Pan wants 400,000 and big blind Tao Li defends to see the 3♠ T♥ K♥ flop where he calls a 250,000 c-bet from Pan before folding to an 800,000 second barrel on the Q♦ turn.

After the ceremony everyone is in their seats and cards are in the air!

The Red Dragon Poker Tour Jeju II 2025 concludes today, July 13, at the Landing Casino inside the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa World Resort with the Final 9 of the KR₩ 2.5 Million (~$1,815) Red Dragon Championship taking center stage. The event missed breaking the colossal KR₩ 2 Billion (~$1,451,326) guaranteed prize pool by just three entries after attracting a total of 886 players over the five opening flights.

After Day 2 ended early with players dropping like flies once the money was reached - which led the organizers to play down to a player cap instead of the planned 10 levels - Day 3 was the complete opposite. A more than three hour long bubble with countless walks, players stalling for the full amount every hand - it got so bad that the floor announced a three hand penalty for any player trying to check the action at the other table - and every all-in going to the short stacks. The saga concluded when Tao Li min-opened T♠ 9♣ before calling Wenhao Ying's 7BB shove with A♦ 6♣ and the board ran J♣ 8♥ 7♥ 7♣ 3♣ .

China's Bohong Yu bagged the lead with 5,550,000 (37 BB) after a roller coaster ride towards the end of a day that he started in the bottom quarter of the field with only 335,000 (17 BB). His first break came right after the cards were in the air, busting fellow short stack Jun Li with A♥ K♦ against Li's 7♠ 7♦ . Away from our eyes on the feature table, he chipped up consistently adding more chips on almost every table update we posted even becoming chip leader at one point. Then the bubble started and his roller coaster ride began. He tussled a lot with Tao Li - one of the most aggressive players left in the field - and was down to 15BB right after the last level started. He turned it around on a three-way flop 5♦ 7♥ J♥ with J♠ 8♠ where he jammed into a lead from Tao Li who called with 9♠ 7♠ and the poker gods were kind with the board blanking 3♥ and T♣ . We had a chat with him right after the day ended:

Congrats on bagging the lead on Day 3! How do you feel?

I feel very good. After long hours of playing I can finally get a rest.

What was the plan going into Day 3? You were at the bottom with 17BB when the day started.

To be honest I don't have any plans going into Day 3 I just played normally.

Tell us some key hands that got you to the top?

I don't remember any key hands that got me on top. I'm just lucky.

You already have the biggest cash of your career secured, what's the plan for the Final Table?

Just enjoy the game.

How did you hear about the RDPT? It's your first time here, right?

This is my first time here at the RDPT and my friends called me to come and play.

How and when did you get into poker?

I started playing live 5 years ago.

Is it just a hobby, or do you have bigger aspirations?

Yeah this is my hobby.

He is closely followed by Peng Zhou with 5,225,000 (35 BB), Yuefeng Pan - the most accomplished player left in the field with almost $1M in live earnings and a main event title this year already - with 5,150,000 (34 BB) and his Day 3 nemesis Tao Li who also has 5,150,000 (34 BB) and will sit to his immediate left on the final table.

All of them have at least KR₩ 26,000,000 (~$18,943) secured - already the biggest career cash for more than half of the players left in the field - and the possibility of a life changing KR₩ 337,200,000 (~$245,493) for the top spot.
