Day 1A Reaches The End With Qing Zhao Bagging The Lead

The first of four entry flights for the Red Dragon Championship ended with 49 out of 209 total entries bagging their chips for Day 2 at the end of level 14.

The leaderboard had a complete overhaul in the last level mostly due to the action table 17 with Qing Zhao, Luyao Wu, Qingbo Gao and Wei Hsiang Wang - who all occupied the top spot at some point during the closing stage - trading blows with multiple pots exceeding 500,000.

Qing Zhao ran it up the most with two double ups against Wei Hsiang Wang and Luyao Wu on the buzzer that got him from 133,000 to 632,000 within a few minutes, topping the leaderboard in the end. Qingbo Gao also dipped into Wang's stack for a double up last minute finishing the day in 2nd with 528,000.

Today's 49 qualifiers will have to wait until 12:00 on Wednesday the 7th of May before they can start caressing their chips again.

The next chance to qualify is Day 1B tomorrow at 12:00 with the same structure as today.
