Mystery Bounty Flight B Sees GTD Prize Pool More than double, Takumi leads 34 moving on
After 186 entries comprised the Flight A crowd, 228 descended upon Flight B of (Event #32B) the Mystery Bounty where the original PhP2,000,000 (~US$35,590) GTD prize pool skyrocketed to PhP4,417,380 (~US$78,615).
Just as the dust was settling from the Main Event Day 1B battles, it was this session’s chip leader Asahara Takumi who dealt the knockout blow on the bubble when he called the shove of short stack and fellow Japanese player Seizo Fujino. Fujino tabled A♣ T♣ and Takumi was live with K♠ 2♣ on the duty call. The flop went 3♦ J♠ 2♥ as Takumi connected with bottom pair and it was enough to get the job done as the rest of the runout went 4♠ J♥ to catapult 34 runners into the finale which takes place later (June 14) at 12:00NN (UCT+8).
Takumi sits atop the Flight B leaderboard with 417,000 while Edison Yu of the Philippines amassed 372,000 for second place. Another Filipino in Buds Ampatuan had 347,000 and got third.
Flight A’s Hatim Hussein of Australia is still the overall chip leader with 469,000.
